1 Radunatevi, raccoglietevi, o gente spudorata,	1 Gather, gather yourselves together, O nation without shame!
2 prima di essere travolti come pula che scompare in un giorno; prima che piombi su di voi la collera furiosa del Signore.	2 Before you are driven away, like chaff that passes on; Before there comes upon you the blazing anger of the LORD: Before there comes upon you the day of the LORD'S anger.
3 Cercate il Signore voi tutti, umili della terra, che eseguite i suoi ordini; cercate la giustizia, cercate l'umiltà, per trovarvi al riparo nel giorno dell'ira del Signore.	3 Seek the LORD, all you humble of the earth, who have observed his law; Seek justice, seek humility; perhaps you may be sheltered on the day of the LORD'S anger.
4 Gaza infatti sarà desolata e Ascalòna ridotta a un deserto. Asdòd in pieno giorno sarà deportata ed Ekròn distrutta dalle fondamenta.	4 For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon shall be a waste, Ashdod they shall drive out at midday, and Ekron shall be uprooted.
5 Guai agli abitanti della costa del mare, alla gente dei Cretei! La parola del Signore è contro di te, Canaan, paese dei Filistei: "Io ti distruggerò privandoti di ogni abitante.	5 Woe to you who dwell by the seacoast, to the Cretan folk! The word of the LORD is against you, I will humble you, land of the Philistines, and leave you to perish without an inhabitant!
6 Diverrai pascoli di pastori e recinti di greggi".	6 The coastland of the Cretans shall become fields for shepherds, and folds for flocks.
7 La costa del mare apparterrà al resto della casa di Giuda; in quei luoghi pascoleranno e a sera nelle case di Ascalòna prenderanno riposo, quando il Signore loro Dio li avrà visitati e avrà restaurato le loro sorti.	7 The coast shall belong to the remnant of the house of Judah; by the sea they shall pasture. In the houses of Ashkelon at evening they shall couch their flocks, For the LORD their God shall visit them, and bring about their restoration.
8 "Ho udito l'insulto di Moab e gli oltraggi degli Ammoniti, con i quali hanno insultato il mio popolo gloriandosi del loro territorio.	8 I have heard the revilings uttered by Moab, and the insults of the Ammonites, When they reviled my people and made boasts against their territory.
9 Perciò, com'è vero ch'io vivo, - parola del Signore degli eserciti Dio d'Israele - Moab diventerà come Sòdoma e gli Ammoniti come Gomorra: un luogo invaso dai pruni, una cava di sale, un deserto per sempre. 13 Stenderà la mano anche al settentrione e distruggerà Assur, farà di Ninive una desolazione, arida come il deserto.	13 He will stretch out his hand against the north, to destroy Assyria; He will make Nineveh a waste, dry as the desert.
14 Alloggeranno in mezzo a lei, a branchi, tutti gli animali della valle.
