LA SACRA BIBBIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Questa è la discendenza dei figli di Noè: Sem, Cam e Iafet, ai quali nacquero dei figli, dopo il diluvio.	1 These are the descendants of Noah's sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, to whom sons were born afterthe flood:
2 I figli di Iafet: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Iavan, Tubal, Mesech e Tiras.	2 Japheth's sons: Gomer, Magog, the Medes, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, Tiras.
3 I figli di Gomer: Askenaz, Rifat e Togarma.	3 Gomer's sons: Ashkenaz, Riphath, Togarmah.
4 I figli di Iavan: Elisa, Tarsis, quelli di Cipro e quelli di Rodi.	4 Javan's sons: Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittim, the Dananites.
5 Da costoro si suddivisero le popolazioni delle isole delle genti. Questi furono i figli di Iafet nei loro territori, ciascuno secondo la sua lingua, secondo le loro famiglie, nelle loro diverse nazioni.	5 From these came the dispersal to the islands of the nations. These were Japheth's sons, in theirrespective countries, each with its own language, by clan and nation.
6 I figli di Cam: Etiopia, Egitto, Put e Canaan.	6 Ham's sons: Cush, Mizraim, Put, Canaan.
7 I figli di Etiopia: Seba, Avila, Sabta, Raama e Sàbteca. I figli di Raama: Saba e Dedan.	7 Cush's sons: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, Sabteca. Raamah's sons: Sheba, Dedan.
8 Ora Etiopia generò Nimrod: costui fu il primo a divenire potente nella regione.	8 Cush fathered Nimrod who was the first potentate on earth.

11 Di lì uscì in Assur e costruì Ninive, le piazze della città, Calach	11 From this country came Asshur, and he built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah,

20 Questi furono i figli di Cam secondo le loro famiglie e le loro lingue, nei loro territori e nelle loro diverse nazioni.	20 These were Ham's sons, by clans and languages, by countries and nations.
21 Anche a Sem, l'antenato di tutti i figli di Eber, fratello maggiore di Iafet, nacque una discendenza.	21 Shem too fathered sons, being ancestor of all the sons of Eber and Japheth's elder brother.
22 Figli di Sem: Elam, Assur, Arpacsàd, Lud, Aram.	22 Shem's sons: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, Aram.
