2 Tu, pastore d'Israele, ascolta, tu che guidi Giuseppe come un gregge, tu che siedi sui cherubini, rifulgi	2 over Ephraim, Benjamin and Manasseh; rouse your valour and come to our help.
3 davanti a Efraim, Beniamino e Manasse. Risveglia la tua potenza e vieni in nostro soccorso.	3 God, bring us back, let your face shine on us and we shall be safe.
4 O Dio delle schiere, rialzaci, fa' splendere il tuo volto e noi saremo salvi.	4 Yahweh, God Sabaoth, how long wil you flare up at your people's prayer?
5 Signore, Dio delle schiere, fino a quando fremerai di sdegno contro la supplica del tuo popolo?	5 You have made tears their food, redoubled tears their drink.
6 Hai dato loro da mangiare pane di lacrime, hai dato loro da bere lacrime in abbondanza.	6 You let our neighbours quarrel over us, our enemies mock us.
7 Ci hai resi quale scherno dei nostri vicini e i nostri nemici si ridono di noi.	7 God Sabaoth, bring us back, let your face shine on us and we shall be safe.
8 O Dio delle schiere, rialzaci, fa' splendere il tuo volto e noi saremo salvi.	8 You brought a vine out of Egypt, to plant it you drove out nations;
9 Asportasti una vite dall'Egitto e la trapiantasti, dopo aver cacciato via le genti.	9 you cleared a space for it, it took root and fil ed the whole country.
10 Preparasti per essa il terreno; mise radici in modo da riempire la terra.	10 The mountains were covered with its shade, and the cedars of God with its branches,
11 Furono coperti i monti della sua ombra e i cedri maestosi dei suoi rami.	11 its boughs stretched as far as the sea, its shoots as far as the River.
