1 Corintios 5

BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Sólo se oye hablar de inmoralidad entre vosotros, y una inmoralidad tal, que no se da ni entre los gentiles, hasta el punto de que uno de vosotros vive con la mujer de su padre.	1 It is widely reported that there is sexual immorality among you, immorality of a kind that is not foundeven among gentiles: that one of you is living with his stepmother.
2 Y ¡vosotros andáis tan hinchados! Y no habéis hecho más bien duelo para que fuera expulsado de entre vosotros el autor de semejante acción.	2 And you so fil ed with your own self-importance! It would have been better if you had been grievingbitterly, so that the man who has done this thing were turned out of the community.
3 Pues bien, yo por mi parte corporalmente ausente, pero presente en espíritu, he juzgado ya, como si me hallara presente, al que así obró:	3 For my part, however distant I am physical y, I am present in spirit and have already condemned theman who behaved in this way, just as though I were present in person.
4 que en nombre del Señor Jesús, reunidos vosotros y mi espíritu, con el poder de Jesús Señor nuestro,	4 When you have gathered together in the name of our Lord Jesus, with the presence of my spirit, and inthe power of our Lord Jesus,
5 sea entregado ese individuo a Satanás para destrucción de la carne, a fin de que el espíritu se salve en el Día del Señor.	5 hand such a man over to Satan, to be destroyed as far as natural life is concerned, so that on the Dayof the Lord his spirit may be saved.
6 ¡No es como para gloriaros! ¿No sabéis que un poco de levadura fermenta toda la masa?	6 Your self-satisfaction is il founded. Do you not realise that only a little yeast leavens the whole batch ofdough?
7 Puruficaos de la levadura vieja, para ser masa nueva; pues sois ázimos. Porque nuestro cordero pascual, Cristo, ha sido inmolado.	7 Throw out the old yeast so that you can be the fresh dough, unleavened as you are. For our Passoverhas been sacrificed, that is, Christ;
8 Así que, celebremos la fiesta, no con vieja levadura, ni con levadura de malicia e inmoralidad, sino con ázimos de pureza y verdad.	8 let us keep the feast, then, with none of the old yeast and no leavening of evil and wickedness, but onlythe unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
9 Al escribiros en mi carta que no os relacionarais con los impuros,	9 In my letter, I wrote to you that you should have nothing to do with people living immoral lives.
10 no me refería a los impuros de este mundo en general o a los avaros, a ladrones o idólatras. De ser así, tendriais que salir del mundo.	10 I was not including everybody in this present world who is sexually immoral, or everybody who isgreedy, or dishonest or worships false gods -- that would mean you would have to cut yourselves off completelyfrom the world.
11 ¡No!, os escribí que no os relacionarais con quien, llamándose hermano, es impuro, avaro, idólatra, ultrajador, borracho o ladrón. Con ésos ¡ni comer!	11 In fact what I meant was that you were not to have anything to do with anyone going by the name ofbrother who is sexual y immoral, or is greedy, or worships false gods, or is a slanderer or a drunkard ordishonest; never even have a meal with anybody of that kind.
12 Pues ¿por que voy a juzgar yo a los de fuera? ¿No es a los de dentro a quienes vosotros juzgáis?	12 It is no concern of mine to judge outsiders. It is for you to judge those who are inside, is it not?
13 A los de fuera Dios los juzgará. ¡Arrojad de entre vosotros al malvado!	13 But outsiders are for God to judge. You must banish this evil-doer from among you.
