Revelation 16

NEW JERUSALEM	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 Then I heard a loud voice from the sanctuary cal ing to the seven angels, 'Go, and empty the sevenbowls of God's anger over the earth.'	1 Ouvi, então, uma voz forte saindo do templo, que dizia aos sete Anjos: Ide, e derramai sobre a terra as sete taças da ira de Deus.
2 The first angel went and emptied his bowl over the earth; at once, on al the people who had beenbranded with the mark of the beast and had worshipped its statue, there came disgusting and virulent sores.	2 O primeiro, portanto, pôs-se a derramar a sua taça sobre a terra. Formou-se uma úlcera atroz e maligna nos homens que tinham o sinal da Fera e que se prostravam diante de sua imagem.
3 The second angel emptied his bowl over the sea, and it turned to blood, like the blood of a corpse, andevery living creature in the sea died.	3 O segundo derramou a sua taça sobre o mar. Este tornou-se sangue, como o de um morto, e pereceu todo ser que estava no mar.
4 The third angel emptied his bowl into the rivers and springs of water and they turned into blood.	4 O terceiro derramou a sua taça sobre os rios e as fontes das águas, e transformaram-se em sangue.
5 Then I heard the angel of water say, 'You are the Upright One, He who is, He who was, the Holy One,for giving this verdict:	5 Ouvi, então, o anjo das águas dizer: Tu és justo, tu que és e que eras o Santo, que assim julgas.
6 they spilt the blood of the saints and the prophets, and blood is what you have given them to drink; it iswhat they deserve.'	6 Porque eles derramaram o sangue dos santos e dos profetas, tu lhes deste também sangue para beber. Eles o merecem.
7 And I heard the altar itself say, 'Truly, Lord God Almighty, the punishments you give are true and just.'	7 Ouvi o altar dizer: Sim, Senhor Deus Dominador, são verdadeiros e justos os teus julgamentos.
8 The fourth angel emptied his bowl over the sun and it was made to scorch people with its flames;	8 O quarto derramou a sua taça sobre o sol, e foi-lhe dado queimar os homens com o fogo.
9 but though people were scorched by the fierce heat of it, they cursed the name of God who had thepower to cause such plagues, and they would not repent and glorify him.	9 E os homens foram queimados por grande calor, e amaldiçoaram o nome de Deus, que pode desencadear esses flagelos; e não quiseram arrepender-se e dar-lhe glória.
10 The fifth angel emptied his bowl over the throne of the beast and its whole empire was plunged intodarkness. People were biting their tongues for pain,	10 O quinto derramou a sua taça sobre o trono da Fera. Seu reino se escureceu e seus súditos mordiam a língua de dor.
11 but instead of repenting for what they had done, they cursed the God of heaven because of theirpains and sores.	11 Amaldiçoaram o Deus do céu por causa de seus sofrimentos e das suas feridas, sem se arrependerem dos seus atos.
12 The sixth angel emptied his bowl over the great river Euphrates; al the water dried up so that a waywas made for the kings of the East to come in.	12 O sexto derramou a sua taça sobre o grande rio Eufrates, e secaram-se as suas águas para que se abrisse caminho aos reis do oriente.
13 Then from the jaws of dragon and beast and false prophet I saw three foul spirits come; they lookedlike frogs	13 Vi {sair} da boca do Dragão, da boca da Fera e da boca do falso profeta três espíritos imundos semelhantes a rãs;
14 and in fact were demon spirits, able to work miracles, going out to al the kings of the world to callthem together for the war of the Great Day of God the Almighty.-	14 são os espíritos de demônios que realizam prodígios, e vão ter com os reis de toda a terra, a fim de reuni-los para a batalha do Grande Dia do Deus Dominador.
15 Look, I shall come like a thief. Blessed is anyone who has kept watch, and has kept his clothes on,so that he does not go out naked and expose his shame.-	15 {Eis que venho como um ladrão! Feliz aquele que vigia e guarda as suas vestes para que não ande nu, ostentando a sua vergonha!}
16 They cal ed the kings together at the place cal ed, in Hebrew, Armageddon.	16 Eles os reuniram num lugar chamado em hebraico Har-Magedon.
17 The seventh angel emptied his bowl into the air, and a great voice boomed out from the sanctuary,'The end has come.'	17 O sétimo derramou a sua taça pelos ares e saiu do templo uma grande voz do trono, que dizia: Está pronto!
18 Then there were flashes of lightning and peals of thunder and a violent earthquake, unparalleledsince humanity first came into existence.	18 Houve, então, relâmpagos, vozes e trovões, assim como um terremoto tão grande como jamais houve desde que há homens na terra.
19 The Great City was split into three parts and the cities of the world col apsed; Babylon the Great wasnot forgotten: God made her drink the ful winecup of his retribution.	19 A grande cidade foi dividida em três partes, e as cidades das nações caíram, e Deus lembrou-se da grande Babilônia, para lhe dar de beber o cálice do vinho de sua ira ardente.
20 Every island vanished and the mountains disappeared;	20 Todas as ilhas fugiram, e montanha alguma foi encontrada.
21 and hail, with great hailstones weighing a talent each, fel from the sky on the people. They cursedGod for sending a plague of hail; it was the most terrible plague.	21 Grandes pedras de gelo, que podiam pesar um talento, caíram do céu sobre os homens. Os homens amaldiçoaram a Deus por causa do flagelo da saraiva, pois este foi terrível.
