NEW JERUSALEM	EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL
1 Saul let his son Jonathan and al his servants know of his intention to kil David. But Jonathan, Saul'sson, held David in great affection;	1 Saul redete vor seinem Sohn Jonatan und vor allen seinen Dienern davon, dass er David töten wolle. Sauls Sohn Jonatan aber hatte David sehr gern;
2 and Jonathan warned David, 'My father Saul is looking for a way to kil you, so be on your guardtomorrow morning; go into hiding, stay out of sight.	2 deshalb berichtete er David davon und sagte: Mein Vater Saul will dich töten. Nimm dich also morgen früh in Acht, verbirg dich in einem Versteck!
3 I shal go out and keep my father company in the countryside where you wil be, and shal talk to myfather about you; I shal see what the situation is and then tel you.'	3 Ich aber will zusammen mit meinem Vater auf das Feld hinausgehen; dort, wo du dich versteckt hältst, werde ich stehen bleiben und mit meinem Vater über dich reden, und wenn ich etwas erfahre, werde ich dir Bescheid geben.
4 Jonathan spoke highly of David to Saul his father and said, 'The king should not harm his servantDavid; far from harming you, what he has done has been greatly to your advantage.	4 Jonatan redete also zugunsten Davids mit seinem Vater und sagte zu ihm: Der König möge sich doch nicht an seinem Knecht David versündigen; denn er hat sich ja auch nicht an dir versündigt und seine Taten sind für dich sehr nützlich gewesen.
5 He took his life in his hands, he killed the Philistine, and Yahweh brought about a great victory for al Israel. You saw for yourself. How pleased you were! Why then sin against innocent blood by kil ing David for noreason?'	5 Er hat sein Leben aufs Spiel gesetzt und den Philister erschlagen. Der Herr hat (durch ihn) ganz Israel viel Hilfe gebracht. Du hast es selbst gesehen und dich darüber gefreut. Warum willst du dich nun versündigen und unschuldiges Blut vergießen, indem du David ohne jeden Grund tötest?
6 Saul was impressed by Jonathan's words. Saul swore, 'As Yahweh lives, I wil not kill him.'	6 Saul hörte auf Jonatan und schwor: So wahr der Herr lebt: David soll nicht umgebracht werden.
7 Jonathan called David and told him al this. Jonathan then brought him to Saul, and David remained inattendance as before.	7 Jonatan rief David und berichtete ihm alles. Dann führte Jonatan David zu Saul und David war wieder in Sauls Dienst wie vorher.
8 War broke out again and David sallied out to fight the Philistines; he inflicted a great defeat on themand they fled before him.	8 Der Krieg ging weiter und David zog wieder gegen die Philister in den Kampf. Er brachte ihnen eine schwere Niederlage bei und sie ergriffen die Flucht.
9 An evil spirit from Yahweh came over Saul while he was sitting in his house with his spear in his hand;David was playing the harp.	9 Doch wieder kam vom Herrn ein böser Geist über Saul, während er in seinem Haus saß und den Speer in der Hand hielt und David auf der Zither spielte.
10 Saul tried to pin David to the wal with his spear, but he avoided Saul's thrust and the spear stuck inthe wal . David fled and made good his escape. That same night	10 Da versuchte Saul, David mit dem Speer an die Wand zu spießen; aber er wich Saul aus, sodass der Speer in die Wand fuhr. David floh und brachte sich in Sicherheit. Noch in derselben Nacht
11 Saul sent agents to watch David's house, intending to kil him in the morning. But Michal, David'swife, warned him, 'If you do not escape tonight, you wil be a dead man tomorrow!'	11 schickte Saul Boten zum Haus Davids, die ihm auflauern und ihn am nächsten Morgen töten sollten. Doch Michal, Davids Frau, warnte ihn und sagte: Wenn du dich nicht noch in dieser Nacht in Sicherheit bringst, wirst du morgen früh umgebracht.
12 Michal then let David down through the window, and he made off, took to flight and so escaped.	12 Michal ließ David durch das Fenster hinab, sodass er fliehen und sich in Sicherheit bringen konnte.
13 Michal then took a domestic image, laid it on the bed, put a tress of goats' hair at the head of the bedand put a cover over it.	13 Dann nahm Michal das Götterbild, legte es in Davids Bett, umgab seinen Kopf mit einem Geflecht von Ziegenhaaren und deckte es mit einem Kleidungsstück zu.
14 When Saul sent the agents to arrest David, she said, 'He is il .'	14 Als nun Saul die Boten schickte, die David holen sollten, sagte sie: Er ist krank.
15 Saul sent the agents back to see David, with the words, 'Bring him to me on his bed, for me to kilhim!'	15 Saul schickte die Boten (zurück), um nach David zu sehen, und befahl: Bringt ihn im Bett zu mir her; er soll umgebracht werden.
16 So in the agents went, and there in bed was the image, with the tress of goats' hair on its head!	16 Als die Boten kamen, entdeckten sie im Bett ein Götterbild mit einem Geflecht von Ziegenhaaren um den Kopf.
17 Saul then said to Michal, 'Why have you deceived me like this and let my enemy go, and so make hisescape?' Michal replied to Saul, 'He said, "Let me go, or I shal kill you!" '	17 Da sagte Saul zu Michal: Warum hast du mich so betrogen und meinen Feind entkommen lassen, sodass er sich in Sicherheit bringen konnte? Michal antwortete Saul: Er hat zu mir gesagt: Lass mich weggehen, sonst bringe ich dich um.
18 David, having fled and made his escape, went to Samuel at Ramah and told him exactly how Saulhad treated him; he and Samuel went and lived in the huts.	18 David floh also und brachte sich in Sicherheit. Er kam zu Samuel nach Rama und erzählte ihm alles, was Saul ihm angetan hatte. Dann ging er zusammen mit Samuel ins Prophetenhaus und beide blieben dort.
19 Word was brought to Saul, 'David is in the huts at Ramah.'	19 Als man nun Saul berichtete: David ist in Rama, und zwar im Prophetenhaus!,
20 Saul accordingly sent agents to capture David; when they saw the community of prophetsprophesying, and Samuel there as their leader, the spirit of God came over Saul's agents, and they too fel intofrenzy.	20 da schickte Saul Boten, um David holen zu lassen. Sobald sie die Schar der Propheten mit Samuel an ihrer Spitze in prophetischer Verzückung sahen, kam der Geist Gottes auch über die Boten Sauls und auch sie gerieten in Verzückung.
21 When Saul was told of this, he sent other agents, and they too fel into frenzy; Saul then sent a thirdgroup of agents, and they fel into frenzy too.	21 Als man Saul das meldete, schickte er andere Boten; aber auch sie gerieten in Verzückung. Da schickte er zum dritten Mal Boten; doch auch sie gerieten in Verzückung.
22 He then went to Ramah himself and, arriving at the large storage-wel at Seku, asked, 'Where areSamuel and David?' And someone said, 'Why, they are in the huts at Ramah!'	22 Darauf ging er selbst nach Rama. Als er zu der großen Zisterne in Sechu kam, fragte er: Wo sind Samuel und David? Man antwortete ihm: Sie sind gerade im Prophetenhaus in Rama.
23 Making his way from there to the huts at Ramah, the spirit of God came over him too, and he wentalong in a frenzy until he arrived at the huts at Ramah.	23 Als er von dort zum Prophetenhaus in Rama weiterging, kam auch über ihn der Geist Gottes, und er ging in prophetischer Verzückung weiter, bis er zum Prophetenhaus in Rama kam.
24 He too stripped off his clothes and he too fell into a frenzy in Samuel's presence, then col apsednaked on the ground for the rest of that day and al night. Hence the saying: Is Saul one of the prophets too?	24 Er zog sogar seine Kleider aus und blieb auch in Samuels Gegenwart in Verzückung. Den ganzen Tag und die ganze Nacht über lag er nackt da. Deshalb sagt man: Ist denn auch Saul unter den Propheten?
