Revelation 7

1 Next I saw four angels, standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of theworld to keep them from blowing over the land or the sea or any tree.	1 - Dopo questo vidi quattro angeli, ritti ai quattro angoli della terra, che trattenevano i quattro vènti della terra, perchè non soffiassero sulla terra nè sul mare nè su albero alcuno.
2 Then I saw another angel rising where the sun rises, carrying the seal of the living God; he cal ed in apowerful voice to the four angels whose duty was to devastate land and sea,	2 E vidi un altro angelo che veniva su da levante, che aveva il sigillo del Dio vivente; e gridò a gran voce; a' quattro angeli, cui era stato dato di danneggiar la terra e il mare,
3 'Wait before you do any damage on land or at sea or to the trees, until we have put the seal on theforeheads of the servants of our God.'	3 dicendo: «Non danneggiate la terra nè il mare nè le piante, fino a che non abbiamo marcato sulle loro fronti col sigillo i servi del nostro Dio».
4 And I heard how many had been sealed: a hundred and forty-four thousand, out of al the tribes ofIsrael.	4 E udii il numero dei marcati, centoquarantaquattromila marcati da tutte le tribù de' figliuoli d'Israele:
5 From the tribe of Judah, twelve thousand had been sealed; from the tribe of Reuben, twelve thousand;from the tribe of Gad, twelve thousand;	5 dalla tribù di Giuda dodicimila marcati, dalla tribù di Ruben dodicimila marcati, dalla tribù di Gad dodicimila marcati,
6 from the tribe of Asher, twelve thousand; from the tribe of Naphtali, twelve thousand; from the tribe ofManasseh, twelve thousand;	6 dalla tribù di Aser dodicimila marcati, dalla tribù di Neftalim dodicimila marcati e dalla tribù di Manasse dodicimila marcati,
7 from the tribe of Simeon, twelve thousand; from the tribe of Levi, twelve thousand; from the tribe ofIssachar, twelve thousand;	7 dalla tribù di Simeone dodicimila marcati, dalla tribù di Levi dodicimila marcati, dalla tribù di Issacar dodicimila marcati,
8 from the tribe of Zebulun, twelve thousand; and from the tribe of Benjamin, twelve thousand had beensealed.	8 dalla tribù di Zabulon dodicimila marcati, dalla tribù di Giuseppe dodicimila marcati, dalla tribù di Beniamino dodicimila marcati.
9 After that I saw that there was a huge number, impossible for anyone to count, of people from everynation, race, tribe and language; they were standing in front of the throne and in front of the Lamb, dressed inwhite robes and holding palms in their hands. They shouted in a loud voice,	9 Dopo questo, [ecco] vidi una gran folla, che nessuno poteva contarla, di tutte le genti e tribù e popoli e lingue, che stavan di faccia al trono e di faccia all'agnello, rivestiti di bianche vesti, e [con] palme nelle loro mani.
10 'Salvation to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!'	10 E gridavano a gran voce dicendo: «La salvezza [è dovuta] al nostro Dio, ch'è seduto sul trono, e all'agnello!».
11 And al the angels who were standing in a circle round the throne, surrounding the elders and the fourliving creatures, prostrated themselves before the throne, and touched the ground with their foreheads,worshipping God	11 E tutti gli angeli stavan ritti all'intorno del trono e de' vecchi e de' quattro animali, e caddero bocconi davanti al trono e adoravano Dio,
12 with these words: Amen. Praise and glory and wisdom, thanksgiving and honour and power andstrength to our God for ever and ever. Amen.	12 dicendo: «Amen! La benedizione e la gloria e la sapienza e il ringraziamento e l'onore e la potenza e la forza al nostro Dio per i secoli de' secoli. Amen!».
13 One of the elders then spoke and asked me, 'Who are these people, dressed in white robes, andwhere have they come from?'	13 E prese la parola uno de' vecchi, dicendomi: «Questi che indossan le bianche vesti, chi sono e donde son venuti?».
14 I answered him, 'You can tel me, sir.' Then he said, 'These are the people who have been through thegreat trial; they have washed their robes white again in the blood of the Lamb.	14 E io gli dissi: «Tu, signor mio, lo sai». E lui mi disse: «Questi son quelli che vengono dalla gran tribolazione, e han lavato le loro vesti e le hanno imbiancate nel sangue dell'agnello.
15 That is why they are standing in front of God's throne and serving him day and night in his sanctuary;and the One who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them.	15 Perciò son davanti al trono di Dio e lo servono giorno e notte nel suo tempio, e colui che siede sul suo trono stenderà sovr'essi la sua tenda.
16 They will never hunger or thirst again; sun and scorching wind wil never plague them,	16 Non avran più fame nè sete, nè li colpirà il sole nè ardore alcuno;
17 because the Lamb who is at the heart of the throne wil be their shepherd and wil guide them tosprings of living water; and God wil wipe away al tears from their eyes.'	17 perchè l'agnello ch'è in mezzo al trono sarà il loro pastore e li guiderà alle fonti delle acque di vita, e Dio asciugherà ogni lagrima dai loro occhi».
