| 1 Jerusalén, quítate tu ropa de duelo y aflición, y vístete para siempre el esplendor de la gloria que viene de Dios. | 1 Take off the garment of your sorrow and affliction, O Jerusalem, and put on for ever the beauty of the glory from God. |
| 2 Envuélvete en el manto de la justicia que procede de Dios, pon en tu cabeza la diadema de gloria del Eterno. | 2 Put on the robe of the righteousness from God; put on your head the diadem of the glory of the Everlasting. |
| 3 Porque Dios mostrará tu esplendor a todo lo que hay bajo el cielo. | 3 For God will show your splendor everywhere under heaven. |
| 4 Pues tu nombre se llamará de parte de Dios para siempre: «Paz de la Justicia» y «Gloria de la Piedad». | 4 For your name will for ever be called by God, "Peace of righteousness and glory of godliness." |
| 5 Levántate, Jerusalén, sube a la altura, tiende tu vista hacia Oriente y ve a tus hijos reunidos desde oriente a occidente, a la voz del Santo, alegres del recuerdo de Dios. | 5 Arise, O Jerusalem, stand upon the height and look toward the east, and see your children gathered from west and east, at the word of the Holy One, rejoicing that God has remembered them. |
| 6 Salieron de ti a pie, llevados por enemigos, pero Dios te los devuelve traídos con gloria, como un trono real. | 6 For they went forth from you on foot, led away by their enemies; but God will bring them back to you, carried in glory, as on a royal throne. |
| 7 Porque ha ordenado Dios que sean rebajados todo monte elevado y los collados eternos, y comados los valles hasta allanar la tierra, para que Israel marche en seguro bajo la gloria de Dios. | 7 For God has ordered that every high mountain and the everlasting hills be made low and the valleys filled up, to make level ground, so that Israel may walk safely in the glory of God. |
| 8 Y hasta las selvas y todo árbol aromático darán sombra a Israel por orden de Dios. | 8 The woods and every fragrant tree have shaded Israel at God's command. |
| 9 Porque Dios guiará a Israel con alegría a la luz de su gloria, con la misericordia y la justicia que vienen de él. Copia de la carta que envió Jeremías a los que iban a ser llevados cautivos a Babilonia por el rey de los babilonios, para comunicarles lo que Dios le había ordenado. | 9 For God will lead Israel with joy, in the light of his glory, with the mercy and righteousness that come from him. |
