1 Béséléel travailla donc à tous ces ouvrages avec Ooliab et tous les hommes habiles (sages) à qui le Seigneur avait donné la sagesse et l'intelligence, afin qu'ils sussent faire excellemment (habilement) ce qui était nécessaire pour l'usage du sanctuaire et tout ce que le Seigneur avait ordonné.	1 Therefore, Bezalel, and Oholiab, and every wise man, to whom the Lord gave wisdom and intelligence, so as to know how to work skillfully, made that which was necessary for the uses of the Sanctuary and which the Lord had instructed.
2 Or Moïse les ayant fait venir avec tous les hommes habiles auxquels le Seigneur avait donné la sagesse et ceux qui s'étaient offerts d'eux-mêmes pour travailler à cet ouvrage,	2 And when Moses had called them and every man of learning, to whom the Lord had given wisdom, and who, of their own accord, had offered themselves in order to accomplish this work,
3 il leur mit entre les mains toutes les offrandes des enfants d'Israël. Et comme ils s'appliquaient (avec ardeur) à avancer cet ouvrage, le peuple offrait encore tous les jours au matin de nouveaux dons.	3 he handed over to them all the donations of the sons of Israel. And while they were pursuing this work, the people offered what they had vowed each day, in the morning.
4 C'est pourquoi les ouvriers furent obligés	4 The artisans were compelled by this to go
5 de venir dire à Moïse : Le peuple offre plus qu'il n'est nécessaire.	5 to Moses and to say, “The people offer more than is needed.”
6 Moïse commanda donc qu'on fît cette déclaration publiquement par la voix d'un héraut : Que nul homme et nulle femme n'offre plus rien à l'avenir pour les ouvrages du sanctuaire. Ainsi on cessa d'offrir des présents à Dieu,	6 Therefore, Moses ordered this to be recited, with a voice of proclamation: “Let neither man nor woman offer anything further for the work of the Sanctuary.” And so they ceased from offering gifts,
7 parce que ce qu'on avait déjà offert suffisait, et qu'il y en avait même plus qu'il n'en fallait.	7 because what was offered was sufficient and was more than an abundance.
8 (Et) Tous ces hommes dont le cœur était rempli de sagesse pour travailler aux ouvrages du tabernacle, firent donc dix rideaux de fin lin retors, d'hyacinthe, de pourpre et d'écarlate teinte deux fois, le tout en broderie d'un ouvrage excellent (travail varié) de différentes couleurs.	8 And all those who were wise of heart, in order to accomplish the work of the tabernacle, made ten curtains of fine twisted linen, and hyacinth, and purple, and twice-dyed scarlet, with diverse workmanship by the art of embroidery.
9 Chaque rideau avait vingt-huit coudées de long et quatre de large, et tous les rideaux étaient d'une même mesure.	9 Each of these was twenty-eight cubits in length, and in width, four. All the curtains were of one measure.
10 Cinq de ces rideaux tenaient l'un à l'autre, et les cinq autres étaient de même joints ensemble.	10 And he joined five curtains to one another, and the other five he coupled to one another.
11 L'un des rideaux avait des cordons (lacs) d'hyacinthe sur le bord (d'un rideau) des deux côtés, et l'autre rideau avait de même des cordons au bord,	11 He also made loops of hyacinth along the edge of one curtain on both sides, and similarly along the edge of the other curtain,
12 afin que les cordons (lacs) se trouvant vis-à-vis l'un de l'autre, les rideaux fussent joints ensemble.	12 so that the loops might meet against one another and might be joined together.
13 C'est pourquoi ils firent aussi fondre cinquante anneaux d'or où se pussent attacher les cordons (lacs) des rideaux, afin qu'il ne s'en fît qu'une seule tenture (tabernacle).	13 For these, he also cast fifty gold rings, which would retain the loops of the curtains and so make the tabernacle one.
14 Ils firent aussi onze couvertures de poils de chèvres pour servir (de couverture et) de toit au tabernacle.	14 He also made eleven canopies from the hair of goats, in order to cover the roof of the tabernacle:
15 Chacune de ces couvertures avait trente coudées de long et quatre de large, et elles étaient toutes de même mesure.	15 one canopy held in length thirty cubits, and in width four cubits. All the canopies were of one measure.
16 Ils en joignirent cinq ensemble et les six autres séparément.	16 Five of these he joined by themselves, and the other six separately.
17 Ils firent aussi cinquante cordons (lacs) au bout de l'une des couvertures et cinquante au bord de l'autre, afin qu'elles fussent jointes ensemble.	17 And he made fifty loops along the edge of one canopy, and fifty along the edge of the other canopy, so that they might be joined to one another,
18 Ils firent encore cinquante boucles d'airain pour les tenir attachées, afin qu'il ne s'en fît qu'un toit et qu'une seule couverture.	18 and fifty buckles of brass, with which the roof might be woven together, so that from all the canopies there would be made one covering.
19 Ils firent de plus une troisième couverture du tabernacle, de peaux de moutons (béliers) teintes en rouge, et par-dessus encore une quatrième de peaux teintes en bleu céleste (violettes).	19 He also made a covering for the tabernacle from the skins of rams, dyed-red; and another cover above it, from violet skins.
20 Ils firent aussi des ais de bois de sétim pour le tabernacle, plantés debout.	20 He also made the standing panels of the tabernacle, from setim wood.
21 Chacun de ces ais avait dix coudées de long et une coudée et demie de large.	21 Ten cubits was the length of one panel, and one and one half cubits comprised the width.
22 Chaque ais avait un tenon et une mortaise (deux emboîtements), afin qu'ils entrassent l'un dans l'autre. Tous les ais du tabernacle étaient faits de cette sorte.	22 There were two dovetails along every panel, so that one might be joined to the other. Thus did he make all the panels of the tabernacle.
23 Or il y en avait vingt du côté méridional, qui regarde le (contre le vent du) midi,	23 Of these, twenty were toward the meridian area, opposite the south,
24 avec quarante bases d'argent. Chaque ais était porté sur deux bases de chaque côté des angles, à l'endroit où l'enchâssure des côtés se termine dans les angles.	24 with forty bases of silver. Two bases were set under one panel at each of two sides at the corners, where the joints of the sides terminate in corners.
25 Ils firent aussi, pour le côté du tabernacle qui regardait l'aquilon, vingt ais	25 Likewise, at that side of the tabernacle which looks toward the north, he made twenty panels,
26 avec quarante bases d'argent, deux bases pour chaque ais.	26 with forty bases of silver, two bases for each board.
27 Mais pour le côté du tabernacle qui est à l'occident et qui regarde la mer, ils ne firent que six ais,	27 Yet truly, opposite the west, that is, toward that part of the tabernacle which looks out toward the sea, he made six panels,
28 et deux autres qui étaient dressés aux angles du fond du tabernacle (par derrière).	28 and two others at each corner of the tabernacle at the back,
29 Ils étaient joints depuis le bas jusqu'au haut et ne composaient qu'un corps tous ensemble. Ils gardèrent cette disposition dans les angles des deux côtés.	29 which were joined from bottom to top and held together by one joint. So did he make both corners on that side.
30 Il y avait huit ais en tout, qui avaient seize bases d'argent, deux bases pour chaque ais.	30 So then, there were altogether eight panels, and they had sixteen bases of silver, with, of course, two bases under each panel.
31 Ils firent aussi de grandes barres (leviers) de bois de sétim, cinq pour traverser et tenir ensemble tous les ais d'un des côtés du tabernacle,	31 He also made bars from setim wood: five to hold together the panels at one side of the tabernacle,
32 (et) cinq autres pour traverser et tenir ensemble les ais de l'autre côté, et outre celles-là, cinq autres encore pour le côté du tabernacle qui est à l'occident et qui regarde la mer.	32 and five others to fit together the panels of the other side, and, in addition to these, five other bars toward the western area of the tabernacle, opposite the sea.
33 Ils firent aussi une autre barre (levier) qui passait par le milieu des ais, depuis une extrémité jusqu'à l'autre.	33 He also made another bar, which came through the middle of the panels from corner to corner.
34 Ils couvrirent de lames d'or tous (les cloisons de) ces ais soutenus par des bases d'argent qui avaient été jetés en fonte. Ils y mirent de plus des anneaux d'or, pour y faire entrer des barres de bois qu'ils couvrirent aussi de lames d'or.	34 But the panels themselves he overlaid with gold, casting silver bases for them. And he made their rings from gold, through which the bars might be able to be drawn. And he covered the bars themselves with layers of gold.
35 Ils firent un (le) voile d'hyacinthe, de pourpre, d'écarlate, de fin lin retors, le tout en broderie et d'un ouvrage admirable par son excellente variété.	35 He also made a veil from hyacinth, and purple, from vermillion as well as fine twisted linen, with varied and distinctive embroidery,
36 Ils firent quatre colonnes de bois de sétim, qu'ils couvrirent de lames d'or avec leurs chapiteaux ; leurs bases étaient d'argent.	36 and four columns of setim wood, which, along with their heads, he overlaid with gold, casting silver bases for them.
37 Ils firent encore, pour l'entrée du tabernacle, le voile qui était d'hyacinthe, de pourpre, d'écarlate, de fin lin retors, le tout en broderie.	37 He also made a tent at the entrance of the tabernacle from hyacinth, purple, vermillion, and fine twisted linen, wrought with embroidery,
38 Ils firent aussi cinq colonnes avec leurs chapiteaux : ils les couvrirent d'or, et leurs bases furent jetées en fonte et faites d'airain.	38 and five columns with their heads, which he covered with gold, and he cast their bases from brass.
