1 Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the LORD!	1 (Alef) Wohl denen, deren Weg ohne Tadel ist, die leben nach der Weisung des Herrn.
2 Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart,	2 Wohl denen, die seine Vorschriften befolgen und ihn suchen von ganzem Herzen,
3 who also do no wrong, but walk in his ways!	3 die kein Unrecht tun und auf seinen Wegen gehn.
4 Thou hast commanded thy precepts to be kept diligently.	4 Du hast deine Befehle gegeben, damit man sie genau beachtet.
5 O that my ways may be steadfast in keeping thy statutes!	5 Wären doch meine Schritte fest darauf gerichtet, deinen Gesetzen zu folgen!
6 Then I shall not be put to shame, having my eyes fixed on all thy commandments.	6 Dann werde ich niemals scheitern, wenn ich auf all deine Gebote schaue.
7 I will praise thee with an upright heart, when I learn thy righteous ordinances.	7 Mit lauterem Herzen will ich dir danken, wenn ich deine gerechten Urteile lerne.
8 I will observe thy statutes; O forsake me not utterly!	8 Deinen Gesetzen will ich immer folgen. Lass mich doch niemals im Stich!
9 How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to thy word.	9 Wie geht ein junger Mann seinen Pfad ohne Tadel? Wenn er sich hält an dein Wort.
10 With my whole heart I seek thee; let me not wander from thy commandments!	10 Ich suche dich von ganzem Herzen. Lass mich nicht abirren von deinen Geboten!
11 I have laid up thy word in my heart, that I might not sin against thee.	11 Ich berge deinen Spruch im Herzen, damit ich gegen dich nicht sündige.
12 Blessed be thou, O LORD; teach me thy statutes!	12 Gepriesen seist du, Herr. Lehre mich deine Gesetze!
13 With my lips I declare all the ordinances of thy mouth.	13 Mit meinen Lippen verkünde ich alle Urteile deines Mundes.
14 In the way of thy testimonies I delight as much as in all riches.	14 Nach deinen Vorschriften zu leben freut mich mehr als großer Besitz.
15 I will meditate on thy precepts, and fix my eyes on thy ways.	15 Ich will nachsinnen über deine Befehle und auf deine Pfade schauen.
16 I will delight in thy statutes; I will not forget thy word.	16 Ich habe meine Freude an deinen Gesetzen, dein Wort will ich nicht vergessen.Wohl denen, deren Weg ohne Tadel ist, die leben nach der Weisung des Herrn.
17 Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live and observe thy word.	17 (Gimel) Tu deinem Knecht Gutes, erhalt mich am Leben! Dann will ich dein Wort befolgen.
18 Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.	18 Öffne mir die Augen für das Wunderbare an deiner Weisung!
19 I am a sojourner on earth; hide not thy commandments from me!	19 Ich bin nur Gast auf Erden. Verbirg mir nicht deine Gebote!
20 My soul is consumed with longing for thy ordinances at all times.	20 In Sehnsucht nach deinem Urteil verzehrt sich allezeit meine Seele.
21 Thou dost rebuke the insolent, accursed ones, who wander from thy commandments;	21 Du drohst den Stolzen. Verflucht sei, wer abirrt von deinen Geboten.
22 take away from me their scorn and contempt, for I have kept thy testimonies.	22 Nimm von mir Schmach und Verachtung! Denn was du vorschreibst, befolge ich.
23 Even though princes sit plotting against me, thy servant will meditate on thy statutes.	23 Wenn auch Fürsten gegen mich beraten: dein Knecht sinnt nach über deine Gesetze.
24 Thy testimonies are my delight, they are my counselors.	24 Deine Vorschriften machen mich froh; sie sind meine Berater.
25 My soul cleaves to the dust; revive me according to thy word!	25 (Dalet) Meine Seele klebt am Boden. Durch dein Wort belebe mich!
26 When I told of my ways, thou didst answer me; teach me thy statutes!	26 Ich habe dir mein Geschick erzählt und du erhörtest mich. Lehre mich deine Gesetze!
27 Make me understand the way of thy precepts, and I will meditate on thy wondrous works.	27 Lass mich den Weg begreifen, den deine Befehle mir zeigen, dann will ich nachsinnen über deine Wunder.
28 My soul melts away for sorrow; strengthen me according to thy word!	28 Meine Seele zerfließt vor Kummer. Richte mich auf durch dein Wort!
29 Put false ways far from me; and graciously teach me thy law!	29 Halte mich fern vom Weg der Lüge; begnade mich mit deiner Weisung!
30 I have chosen the way of faithfulness, I set thy ordinances before me.	30 Ich wählte den Weg der Wahrheit; nach deinen Urteilen hab ich Verlangen.
31 I cleave to thy testimonies, O LORD; let me not be put to shame!	31 Ich halte an deinen Vorschriften fest. Herr, lass mich niemals scheitern!
32 I will run in the way of thy commandments when thou enlargest my understanding!	32 Ich eile voran auf dem Weg deiner Gebote, denn mein Herz machst du weit.
33 Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I will keep it to the end.	33 (He) Herr, weise mir den Weg deiner Gesetze! Ich will ihn einhalten bis ans Ende.
34 Give me understanding, that I may keep thy law and observe it with my whole heart.	34 Gib mir Einsicht, damit ich deiner Weisung folge und mich an sie halte aus ganzem Herzen.
35 Lead me in the path of thy commandments, for I delight in it.	35 Führe mich auf dem Pfad deiner Gebote! Ich habe an ihm Gefallen.
36 Incline my heart to thy testimonies, and not to gain!	36 Deinen Vorschriften neige mein Herz zu, doch nicht der Habgier!
37 Turn my eyes from looking at vanities; and give me life in thy ways.	37 Wende meine Augen ab von eitlen Dingen; durch dein Wort belebe mich!
38 Confirm to thy servant thy promise, which is for those who fear thee.	38 Erfülle deinem Knecht die Verheißung, die allen gilt, die dich fürchten und ehren.
39 Turn away the reproach which I dread; for thy ordinances are good.	39 Wende die Schande ab, vor der mir graut; denn deine Entscheide sind gut.
40 Behold, I long for thy precepts; in thy righteousness give me life!	40 Nach deinen Befehlen hab ich Verlangen. Gib mir neue Kraft durch deine Gerechtigkeit!
41 Let thy steadfast love come to me, O LORD, thy salvation according to thy promise;	41 (Waw) Herr, deine Huld komme auf mich herab und deine Hilfe, wie du es verheißen hast.
42 then shall I have an answer for those who taunt me, for I trust in thy word.	42 Dann kann ich dem, der mich schmäht, erwidern; denn ich vertraue auf dein Wort.
43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth, for my hope is in thy ordinances.	43 Entziehe meinem Mund nicht das Wort der Wahrheit! Ich hoffe so sehr auf deine Entscheide.
44 I will keep thy law continually, for ever and ever;	44 Ich will deiner Weisung beständig folgen, auf immer und ewig.
45 and I shall walk at liberty, for I have sought thy precepts.	45 Dann schreite ich aus auf freier Bahn; denn ich frage nach deinen Befehlen.
46 I will also speak of thy testimonies before kings, and shall not be put to shame;	46 Deine Gebote will ich vor Königen bezeugen und mich nicht vor ihnen schämen.
47 for I find my delight in thy commandments, which I love.	47 An deinen Geboten habe ich meine Freude, ich liebe sie von Herzen.
48 I revere thy commandments, which I love, and I will meditate on thy statutes.	48 Ich erhebe meine Hände zu deinen Geboten; nachsinnen will ich über deine Gesetze.
49 Remember thy word to thy servant, in which thou hast made me hope.	49 (Sajin) Denk an das Wort für deinen Knecht, durch das du mir Hoffnung gabst.
50 This is my comfort in my affliction that thy promise gives me life.	50 Das ist mein Trost im Elend: Deine Verheißung spendet mir Leben.
51 Godless men utterly deride me, but I do not turn away from thy law.	51 Frech verhöhnen mich die Stolzen; ich aber weiche nicht ab von deiner Weisung.
52 When I think of thy ordinances from of old, I take comfort, O LORD.	52 Denke ich an deine Urteile seit alter Zeit, Herr, dann bin ich getröstet.
53 Hot indignation seizes me because of the wicked, who forsake thy law.	53 Zorn packt mich wegen der Frevler, weil sie deine Weisung missachten.
54 Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.	54 Zum Lobgesang wurden mir deine Gesetze im Haus meiner Pilgerschaft.
55 I remember thy name in the night, O LORD, and keep thy law.	55 In der Nacht denke ich, Herr, an deinen Namen; ich will deine Weisung beachten.
56 This blessing has fallen to me, that I have kept thy precepts.	56 Deine Befehle zu befolgen ist das Glück, das mir zufiel.
57 The LORD is my portion; I promise to keep thy words.	57 (Chet) Mein Anteil ist der Herr; ich habe versprochen, dein Wort zu beachten.
58 I entreat thy favor with all my heart; be gracious to me according to thy promise.	58 Ich suche deine Gunst von ganzem Herzen. Sei mir gnädig nach deiner Verheißung!
59 When I think of thy ways, I turn my feet to thy testimonies;	59 Ich überdenke meine Wege, zu deinen Vorschriften lenke ich meine Schritte.
60 I hasten and do not delay to keep thy commandments.	60 Ich eile und säume nicht, deine Gebote zu halten.
61 Though the cords of the wicked ensnare me, I do not forget thy law.	61 Auch wenn mich die Stricke der Frevler fesseln, vergesse ich deine Weisung nicht.
62 At midnight I rise to praise thee, because of thy righteous ordinances.	62 Um Mitternacht stehe ich auf, um dich zu preisen wegen deiner gerechten Entscheide.
63 I am a companion of all who fear thee, of those who keep thy precepts.	63 Ich bin ein Freund all derer, die dich fürchten und ehren, und aller, die deine Befehle befolgen.
64 The earth, O LORD, is full of thy steadfast love; teach me thy statutes!	64 Von deiner Güte, Herr, ist die Erde erfüllt. Lehre mich deine Gesetze!

66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge, for I believe in thy commandments.	66 Lehre mich Erkenntnis und rechtes Urteil! Ich vertraue auf deine Gebote.
67 Before I was afflicted I went astray; but now I keep thy word.	67 Ehe ich gedemütigt wurde, ging mein Weg in die Irre; nun aber halte ich mich an deine Verheißung.
68 Thou art good and doest good; teach me thy statutes.	68 Du bist gut und wirkst Gutes. Lehre mich deine Gesetze!
69 The godless besmear me with lies, but with my whole heart I keep thy precepts;	69 Stolze verbreiten über mich Lügen, ich aber halte mich von ganzem Herzen an deine Befehle.
70 their heart is gross like fat, but I delight in thy law.	70 Abgestumpft und satt ist ihr Herz, ich aber ergötze mich an deiner Weisung.
71 It is good for me that I was afflicted, that I might learn thy statutes.	71 Dass ich gedemütigt wurde, war für mich gut; denn so lernte ich deine Gesetze.
72 The law of thy mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver pieces.	72 Die Weisung deines Mundes ist mir lieb, mehr als große Mengen von Gold und Silber.
73 Thy hands have made and fashioned me; give me understanding that I may learn thy commandments.	73 (Jod) Deine Hände haben mich gemacht und geformt. Gib mir Einsicht, damit ich deine Gebote lerne.
74 Those who fear thee shall see me and rejoice, because I have hoped in thy word.	74 Wer dich fürchtet, wird mich sehen und sich freuen; denn ich warte auf dein Wort.
75 I know, O LORD, that thy judgments are right, and that in faithfulness thou hast afflicted me.	75 Herr, ich weiß, dass deine Entscheide gerecht sind; du hast mich gebeugt, weil du treu für mich sorgst.
76 Let thy steadfast love be ready to comfort me according to thy promise to thy servant.	76 Tröste mich in deiner Huld, wie du es deinem Knecht verheißen hast.
77 Let thy mercy come to me, that I may live; for thy law is my delight.	77 Dein Erbarmen komme über mich, damit ich lebe; denn deine Weisung macht mich froh.
78 Let the godless be put to shame, because they have subverted me with guile; as for me, I will meditate on thy precepts.	78 Schande über die Stolzen, die mich zu Unrecht bedrücken! Ich aber sinne nach über deine Befehle.
79 Let those who fear thee turn to me, that they may know thy testimonies.	79 Mir sollen sich alle zuwenden, die dich fürchten und ehren und die deine Vorschriften kennen.
80 May my heart be blameless in thy statutes, that I may not be put to shame!	80 Mein Herz richte sich ganz nach deinen Gesetzen; dann werde ich nicht zuschanden.
81 My soul languishes for thy salvation; I hope in thy word.	81 (Kaf) Nach deiner Hilfe sehnt sich meine Seele; ich warte auf dein Wort.
82 My eyes fail with watching for thy promise; I ask, "When wilt thou comfort me?"	82 Meine Augen sehnen sich nach deiner Verheißung, sie fragen: Wann wirst du mich trösten?
83 For I have become like a wineskin in the smoke, yet I have not forgotten thy statutes.	83 Ich bin wie ein Schlauch voller Risse, doch deine Gesetze habe ich nicht vergessen.
84 How long must thy servant endure? When wilt thou judge those who persecute me?	84 Wie viele Tage noch bleiben deinem Knecht? Wann wirst du meine Verfolger richten?
85 Godless men have dug pitfalls for me, men who do not conform to thy law.	85 Stolze stellen mir Fallen, sie handeln nicht nach deiner Weisung.
86 All thy commandments are sure; they persecute me with falsehood; help me!	86 Zuverlässig sind all deine Gebote. Zu Unrecht verfolgt man mich. Komm mir zu Hilfe!
87 They have almost made an end of me on earth; but I have not forsaken thy precepts.	87 Fast hätte man mich von der Erde ausgetilgt; dennoch halte ich fest an deinen Befehlen.
88 In thy steadfast love spare my life, that I may keep the testimonies of thy mouth.	88 In deiner großen Huld lass mich leben und ich will beachten, was dein Mund mir gebietet.
89 For ever, O LORD, thy word is firmly fixed in the heavens.	89 (Lamed) Herr, dein Wort bleibt auf ewig, es steht fest wie der Himmel.
90 Thy faithfulness endures to all generations; thou hast established the earth, and it stands fast.	90 Deine Treue währt von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht; du hast die Erde gegründet, sie bleibt bestehen.
91 By thy appointment they stand this day; for all things are thy servants.	91 Nach deiner Ordnung bestehen sie bis heute und dir ist alles dienstbar.
92 If thy law had not been my delight, I should have perished in my affliction.	92 Wäre nicht dein Gesetz meine Freude, ich wäre zugrunde gegangen in meinem Elend.
93 I will never forget thy precepts; for by them thou hast given me life.	93 Nie will ich deine Befehle vergessen; denn durch sie schenkst du mir Leben.
94 I am thine, save me; for I have sought thy precepts.	94 Ich bin dein, errette mich! Ich frage nach deinen Befehlen.
95 The wicked lie in wait to destroy me; but I consider thy testimonies.	95 Frevler lauern mir auf, um mich zu vernichten; doch mein Sinn achtet auf das, was du gebietest.
96 I have seen a limit to all perfection, but thy commandment is exceedingly broad.	96 Ich sah, dass alles Vollkommene Grenzen hat; doch dein Gebot kennt keine Schranken.
97 Oh, how I love thy law! It is my meditation all the day.	97 (Mem) Wie lieb ist mir deine Weisung; ich sinne über sie nach den ganzen Tag.
98 Thy commandment makes me wiser than my enemies, for it is ever with me.	98 Dein Gebot macht mich weiser als all meine Feinde; denn immer ist es mir nahe.
99 I have more understanding than all my teachers, for thy testimonies are my meditation.	99 Ich wurde klüger als all meine Lehrer; denn über deine Vorschriften sinne ich nach.
100 I understand more than the aged, for I keep thy precepts.	100 Mehr Einsicht habe ich als die Alten; denn ich beachte deine Befehle.
101 I hold back my feet from every evil way, in order to keep thy word.	101 Von jedem bösen Weg halte ich meinen Fuß zurück; denn ich will dein Wort befolgen.
102 I do not turn aside from thy ordinances, for thou hast taught me.	102 Ich weiche nicht ab von deinen Entscheiden, du hast mich ja selbst unterwiesen.
103 How sweet are thy words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!	103 Wie köstlich ist für meinen Gaumen deine Verheißung, süßer als Honig für meinen Mund.
104 Through thy precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way.	104 Aus deinen Befehlen gewinne ich Einsicht, darum hasse ich alle Pfade der Lüge.
105 Thy word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.	105 (Nun) Dein Wort ist meinem Fuß eine Leuchte, ein Licht für meine Pfade.
106 I have sworn an oath and confirmed it, to observe thy righteous ordinances.	106 Ich tat einen Schwur und ich will ihn halten: Ich will deinen gerechten Entscheidungen folgen.
107 I am sorely afflicted; give me life, O LORD, according to thy word!	107 Herr, ganz tief bin ich gebeugt. Durch dein Wort belebe mich!
108 Accept my offerings of praise, O LORD, and teach me thy ordinances.	108 Herr, nimm mein Lobopfer gnädig an und lehre mich deine Entscheide!
109 I hold my life in my hand continually, but I do not forget thy law.	109 Mein Leben ist ständig in Gefahr, doch ich vergesse nie deine Weisung.
110 The wicked have laid a snare for me, but I do not stray from thy precepts.	110 Frevler legen mir Schlingen, aber ich irre nicht ab von deinen Befehlen.
111 Thy testimonies are my heritage for ever; yea, they are the joy of my heart.	111 Deine Vorschriften sind auf ewig mein Erbteil; denn sie sind die Freude meines Herzens.
112 I incline my heart to perform thy statutes for ever, to the end.	112 Mein Herz ist bereit, dein Gesetz zu erfüllen bis ans Ende und ewig.
113 I hate double-minded men, but I love thy law.	113 (Samech) Zwiespältige Menschen sind mir von Grund auf verhasst, doch dein Gesetz ist mir lieb.
114 Thou art my hiding place and my shield; I hope in thy word.	114 Du bist mein Schutz und mein Schild, ich warte auf dein Wort.
115 Depart from me, you evildoers, that I may keep the commandments of my God.	115 Weicht zurück von mir, ihr Bösen! Ich will die Gebote meines Gottes befolgen.
116 Uphold me according to thy promise, that I may live, and let me not be put to shame in my hope!	116 Stütze mich, damit ich lebe, wie du es verheißen hast. Lass mich in meiner Hoffnung nicht scheitern!
117 Hold me up, that I may be safe and have regard for thy statutes continually!	117 Gib mir Halt, dann finde ich Rettung; immer will ich auf deine Gesetze schauen.
118 Thou dost spurn all who go astray from thy statutes; yea, their cunning is in vain.	118 Alle, die sich von deinen Gesetzen entfernen, verwirfst du; denn ihr Sinnen und Trachten ist Lüge.
119 All the wicked of the earth thou dost count as dross; therefore I love thy testimonies.	119 Alle Frevler im Land sind für dich wie Schlacken, darum liebe ich, was du gebietest.
120 My flesh trembles for fear of thee, and I am afraid of thy judgments.	120 Aus Ehrfurcht vor dir erschauert mein Leib, vor deinen Urteilen empfinde ich heilige Scheu.
121 I have done what is just and right; do not leave me to my oppressors.	121 (Ajin) Ich tue, was recht und gerecht ist. Gib mich meinen Bedrückern nicht preis!
122 Be surety for thy servant for good; let not the godless oppress me.	122 Verbürg dich für das Wohl deines Knechtes, damit die Stolzen mich nicht unterdrücken.
123 My eyes fail with watching for thy salvation, and for the fulfilment of thy righteous promise.	123 Meine Augen sehnen sich nach deiner Hilfe, nach deiner gerechten Verheißung.
124 Deal with thy servant according to thy steadfast love, and teach me thy statutes.	124 Handle an deinem Knecht nach deiner Huld und lehre mich deine Gesetze!
125 I am thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies!	125 Ich bin dein Knecht. Gib mir Einsicht, damit ich verstehe, was du gebietest.
126 It is time for the LORD to act, for thy law has been broken.	126 Herr, es ist Zeit zu handeln; man hat dein Gesetz gebrochen.
127 Therefore I love thy commandments above gold, above fine gold.	127 Darum liebe ich deine Gebote mehr als Rotgold und Weißgold.
128 Therefore I direct my steps by all thy precepts; I hate every false way.	128 Darum lebe ich genau nach deinen Befehlen; ich hasse alle Pfade der Lüge.
129 Thy testimonies are wonderful; therefore my soul keeps them.	129 (Pe) Deine Vorschriften sind der Bewunderung wert; darum bewahrt sie mein Herz.
130 The unfolding of thy words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple.	130 Die Erklärung deiner Worte bringt Erleuchtung, den Unerfahrenen schenkt sie Einsicht.
131 With open mouth I pant, because I long for thy commandments.	131 Weit öffne ich meinen Mund und lechze nach deinen Geboten; denn nach ihnen hab ich Verlangen.
132 Turn to me and be gracious to me, as is thy wont toward those who love thy name.	132 Wende dich mir zu, sei mir gnädig, wie es denen gebührt, die deinen Namen lieben.
133 Keep steady my steps according to thy promise, and let no iniquity get dominion over me.	133 Festige meine Schritte, wie du es verheißen hast. Lass kein Unrecht über mich herrschen!
134 Redeem me from man's oppression, that I may keep thy precepts.	134 Erlöse mich aus der Gewalt der Menschen; dann will ich deine Befehle halten.
135 Make thy face shine upon thy servant, and teach me thy statutes.	135 Lass dein Angesicht leuchten über deinem Knecht und lehre mich deine Gesetze!
136 My eyes shed streams of tears, because men do not keep thy law.	136 Tränenbäche strömen aus meinen Augen, weil man dein Gesetz nicht befolgt.
137 Righteous art thou, O LORD, and right are thy judgments.	137 (Zade) Herr, du bist gerecht und deine Entscheide sind richtig.
138 Thou hast appointed thy testimonies in righteousness and in all faithfulness.	138 Du hast deine Vorschriften erlassen in Gerechtigkeit und in großer Treue.
139 My zeal consumes me, because my foes forget thy words.	139 Der Eifer für dich verzehrt mich; denn meine Gegner vergessen deine Worte.
140 Thy promise is well tried, and thy servant loves it.	140 Deine Worte sind rein und lauter; dein Knecht hat sie lieb.
141 I am small and despised, yet I do not forget thy precepts.	141 Ich bin gering und verachtet, doch ich vergesse nie deine Befehle.
142 Thy righteousness is righteous for ever, and thy law is true.	142 Deine Gerechtigkeit bleibt ewig Gerechtigkeit, deine Weisung ist Wahrheit.
143 Trouble and anguish have come upon me, but thy commandments are my delight.	143 Mich trafen Not und Bedrängnis, doch deine Gebote machen mich froh.
144 Thy testimonies are righteous for ever; give me understanding that I may live.	144 Deine Vorschriften sind auf ewig gerecht. Gib mir Einsicht, damit ich lebe.

148 My eyes are awake before the watches of the night, that I may meditate upon thy promise.	148 Meine Augen eilen den Nachtwachen voraus; denn ich sinne nach über deine Verheißung.
149 Hear my voice in thy steadfast love; O LORD, in thy justice preserve my life.	149 Höre auf meine Stimme in deiner Huld; belebe mich, Herr, durch deine Entscheide!
