Revelation 7

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Next I saw four angels, standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of theworld to keep them from blowing over the land or the sea or any tree.	1 Dopo ciò vidi quattro angeli che stavano ritti sui quattro angoli della terra a trattenere i quattro venti della terra, affinché non soffiasse vento sulla terra né sul mare né su albero alcuno.
2 Then I saw another angel rising where the sun rises, carrying the seal of the living God; he cal ed in apowerful voice to the four angels whose duty was to devastate land and sea,	2 Poi vidi un altro angelo salire dall'oriente, con il sigillo del Dio vivente. Questi gridò a gran voce ai quattro angeli incaricati di recar danno alla terra e al mare:
3 'Wait before you do any damage on land or at sea or to the trees, until we have put the seal on theforeheads of the servants of our God.'	3 "Non recate danno alla terra né al mare né agli alberi, finché non abbiamo segnato sulla fronte i servi del nostro Dio".
4 And I heard how many had been sealed: a hundred and forty-four thousand, out of al the tribes ofIsrael.	4 Quindi udii il numero dei segnati: centoquarantaquattromila furono segnati da ogni tribù dei figli d'Israele:
5 From the tribe of Judah, twelve thousand had been sealed; from the tribe of Reuben, twelve thousand;from the tribe of Gad, twelve thousand;	5 Dalla tribù di Giuda, dodicimila segnati, dalla tribù di Ruben, dodicimila, dalla tribù di Gad, dodicimila,
6 from the tribe of Asher, twelve thousand; from the tribe of Naphtali, twelve thousand; from the tribe ofManasseh, twelve thousand;	6 dalla tribù di Aser, dodicimila, dalla tribù di Neftali, dodicimila, dalla tribù di Manasse, dodicimila,
7 from the tribe of Simeon, twelve thousand; from the tribe of Levi, twelve thousand; from the tribe ofIssachar, twelve thousand;	7 dalla tribù di Simeone, dodicimila, dalla tribù di Levi, dodicimila, dalla tribù di Issacar, dodicimila,
8 from the tribe of Zebulun, twelve thousand; and from the tribe of Benjamin, twelve thousand had beensealed.	8 dalla tribù di Zabulon, dodicimila, dalla tribù di Giuseppe, dodicimila, dalla tribù di Beniamino, dodicimila.
9 After that I saw that there was a huge number, impossible for anyone to count, of people from everynation, race, tribe and language; they were standing in front of the throne and in front of the Lamb, dressed inwhite robes and holding palms in their hands. They shouted in a loud voice,	9 Dopo ciò apparve una gran folla, che nessuno poteva contare, di ogni nazione, tribù, popolo e lingua; stava ritta davanti al trono e davanti all'Agnello; indossavano vesti bianche e avevano palme nelle loro mani.
10 'Salvation to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!'	10 Tutti gridavano a gran voce: "La salvezza appartiene al nostro Dio che siede sul trono e all'Agnello!".
11 And al the angels who were standing in a circle round the throne, surrounding the elders and the fourliving creatures, prostrated themselves before the throne, and touched the ground with their foreheads,worshipping God	11 E tutti gli angeli che circondavano il trono con i Seniori e i quattro Viventi si prostrarono davanti al trono per adorare Dio dicendo:
12 with these words: Amen. Praise and glory and wisdom, thanksgiving and honour and power andstrength to our God for ever and ever. Amen.	12 "Amen! Lode e gloria, sapienza e grazie, onore, potenza e forza al nostro Dio, per i secoli dei secoli. Amen!".
13 One of the elders then spoke and asked me, 'Who are these people, dressed in white robes, andwhere have they come from?'	13 Quindi uno dei Seniori prese la parola e mi disse: "Costoro che sono avvolti in vesti candide, sai tu chi sono e da dove sono venuti?".
14 I answered him, 'You can tel me, sir.' Then he said, 'These are the people who have been through thegreat trial; they have washed their robes white again in the blood of the Lamb.	14 Io gli risposi: "Signore mio, tu lo sai". Ed egli a me: "Essi sono quelli che vengono dalla grande tribolazione: hanno lavato le loro vesti rendendole candide nel sangue dell'Agnello.
15 That is why they are standing in front of God's throne and serving him day and night in his sanctuary;and the One who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them.	15 Per questo si trovano davanti al trono di Dio e lo servono notte e giorno nel suo tempio. Colui che siede sul trono distenderà la sua tenda sopra di loro:
16 They will never hunger or thirst again; sun and scorching wind wil never plague them,	16 non avranno più né fame né sete; non li colpirà più il sole né calore alcuno,
17 because the Lamb who is at the heart of the throne wil be their shepherd and wil guide them tosprings of living water; and God wil wipe away al tears from their eyes.'	17 poiché l'Agnello che sta in mezzo al trono, li pascerà e condurrà alle sorgenti d'acqua viva; e Dio tergerà ogni lacrima dai loro occhi".
