Ephesians 1

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Paul, by the will of God an apostle of Christ Jesus, to God's holy people, faithful in Christ Jesus.	1 Pablo, Apóstol de Jesucristo por la voluntad de Dios, saluda a los santos que creen en Cristo Jesús.
2 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.	2 Llegue a ustedes la gracia y la paz de parte de Dios, nuestro Padre, y del Señor Jesucristo.
3 Blessed be God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all the spiritual blessingsof heaven in Christ.	3 Bendito sea Dios, el Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que nos ha bendecido en Cristo con toda clase de bienes espirituales en el cielo,
4 Thus he chose us in Christ before the world was made to be holy and faultless before him in love,	4 y nos ha elegido en él, antes de la creación del mundo, para que fuéramos santos e irreprochables en su presencia, por el amor.
5 marking us out for himself beforehand, to be adopted sons, through Jesus Christ. Such was hispurpose and good pleasure,	5 El nos predestinó a ser sus hijos adoptivos por medio de Jesucristo, conforme al beneplácito de su voluntad,
6 to the praise of the glory of his grace, his free gift to us in the Beloved,	6 para alabanza de la gloria de su gracia, que nos dio en su Hijo muy querido.
7 in whom, through his blood, we gain our freedom, the forgiveness of our sins. Such is the richness ofthe grace	7 En él hemos sido redimidos por su sangre y hemos recibido el perdón de los pecados, según la riqueza de su gracia,
8 which he has showered on us in al wisdom and insight.	8 que Dios derramó sobre nosotros, dándonos toda sabiduría y entendimiento.
9 He has let us know the mystery of his purpose, according to his good pleasure which he determinedbeforehand in Christ,	9 El nos hizo conocer el misterio de su voluntad, conforme al designio misericordioso que estableció de antemano en Cristo,
10 for him to act upon when the times had run their course: that he would bring everything together underChrist, as head, everything in the heavens and everything on earth.	10 para que se cumpliera en la plenitud de los tiempos: reunir todas las cosas, las del cielo y las de la tierra, bajo un solo jefe, que es Cristo.
11 And it is in him that we have received our heritage, marked out beforehand as we were, under the planof the One who guides al things as he decides by his own wil ,	11 En él hemos sido constituidos herederos, y destinados de antemano –según el previo designio del que realiza todas las cosas conforme a su voluntad–
12 chosen to be, for the praise of his glory, the people who would put their hopes in Christ before hecame.	12 a ser aquellos que han puesto su esperanza en Cristo, para alabanza de su gloria.
13 Now you too, in him, have heard the message of the truth and the gospel of your salvation, and havingput your trust in it you have been stamped with the seal of the Holy Spirit of the Promise,	13 En él, ustedes, los que escucharon la Palabra de la verdad, la Buena Noticia de la salvación, y creyeron en ella, también han sido marcados con un sello por el Espíritu Santo prometido.
14 who is the pledge of our inheritance, for the freedom of the people whom God has taken for his own,for the praise of his glory.	14 Ese Espíritu es el anticipo de nuestra herencia y prepara la redención del pueblo que Dios adquirió para sí, para alabanza de su gloria.
15 That is why I, having once heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus, and your love for al God's holypeople,	15 Por eso, habiéndome enterado de la fe que ustedes tienen en el Señor Jesús y del amor que demuestran por todos los hermanos,
16 have never failed to thank God for you and to remember you in my prayers.	16 doy gracias sin cesar por ustedes recordándoles siempre en mis oraciones
17 May the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give you a spirit of wisdom and perceptionof what is revealed, to bring you to ful knowledge of him.	17 Que el Dios de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, el Padre de la gloria, les conceda un espíritu de sabiduría y de revelación que les permita conocerlo verdaderamente.
18 May he enlighten the eyes of your mind so that you can see what hope his cal holds for you, how richis the glory of the heritage he offers among his holy people,	18 Que él ilumine sus corazones, para que ustedes puedan valorar la esperanza a la que han sido llamados, los tesoros de gloria que encierra su herencia entre los santos,
19 and how extraordinarily great is the power that he has exercised for us believers; this accords with thestrength of his power	19 y la extraordinaria grandeza del poder con que él obra en nosotros, los creyentes, por la eficacia de su fuerza. Este es el mismo poder
20 at work in Christ, the power which he exercised in raising him from the dead and enthroning him at hisright hand, in heaven,	20 que Dios manifestó en Cristo, cuando lo resucitó de entre los muertos y lo hizo sentar a su derecha en el cielo,
21 far above every principality, ruling force, power or sovereignty, or any other name that can be named,not only in this age but also in the age to come.	21 elevándolo por encima de todo Principado, Potestad, Poder y Dominación, y de cualquier otra dignidad que pueda mencionarse tanto en este mundo como en el futuro.
22 He has put al things under his feet, and made him, as he is above all things, the head of the Church;	22 El puso todas las cosas bajo sus pies y lo constituyó, por encima de todo, Cabeza de la Iglesia,
23 which is his Body, the ful ness of him who is fil ed, al in al .	23 que es su Cuerpo y la Plenitud de aquel que llena completamente todas las cosas.
