¹ A revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him so that he could tel his servants what is now to takeplace very soon; he sent his angel to make it known to his servant John,	¹ Revelación de Jesucristo, que Dios le encargó mostrar a sus siervos acerca de lo que tiene que suceder pronto. La dio a conocer enviando su ángel a su siervo Juan,
² and John has borne witness to the Word of God and to the witness of Jesus Christ, everything that hesaw.	² el cual fue testigo de la palabra de Dios y del testimonio de Jesucristo de todo cuanto vio.
³ Blessed is anyone who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed those who hear them, if theytreasure the content, because the Time is near.	³ Bienaventurado el que lee, y los que escuchan las palabras de esta profecía, y guardan lo que en ella está escrito, porque el tiempo está cerca.
⁴ John, to the seven churches of Asia: grace and peace to you from him who is, who was, and who is tocome, from the seven spirits who are before his throne,	⁴ Juan a las siete iglesias de Asia: Gracia y paz a vosotros \| de parte del que es, el que era y ha de venir; \| de parte de los siete Espíritus que están ante su Trono;
⁵ and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the First-born from the dead, the highest of earthly kings. Heloves us and has washed away our sins with his blood,	⁵ y de parte de Jesucristo, \| el testigo fiel, \| el primogénito de entre los muertos, \| el príncipe de los reyes de la tierra. \| Al que nos ama, \| y nos ha librado de nuestros pecados con su sangre,
⁶ and made us a Kingdom of Priests to serve his God and Father; to him, then, be glory and power forever and ever. Amen.	⁶ y nos ha hecho reino y sacerdotes para Dios, su Padre. \| A él, la gloria y el poder por los siglos de los siglos. Amén.
⁷ Look, he is coming on the clouds; everyone wil see him, even those who pierced him, and all the racesof the earth wil mourn over him. Indeed this shall be so. Amen.	⁷ Mirad: viene entre las nubes. ⁸ 'I am the Alpha and the Omega,' says the Lord God, who is, who was, and who is to come, theAlmighty.	⁸ Dice el Señor Dios: «Yo soy el Alfa y la Omega, el que es, el que era y ha de venir, el todopoderoso».
⁹ I, John, your brother and partner in hardships, in the kingdom and in perseverance in Jesus, was on theisland of Patmos on account of the Word of God and of witness to Jesus;	⁹ Yo, Juan, vuestro hermano y compañero en la tribulación, en el reino y en la perseverancia en Jesús, estaba desterrado en la isla llamada Patmos a causa de la palabra de Dios y del testimonio de Jesús.
¹⁰ it was the Lord's Day and I was in ecstasy, and I heard a loud voice behind me, like the sound of atrumpet, saying,	¹⁰ El día del Señor fui arrebatado en espíritu y escuché detrás de mí una voz potente como de trompeta
¹¹ 'Write down in a book al that you see, and send it to the seven churches of Ephesus, Smyrna,Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea.'	¹¹ que decía: «Lo que estás viendo, escríbelo en un libro y envíalo a las siete iglesias, a Éfeso, a Esmirna, a Pérgamo, a Tiatira, a Sardes, a Filadelfia y a Laodicea».
¹² I turned round to see who was speaking to me, and when I turned I saw seven golden lamp-stands	¹² Me volví para ver la voz que hablaba conmigo, y, vuelto, vi siete candelabros de oro,
¹³ and, in the middle of them, one like a Son of man, dressed in a long robe tied at the waist with a belt ofgold.	¹³ y en medio de los candelabros como un Hijo de hombre, vestido de una túnica talar, y ceñido el pecho con un cinturón de oro.
¹⁴ His head and his hair were white with the whiteness of wool, like snow, his eyes like a burning flame,	¹⁴ Su cabeza y sus cabellos eran blancos como la lana blanca, como la nieve, y sus ojos como llama de fuego.
¹⁵ his feet like burnished bronze when it has been refined in a furnace, and his voice like the sound of theocean.	¹⁵ Sus pies eran semejantes al bronce bruñido incandescente en el crisol; y su voz como rumor de muchas aguas.
¹⁶ In his right hand he was holding seven stars, out of his mouth came a sharp sword, double-edged, andhis face was like the sun shining with all its force.	¹⁶ Tenía en su mano derecha siete estrellas; y de su boca salía una espada aguda de doble filo; su rostro era como el sol cuando brilla en su apogeo.
¹⁷ When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead, but he laid his right hand on me and said, 'Do not beafraid; it is I, the First and the Last; I am the Living One,	¹⁷ Cuando lo vi, caí a sus pies como muerto. Pero él puso su mano derecha sobre mí, diciéndome: «No temas; yo soy el Primero y el Último,
¹⁸ I was dead and look -- I am alive for ever and ever, and I hold the keys of death and of Hades.	¹⁸ el Viviente; estuve muerto, pero ya ves: vivo por los siglos de los siglos, y tengo las llaves de la muerte y del abismo.
¹⁹ Now write down al that you see of present happenings and what is stil to come.	¹⁹ Escribe, pues, lo que estás viendo: lo que es y lo que ha de suceder después de esto.
²⁰ The secret of the seven stars you have seen in my right hand, and of the seven golden lamp-stands, isthis: the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lamp-stands are the seven churchesthemselves.'	²⁰ En cuanto al misterio de las siete estrellas que has visto en mi derecha, y los siete candelabros de oro, las siete estrellas son los ángeles de las siete iglesias; y los siete candelabros que has visto son las siete iglesias».
