Revelation 16

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Then I heard a loud voice from the sanctuary cal ing to the seven angels, 'Go, and empty the sevenbowls of God's anger over the earth.'	1 Y oí una voz potente que provenía del Templo y ordenaba a los siete Angeles: «Vayan y derramen sobre la tierra las siete copas de la ira de Dios».
2 The first angel went and emptied his bowl over the earth; at once, on al the people who had beenbranded with the mark of the beast and had worshipped its statue, there came disgusting and virulent sores.	2 El primer Angel fue y derramó su copa sobre la tierra, provocando una llaga maligna y dolorosa en todos los hombres que llevaban la marca de la Bestia y adoraban su imagen.
3 The second angel emptied his bowl over the sea, and it turned to blood, like the blood of a corpse, andevery living creature in the sea died.	3 El segundo derramó su copa sobre el mar: éste se convirtió en sangre, como si se hubiera cometido un crimen, y perecieron todos los seres vivientes que había en el mar.
4 The third angel emptied his bowl into the rivers and springs of water and they turned into blood.	4 El tercero derramó su copa sobre los ríos y sobre los manantiales, y estos se convirtieron en sangre.
5 Then I heard the angel of water say, 'You are the Upright One, He who is, He who was, the Holy One,for giving this verdict:	5 Y oí al Angel de las aguas que decía: «Tú, el que es y el que era, el Santo, obras con justicia al castigarlos así:
6 they spilt the blood of the saints and the prophets, and blood is what you have given them to drink; it iswhat they deserve.'	6 se merecían que les dieras de beber la misma sangre de los santos y de los profetas que ellos han derramado».
7 And I heard the altar itself say, 'Truly, Lord God Almighty, the punishments you give are true and just.'	7 Y escuché al altar, que decía: «Sí, Señor, Dios todopoderoso, tus juicios son verdaderos y justos».
8 The fourth angel emptied his bowl over the sun and it was made to scorch people with its flames;	8 El cuarto Angel derramó su copa sobre el sol y se le permitió quemar a los hombres con fuego:
9 but though people were scorched by the fierce heat of it, they cursed the name of God who had thepower to cause such plagues, and they would not repent and glorify him.	9 los hombres fueron abrasados por un calor ardiente, pero en lugar de arrepentirse y dar gloria a Dios, blasfemaron contra su Nombre, que tiene poder sobre estas plagas.
10 The fifth angel emptied his bowl over the throne of the beast and its whole empire was plunged intodarkness. People were biting their tongues for pain,	10 El quinto derramó su copa sobre el trono de la Bestia, y su reino quedó sumergido en tinieblas. Los hombres se mordían la lengua de dolor,
11 but instead of repenting for what they had done, they cursed the God of heaven because of theirpains and sores.	11 pero en lugar de arrepentirse de sus obras, blasfemaron contra el Dios del cielo, a causa de sus dolores y de sus llagas.
12 The sixth angel emptied his bowl over the great river Euphrates; al the water dried up so that a waywas made for the kings of the East to come in.	12 El sexto derramó su copa sobre el gran río Eufrates, y sus aguas se secaron, dejando paso libre a los reyes de Oriente.
13 Then from the jaws of dragon and beast and false prophet I saw three foul spirits come; they lookedlike frogs	13 Después vi que salían de la boca del Dragón, de la Bestia y del falso profeta tres espíritus impuros, semejantes a ranas.
14 and in fact were demon spirits, able to work miracles, going out to al the kings of the world to callthem together for the war of the Great Day of God the Almighty.-	14 Son los espíritus demoníacos que realizan prodigios y van a buscar a los reyes del mundo entero, con el fin de convocarlos para el combate del gran Día de Dios, el Todopoderoso.
15 Look, I shall come like a thief. Blessed is anyone who has kept watch, and has kept his clothes on,so that he does not go out naked and expose his shame.-	15 ¡Cuidado! ¡Vengo como un ladrón! Feliz el que vigila y conserva su ropa para no tener que andar desnudo, mostrando su vergüenza.
16 They cal ed the kings together at the place cal ed, in Hebrew, Armageddon.	16 Y esos espíritus reunirán a los reyes en un lugar, que en hebreo se llama Armagedón.
17 The seventh angel emptied his bowl into the air, and a great voice boomed out from the sanctuary,'The end has come.'	17 El séptimo Angel derramó su copa en el aire, y desde el Templo resonó una voz potente que venía del trono y decía: «Ya está».
18 Then there were flashes of lightning and peals of thunder and a violent earthquake, unparalleledsince humanity first came into existence.	18 Y hubo relámpagos, voces, truenos y un violento terremoto como nunca había sucedido desde que los hombres viven sobre la tierra.
19 The Great City was split into three parts and the cities of the world col apsed; Babylon the Great wasnot forgotten: God made her drink the ful winecup of his retribution.	19 La gran Ciudad se partió en tres y las ciudades paganas se derrumbaron. Dios se acordó de la gran Babilonia y le dio de beber la copa donde fermenta el vino de su ira.
20 Every island vanished and the mountains disappeared;	20 Todas las islas desaparecieron y no se vieron más las montañas.
21 and hail, with great hailstones weighing a talent each, fel from the sky on the people. They cursedGod for sending a plague of hail; it was the most terrible plague.	21 Cayeron del cielo sobre los hombres piedras de granizo que pesaban unos cuarenta kilos, y ellos blasfemaron contra Dios por esa terrible plaga.
