1 But Baldad the Suhite responded by saying:	1 E BILDAD Suhita rispose, e disse:
2 How long will you throw around words? Understand first, and then let us speak.	2 Fino a quando non metterete fine a’ ragionamenti? Intendete prima, e poi parleremo insieme.
3 Why have we been treated like mules, as if we were unworthy before you?	3 Perchè siamo noi riputati per bestie? E perchè ci avete voi a schifo?
4 You, who ruins your own soul in your fury, will the earth be forsaken because of you, and will the cliffs be moved from their place?	4 O tu, che laceri l’anima tua nel tuo cruccio, Sarà la terra abbandonata per cagion tua, E saranno le roccie trasportate dal luogo loro?
5 Will not the light of the impious be put out, and the flame of his fire refuse to shine?	5 Sì, la luce degli empi sarà spenta, E niuna favilla del fuoco loro rilucerà.
6 Light will become darkness in his tabernacle, and the lamp that is over him will be extinguished.	6 La luce sarà oscurata nel lor tabernacolo. E la lor lampana sarà spenta intorno a loro.
7 His strong steps will be constrained, and his own counsel will cast him down uncontrollably.	7 I lor fieri passi saran ristretti, E il lor proprio consiglio li traboccherà abbasso;
8 For he has caused his own feet to go into a net, and he has walked into its web.	8 Perciocchè essi si gitteranno nel laccio co’ piedi loro, E cammineranno sopra la rete.
9 His heel will be held in a snare, and thirst will rage against him.	9 Il laccio prenderà loro il calcagno, Il ladrone farà loro forza e violenza.
10 A trap has been hidden for him in the earth, and a decoy, along his path.	10 La fune sarà loro nascosta in terra, E la trappola in sul sentiero
11 Horrifying things will terrify him everywhere and will entangle his feet.	11 Spaventi li conturberanno d’ogn’intorno, E li faranno fuggire in rotta.
12 Let his strength be diminished by famine, and let starvation invade his ribs.	12 La lor forza sarà affamata, E la calamità sarà loro apparecchiata allato.
13 Let it devour the beauty of his skin; let the ancient death consume his arms.	13 Il primogenito della morte divorerà le membra della lor pelle; Divorerà le membra loro.
14 Let his confidence be torn away from his tabernacle, and let ruin trample over him like a king.	14 La lor confidanza sarà divelta dal lor tabernacolo; E ciò li farà camminare al re degli spaventi.
15 Let the companions of he who is not, dwell in his tabernacle; let brimstone rain down upon his tabernacle.	15 Abiteranno ne’ lor tabernacoli che non saranno più loro; Ei si spargerà del solfo in su le loro stanze.
16 Let his roots be dried up from beneath him, and his harvest be crushed from above.	16 Disotto le lor radici si seccheranno, E disopra i lor rami saranno tagliati.
17 Let the memory of him perish from the earth, and let not his name be celebrated in the streets.	17 La lor memoria perirà d’in su la terra, E non avranno nome alcuno sopra le piazze.
18 He will expel him from light into darkness, and he will remove him from the world.	18 Saranno spinti dalla luce nelle tenebre, E saranno cacciati fuor del mondo.
19 Neither his offspring, nor his descendents, will exist among his people, nor will there be any remnants in his country.	19 Non avranno figliuoli, nè nipoti fra il lor popolo, Nè alcuno che sopravviva loro nelle loro abitazioni.
20 The last will be astonished at his day, and the first will be overcome with horror.	20 La posterità stupirà del lor giorno, Come gli antenati ne avranno avuto orrore.
21 And so, these are the tabernacles of the sinful, and this the place of he who does not know God.	21 Certo tali saranno gli abitacoli de’ perversi, E tal sarà il luogo di coloro che non conoscono Iddio
