Galatians 1

1 From Paul, an apostle appointed not by human beings nor through any human being but by JesusChrist and God the Father who raised him from the dead,	1 Paolo (eletto Apostolo non dagli uomini, nè per mezzo di uomo, ma da Gesù Cristo e da Dio Padre che lo risuscitò da morte)
2 and al the brothers who are with me, to the churches of Galatia.	2 e tutti i fratelli che son meco, alle Chiese di Galazia.
3 Grace and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ	3 Grazia a voi e pace da Dio Padre e dal Signore nostro Gesù Cristo,
4 who gave himself for our sins to liberate us from this present wicked world, in accordance with the wil ofour God and Father,	4 che ha dato se stesso per i nostri peccati, per strapparci al presente secolo maligno, secondo la volontà di Dio e Padre nostro,
5 to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.	5 a cui è gloria nei secoli dei secoli. Così sia.
6 I am astonished that you are so promptly turning away from the one who cal ed you in the grace ofChrist and are going over to a different gospel-	6 Mi maraviglio che così presto lasciate colui che vi ha chiamati alla grazia di Cristo, per passare ad un altro Vangelo.
7 not that it is another gospel; except that there are trouble-makers among you who are seeking to pervertthe gospel of Christ.	7 Non che ce ne sia un altro, ma vi sono alcuni che vi conturbano, volendo mettere sottosopra il Vangelo di Cristo.
8 But even if we ourselves or an angel from heaven preaches to you a gospel other than the one wepreached to you, let God's curse be on him.	8 Ma quand'anche noi o un Angelo del cielo vi annunziasse un Vangelo diverso da quello che vi abbiamo annunziato, sia anatema.
9 I repeat again what we declared before: anyone who preaches to you a gospel other than the one youwere first given is to be under God's curse.	9 Ve l'abbiamo già detto, ed ora ve lo ripetiamo: se alcuno vi annunzierà un Vangelo diverso da quello che avete ricevuto, sia anatema.
10 Whom am I trying to convince now, human beings or God? Am I trying to please human beings? If Iwere stil doing that I should not be a servant of Christ.	10 Or che, posso cercare nelle presenti condizioni, il favore degli uomini o quello di Dio? Forse di piacere agli uomini? Ma se piacessi ancora agli uomini, non sarei servo di Cristo. Il Vangelo di Paolo non viene dalPuomo, ma da Dio uVi dichiaro apertamente, o fratelli, che il Vangelo da me predicato non è dall'uomo; imperché io non l'ho ricevuto, nè imparato dall'uomo, ma per rivelazione di Gesù Cristo. ìsVoi infatti avrete sentito parlare delle mie relazioni d'una volta col Giudaismo, come accanitamente perseguitassi la Chiesa di Dio e la devastassi, 1 «sorpassando nel Giudaismo molti della mia età e della mia nazione, come straordinario zelatore della tradizione dei miei padri. isMa quando a Colui che mi segregò fin dal seno di mia madre, e mi ha chiamato per sua grazia, piacque ìsdi rivelare in me il suo Figliolo affinchè io lo predicassi ai Gentili, io subito, senza dar retta alla carne e al sangue, ^senza andare a Gerusalemme da quelli che erano apostoli prima di me, mi ritirai in Arabia e poi tornai di nuovo a Damasco. ieTre anni dopo, salii a Gerusalemme per far la conoscenza di Pietro e stetti con lui quindici giorni. ìsDegli altri apostoli non vidi clie Giacomo, fratello del Signore. 20E riguardo a quanto scrivo, l'attesto davanti a Dio, non mentisco. 21 Poi mi recai nelle contrade della Siria e della Ciliciai 22 Dalf 23 lo Chiese di Cristo che sono nella Giudea non ero conosciuto di vista; 2sesse avevan soltanto sentito dire: Quello che una volta ci perseguitava ora predica la fede che allora cercava di distruggere. 2
11 Now I want to make it quite clear to you, brothers, about the gospel that was preached by me, that itwas no human message.
12 It was not from any human being that I received it, and I was not taught it, but it came to me through arevelation of Jesus Christ.
13 You have surely heard how I lived in the past, within Judaism, and how there was simply no limit to the way I persecuted the Church of God in my attempts to destroy it;
14 and how, in Judaism, I outstripped most of my Jewish contemporaries in my limitless enthusiasm forthe traditions of my ancestors.
15 But when God, who had set me apart from the time when I was in my mother's womb, cal ed methrough his grace and chose
16 to reveal his Son in me, so that I should preach him to the gentiles, I was in no hurry to confer with anyhuman being,
17 or to go up to Jerusalem to see those who were already apostles before me. Instead, I went off toArabia, and later I came back to Damascus.
18 Only after three years did I go up to Jerusalem to meet Cephas. I stayed fifteen days with him
19 but did not set eyes on any of the rest of the apostles, only James, the Lord's brother.
20 I swear before God that what I have written is the truth.
21 After that I went to places in Syria and Cilicia;
22 and was stil unknown by sight to the churches of Judaea which are in Christ,
23 they simply kept hearing it said, 'The man once so eager to persecute us is now preaching the faiththat he used to try to destroy,'
24 and they gave glory to God for me.
