1 Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the LORD!	1 How blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the Law of Yahweh!
2 Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart,	2 Blessed are those who observe his instructions, who seek him with all their hearts,
3 who also do no wrong, but walk in his ways!	3 and, doing no evil, who walk in his ways.
4 Thou hast commanded thy precepts to be kept diligently.	4 You lay down your precepts to be careful y kept.
5 O that my ways may be steadfast in keeping thy statutes!	5 May my ways be steady in doing your wil .
6 Then I shall not be put to shame, having my eyes fixed on all thy commandments.	6 Then I shal not be shamed, if my gaze is fixed on your commandments.
7 I will praise thee with an upright heart, when I learn thy righteous ordinances.	7 I thank you with a sincere heart for teaching me your upright judgements.
8 I will observe thy statutes; O forsake me not utterly!	8 I shal do your will; do not ever abandon me whol y.
9 How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to thy word.	9 How can a young man keep his way spotless? By keeping your words.
10 With my whole heart I seek thee; let me not wander from thy commandments!	10 With al my heart I seek you, do not let me stray from your commandments.
11 I have laid up thy word in my heart, that I might not sin against thee.	11 In my heart I treasure your promises, to avoid sinning against you.
12 Blessed be thou, O LORD; teach me thy statutes!	12 Blessed are you, Yahweh, teach me your wil !
13 With my lips I declare all the ordinances of thy mouth.	13 With my lips I have repeated al the judgements you have given.
14 In the way of thy testimonies I delight as much as in all riches.	14 In the way of your instructions lies my joy, a joy beyond al wealth.
15 I will meditate on thy precepts, and fix my eyes on thy ways.	15 I will ponder your precepts and fix my gaze on your paths.
16 I will delight in thy statutes; I will not forget thy word.	16 I find my delight in your wil , I do not forget your words.
17 Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live and observe thy word.	17 Be generous to your servant and I shal live, and shal keep your words.
18 Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.	18 Open my eyes and I shal fix my gaze on the wonders of your Law.
19 I am a sojourner on earth; hide not thy commandments from me!	19 Wayfarer though I am on the earth, do not hide your commandments from me.
20 My soul is consumed with longing for thy ordinances at all times.	20 My heart is pining away with longing at all times for your judgements.
21 Thou dost rebuke the insolent, accursed ones, who wander from thy commandments;	21 You have rebuked the arrogant, the accursed, who stray from your commandments.
22 take away from me their scorn and contempt, for I have kept thy testimonies.	22 Set me free from taunts and contempt since I observe your instructions.
23 Even though princes sit plotting against me, thy servant will meditate on thy statutes.	23 Though princes sit plotting against me, your servant keeps pondering your wil .
24 Thy testimonies are my delight, they are my counselors.	24 Your instructions are my delight, your wishes my counsellors.
25 My soul cleaves to the dust; revive me according to thy word!	25 Down in the dust I lie prostrate; true to your word, revive me.
26 When I told of my ways, thou didst answer me; teach me thy statutes!	26 I tell you my ways and you answer me; teach me your wishes.
27 Make me understand the way of thy precepts, and I will meditate on thy wondrous works.	27 Show me the way of your precepts, that I may reflect on your wonders.
28 My soul melts away for sorrow; strengthen me according to thy word!	28 I am melting away for grief; true to your word, raise me up.
29 Put false ways far from me; and graciously teach me thy law!	29 Keep me far from the way of deceit, grant me the grace of your Law.
30 I have chosen the way of faithfulness, I set thy ordinances before me.	30 I have chosen the way of constancy, I have moulded myself to your judgements.
31 I cleave to thy testimonies, O LORD; let me not be put to shame!	31 I cling to your instructions, Yahweh, do not disappoint me.
32 I will run in the way of thy commandments when thou enlargest my understanding!	32 I run the way of your commandments, for you have given me freedom of heart.
33 Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I will keep it to the end.	33 Teach me, Yahweh, the way of your will, and I wil observe it.
34 Give me understanding, that I may keep thy law and observe it with my whole heart.	34 Give me understanding and I will observe your Law, and keep it wholeheartedly.
35 Lead me in the path of thy commandments, for I delight in it.	35 Guide me in the way of your commandments, for my delight is there.
36 Incline my heart to thy testimonies, and not to gain!	36 Bend my heart to your instructions, not to selfish gain.
37 Turn my eyes from looking at vanities; and give me life in thy ways.	37 Avert my eyes from pointless images, by your word give me life.
38 Confirm to thy servant thy promise, which is for those who fear thee.	38 Keep your promise to your servant so that al may hold you in awe.
39 Turn away the reproach which I dread; for thy ordinances are good.	39 Avert the taunts that I dread, for your judgements are generous.
40 Behold, I long for thy precepts; in thy righteousness give me life!	40 See how I yearn for your precepts; in your saving justice give me life.
41 Let thy steadfast love come to me, O LORD, thy salvation according to thy promise;	41 Let your faithful love come to me, Yahweh, true to your promise, save me!
42 then shall I have an answer for those who taunt me, for I trust in thy word.	42 Give me an answer to the taunts against me, since I rely on your word.
43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth, for my hope is in thy ordinances.	43 Do not deprive me of that faithful word, since my hope lies in your judgements.
44 I will keep thy law continually, for ever and ever;	44 I shal keep your Law without fail for ever and ever.
45 and I shall walk at liberty, for I have sought thy precepts.	45 I shal live in all freedom because I have sought your precepts.
46 I will also speak of thy testimonies before kings, and shall not be put to shame;	46 I shal speak of your instructions before kings and wil not be shamed.
47 for I find my delight in thy commandments, which I love.	47 Your commandments fill me with delight, I love them dearly.
48 I revere thy commandments, which I love, and I will meditate on thy statutes.	48 I stretch out my hands to your commandments that I love, and I ponder your judgements.
49 Remember thy word to thy servant, in which thou hast made me hope.	49 Keep in mind your promise to your servant on which I have built my hope.
50 This is my comfort in my affliction that thy promise gives me life.	50 It is my comfort in distress, that your promise gives me life.
51 Godless men utterly deride me, but I do not turn away from thy law.	51 Endlessly the arrogant have jeered at me, but I have not swerved from your Law.
52 When I think of thy ordinances from of old, I take comfort, O LORD.	52 I have kept your age -- old judgements in mind, Yahweh, and I am comforted.
53 Hot indignation seizes me because of the wicked, who forsake thy law.	53 Fury grips me when I see the wicked who abandon your Law.
54 Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.	54 Your judgements are my song where I live in exile.
55 I remember thy name in the night, O LORD, and keep thy law.	55 Al night, Yahweh, I hold your name in mind, I keep your Law.
56 This blessing has fallen to me, that I have kept thy precepts.	56 This is what it means to me, observing your precepts.
57 The LORD is my portion; I promise to keep thy words.	57 My task, I have said, Yahweh, is to keep your word.
58 I entreat thy favor with all my heart; be gracious to me according to thy promise.	58 Wholeheartedly I entreat your favour; true to your promise, take pity on me!
59 When I think of thy ways, I turn my feet to thy testimonies;	59 I have reflected on my ways, and I turn my steps to your instructions.
60 I hasten and do not delay to keep thy commandments.	60 I hurry without delay to keep your commandments.
61 Though the cords of the wicked ensnare me, I do not forget thy law.	61 Though caught in the snares of the wicked, I do not forget your Law.
62 At midnight I rise to praise thee, because of thy righteous ordinances.	62 At midnight I rise to praise you for your upright judgements.
63 I am a companion of all who fear thee, of those who keep thy precepts.	63 I am a friend to all who fear you and keep your precepts.
64 The earth, O LORD, is full of thy steadfast love; teach me thy statutes!	64 Your faithful love fil s the earth, Yahweh, teach me your judgements.
65 Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O LORD, according to thy word.	65 You have been generous to your servant, Yahweh, true to your promise.
66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge, for I believe in thy commandments.	66 Teach me judgement and knowledge, for I rely on your commandments.
67 Before I was afflicted I went astray; but now I keep thy word.	67 Before I was punished I used to go astray, but now I keep to your promise.
68 Thou art good and doest good; teach me thy statutes.	68 You are generous and act generously, teach me your wil .
69 The godless besmear me with lies, but with my whole heart I keep thy precepts;	69 The arrogant blacken me with lies though I wholeheartedly observe your precepts.
70 their heart is gross like fat, but I delight in thy law.	70 Their hearts are gross like rich fat, but my delight is in your Law.
71 It is good for me that I was afflicted, that I might learn thy statutes.	71 It was good for me that I had to suffer, the better to learn your judgements.
72 The law of thy mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver pieces.	72 The Law you have uttered is more precious to me than al the wealth in the world.
73 Thy hands have made and fashioned me; give me understanding that I may learn thy commandments.	73 Your hands have made me and held me firm, give me understanding and I shal learn yourcommandments.
74 Those who fear thee shall see me and rejoice, because I have hoped in thy word.	74 Those who fear you rejoice at the sight of me since I put my hope in your word.
75 I know, O LORD, that thy judgments are right, and that in faithfulness thou hast afflicted me.	75 I know, Yahweh, that your judgements are upright, and in punishing me you show your constancy.
76 Let thy steadfast love be ready to comfort me according to thy promise to thy servant.	76 Your faithful love must be my consolation, as you have promised your servant.
77 Let thy mercy come to me, that I may live; for thy law is my delight.	77 Treat me with tenderness and I shall live, for your Law is my delight.
78 Let the godless be put to shame, because they have subverted me with guile; as for me, I will meditate on thy precepts.	78 Let the arrogant who tell lies against me be shamed, while I ponder your precepts.
79 Let those who fear thee turn to me, that they may know thy testimonies.	79 Let those who fear you rally to me, those who understand your instructions.
80 May my heart be blameless in thy statutes, that I may not be put to shame!	80 My heart shall be faultless towards your wil ; then I shall not be ashamed.
81 My soul languishes for thy salvation; I hope in thy word.	81 I shal wear myself out for your salvation, for your word is my hope.
82 My eyes fail with watching for thy promise; I ask, "When wilt thou comfort me?"	82 My eyes, too, are worn out waiting for your promise, when wil you have pity on me?
83 For I have become like a wineskin in the smoke, yet I have not forgotten thy statutes.	83 For I am like a smoked wineskin, but I do not forget your wil .
84 How long must thy servant endure? When wilt thou judge those who persecute me?	84 How long has your servant to live? When wil you bring my persecutors to judgement?
85 Godless men have dug pitfalls for me, men who do not conform to thy law.	85 The arrogant have dug pitfalls for me in defiance of your Law.
86 All thy commandments are sure; they persecute me with falsehood; help me!	86 Al your commandments show constancy. Help me when they pursue me dishonestly.
87 They have almost made an end of me on earth; but I have not forsaken thy precepts.	87 They have almost annihilated me on earth, but I have not deserted your precepts.
88 In thy steadfast love spare my life, that I may keep the testimonies of thy mouth.	88 True to your faithful love, give me life, and I shal keep the instructions you have laid down.
89 For ever, O LORD, thy word is firmly fixed in the heavens.	89 For ever, Yahweh, your word is planted firm in heaven.
90 Thy faithfulness endures to all generations; thou hast established the earth, and it stands fast.	90 Your constancy endures from age to age; you established the earth and it stands firm.
91 By thy appointment they stand this day; for all things are thy servants.	91 Through your judgements al stands firm to this day, for al creation is your servant.
92 If thy law had not been my delight, I should have perished in my affliction.	92 Had your Law not been my delight, I would have perished in my misery.
93 I will never forget thy precepts; for by them thou hast given me life.	93 I shal never forget your precepts, for by them you have given me life.
94 I am thine, save me; for I have sought thy precepts.	94 I am yours, save me, for I seek your precepts.
95 The wicked lie in wait to destroy me; but I consider thy testimonies.	95 The wicked may hope to destroy me, but al my thought is of your instructions.
96 I have seen a limit to all perfection, but thy commandment is exceedingly broad.	96 I have seen that al perfection is finite, but your commandment has no limit.
97 Oh, how I love thy law! It is my meditation all the day.	97 How I love your Law! I ponder it al day long.
98 Thy commandment makes me wiser than my enemies, for it is ever with me.	98 You make me wiser than my enemies by your commandment which is mine for ever.
99 I have more understanding than all my teachers, for thy testimonies are my meditation.	99 I am wiser than al my teachers because I ponder your instructions.
100 I understand more than the aged, for I keep thy precepts.	100 I have more understanding than the aged because I keep your precepts.
101 I hold back my feet from every evil way, in order to keep thy word.	101 I restrain my foot from evil paths to keep your word.
102 I do not turn aside from thy ordinances, for thou hast taught me.	102 I do not turn aside from your judgements, because you yourself have instructed me.
103 How sweet are thy words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!	103 How pleasant your promise to my palate, sweeter than honey in my mouth!
104 Through thy precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way.	104 From your precepts I learn wisdom, so I hate all deceptive ways.
105 Thy word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.	105 Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
106 I have sworn an oath and confirmed it, to observe thy righteous ordinances.	106 I have sworn -- and shal maintain it -- to keep your upright judgements.
107 I am sorely afflicted; give me life, O LORD, according to thy word!	107 I am utterly wretched, Yahweh; true to your promise, give me life.
108 Accept my offerings of praise, O LORD, and teach me thy ordinances.	108 Accept, Yahweh, the tribute from my mouth, and teach me your judgements.
109 I hold my life in my hand continually, but I do not forget thy law.	109 My life is in your hands perpetual y, I do not forget your Law.
110 The wicked have laid a snare for me, but I do not stray from thy precepts.	110 The wicked have laid out a snare for me, but I have not strayed from your precepts.
111 Thy testimonies are my heritage for ever; yea, they are the joy of my heart.	111 Your instructions are my eternal heritage, they are the joy of my heart.
112 I incline my heart to perform thy statutes for ever, to the end.	112 I devote myself to obeying your statutes, their recompense is eternal.
113 I hate double-minded men, but I love thy law.	113 I hate a divided heart, I love your Law.
114 Thou art my hiding place and my shield; I hope in thy word.	114 You are my refuge and shield, I put my hope in your word.
115 Depart from me, you evildoers, that I may keep the commandments of my God.	115 Leave me alone, you wicked, I shal observe the commandments of my God.
116 Uphold me according to thy promise, that I may live, and let me not be put to shame in my hope!	116 True to your word, support me and I shal live; do not disappoint me of my hope.
117 Hold me up, that I may be safe and have regard for thy statutes continually!	117 Uphold me and I shall be saved, my gaze fixed on your wil .
118 Thou dost spurn all who go astray from thy statutes; yea, their cunning is in vain.	118 You shake off al who stray from your wil ; deceit fills their horizon.
119 All the wicked of the earth thou dost count as dross; therefore I love thy testimonies.	119 In your sight al the wicked of the earth are like rust, so I love your instructions.
120 My flesh trembles for fear of thee, and I am afraid of thy judgments.	120 My whole body trembles before you, your judgements fill me with fear.
121 I have done what is just and right; do not leave me to my oppressors.	121 Al my conduct has been just and upright, do not hand me over to my oppressors.
122 Be surety for thy servant for good; let not the godless oppress me.	122 Guarantee the wel -being of your servant, do not let the proud oppress me.
123 My eyes fail with watching for thy salvation, and for the fulfilment of thy righteous promise.	123 My eyes are languishing for your salvation and for the saving justice you have promised.
124 Deal with thy servant according to thy steadfast love, and teach me thy statutes.	124 Show your faithful love to your servant, teach me your judgements.
125 I am thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies!	125 Your servant am I; give me understanding and I shal know your instructions.
126 It is time for the LORD to act, for thy law has been broken.	126 It is time to take action, Yahweh, your Law is being broken.
127 Therefore I love thy commandments above gold, above fine gold.	127 So I love your commandments more than gold, purest gold.
128 Therefore I direct my steps by all thy precepts; I hate every false way.	128 So I rule my life by your precepts, I hate al deceptive paths.
129 Thy testimonies are wonderful; therefore my soul keeps them.	129 Wonderful are your instructions, so I observe them.
130 The unfolding of thy words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple.	130 As your word unfolds it gives light, and even the simple understand.
131 With open mouth I pant, because I long for thy commandments.	131 I open wide my mouth, panting eagerly for your commandments.
132 Turn to me and be gracious to me, as is thy wont toward those who love thy name.	132 Turn to me, pity me; those who love your name deserve it.
133 Keep steady my steps according to thy promise, and let no iniquity get dominion over me.	133 Keep my steps firm in your promise; that no evil may triumph over me.
134 Redeem me from man's oppression, that I may keep thy precepts.	134 Rescue me from human oppression, and I wil observe your precepts.
135 Make thy face shine upon thy servant, and teach me thy statutes.	135 Let your face shine on your servant, teach me your wil .
136 My eyes shed streams of tears, because men do not keep thy law.	136 My eyes stream with tears because your Law is disregarded.
137 Righteous art thou, O LORD, and right are thy judgments.	137 You are upright, Yahweh, and your judgements are honest.
138 Thou hast appointed thy testimonies in righteousness and in all faithfulness.	138 You impose uprightness as a witness to yourself, it is constancy itself.
139 My zeal consumes me, because my foes forget thy words.	139 My zeal is burning me up because my oppressors forget your word.
140 Thy promise is well tried, and thy servant loves it.	140 Your promise is wel tested, your servant holds it dear.
141 I am small and despised, yet I do not forget thy precepts.	141 Puny and despised as I am, I do not forget your precepts.
142 Thy righteousness is righteous for ever, and thy law is true.	142 Your saving justice is for ever just, and your Law is trustworthy.
143 Trouble and anguish have come upon me, but thy commandments are my delight.	143 Though anguish and distress grip me your commandments are my delight.
144 Thy testimonies are righteous for ever; give me understanding that I may live.	144 Your instructions are upright for ever, give me understanding and I shal live.
145 With my whole heart I cry; answer me, O LORD! I will keep thy statutes.	145 I cal with al my heart; answer me, Yahweh, and I wil observe your judgements.
146 I cry to thee; save me, that I may observe thy testimonies.	146 I cal to you; save me, and I wil keep your instructions.
147 I rise before dawn and cry for help; I hope in thy words.	147 I am awake before dawn to cry for help, I put my hope in your word.
148 My eyes are awake before the watches of the night, that I may meditate upon thy promise.	148 My eyes are awake before each watch of the night, to ponder your promise.
149 Hear my voice in thy steadfast love; O LORD, in thy justice preserve my life.	149 In your faithful love, Yahweh, listen to my voice, let your judgements give me life.
150 They draw near who persecute me with evil purpose; they are far from thy law.	150 My pursuers are coming closer to their wicked designs, and further from your Law.
151 But thou art near, O LORD, and all thy commandments are true.	151 You are close to me, Yahweh, and all your commandments are true.
152 Long have I known from thy testimonies that thou hast founded them for ever.	152 Long have I known that your instructions were laid down to last for ever.
153 Look on my affliction and deliver me, for I do not forget thy law.	153 Look at my suffering and rescue me, for I do not forget your Law.
154 Plead my cause and redeem me; give me life according to thy promise!	154 Plead my cause and defend me; as you promised, give me life.
155 Salvation is far from the wicked, for they do not seek thy statutes.	155 Salvation is far from the wicked, for they do not seek your will.
156 Great is thy mercy, O LORD; give me life according to thy justice.	156 Your kindnesses to me are countless, Yahweh; true to your judgements, give me life.
157 Many are my persecutors and my adversaries, but I do not swerve from thy testimonies.	157 Though my enemies and oppressors are countless, I do not turn aside from your instructions.
158 I look at the faithless with disgust, because they do not keep thy commands.	158 The sight of these renegades appals me; they do not observe your promise.
159 Consider how I love thy precepts! Preserve my life according to thy steadfast love.	159 See how I love your precepts; true to your faithful love, give me life.
160 The sum of thy word is truth; and every one of thy righteous ordinances endures for ever.	160 Faithfulness is the essence of your word, your upright judgements hold good for ever.
161 Princes persecute me without cause, but my heart stands in awe of thy words.	161 Though princes hound me unprovoked, what fil s me with awe is your word.
162 I rejoice at thy word like one who finds great spoil.	162 I rejoice in your promise like one who finds a vast treasure.
163 I hate and abhor falsehood, but I love thy law.	163 Falsehood I hate and detest, my love is for your Law.
164 Seven times a day I praise thee for thy righteous ordinances.	164 Seven times a day I praise you for your upright judgements.
165 Great peace have those who love thy law; nothing can make them stumble.	165 Great peace for those who love your Law; no stumbling-blocks for them!
166 I hope for thy salvation, O LORD, and I do thy commandments.	166 I am waiting for your salvation, Yahweh, I fulfil your commandments.
167 My soul keeps thy testimonies; I love them exceedingly.	167 I observe your instructions, I love them dearly.
168 I keep thy precepts and testimonies, for all my ways are before thee.	168 I observe your precepts, your judgements, for al my ways are before you.
169 Let my cry come before thee, O LORD; give me understanding according to thy word!	169 May my cry approach your presence, Yahweh; by your word give me understanding.
170 Let my supplication come before thee; deliver me according to thy word.	170 May my prayer come into your presence, rescue me as you have promised.
171 My lips will pour forth praise that thou dost teach me thy statutes.	171 May my lips proclaim your praise, for you teach me your will.
172 My tongue will sing of thy word, for all thy commandments are right.	172 May my tongue recite your promise, for al your commandments are upright.
173 Let thy hand be ready to help me, for I have chosen thy precepts.	173 May your hand be there to help me, since I have chosen your precepts.
174 I long for thy salvation, O LORD, and thy law is my delight.	174 I long for your salvation, Yahweh, your Law is my delight.
175 Let me live, that I may praise thee, and let thy ordinances help me.	175 May I live only to praise you, may your judgements be my help.
176 I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant, for I do not forget thy commandments.	176 I am wandering like a lost sheep, come and look for your servant, for I have not forgotten yourcommandments.
