¹ From Paul, an apostle appointed not by human beings nor through any human being but by JesusChrist and God the Father who raised him from the dead,	¹ Paolo creato Apostolo non dagli uomini, né per mezzo di un uomo, ma da Gesù Cristo, e da Dio Padre, che lui risuscitò da morte:
² and al the brothers who are with me, to the churches of Galatia.	² E tutti i fratelli, che sono meco, alle Chiese della Galazia.
³ Grace and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ	³ Grazia a voi, e pace da Dio Padre, e dal Signor nostro Gesù Cristo,
⁴ who gave himself for our sins to liberate us from this present wicked world, in accordance with the wil ofour God and Father,	⁴ Il quale diede se stesso pe' nostri peccati, per cavarci dal presente secolo maligno secondo la volontà di Dio, e padre nostro,
⁵ to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.	⁵ Cui è gloria ne' secoli de' secoli: cosi sia.
⁶ I am astonished that you are so promptly turning away from the one who cal ed you in the grace ofChrist and are going over to a different gospel-	⁶ Mi stupisco, come così presto fate passaggio da colui, che vi chiamò alla grazia di Cristo, ad un altro vangelo:
⁷ not that it is another gospel; except that there are trouble-makers among you who are seeking to pervertthe gospel of Christ.	⁷ Sebbene non ve n'è altro, ma vi sono alcuni, che vi sconturbano, e voglion capivoltare il Vangelo di Cristo.
⁸ But even if we ourselves or an angel from heaven preaches to you a gospel other than the one wepreached to you, let God's curse be on him.	⁸ Ma quand'anche noi, o un Angelo del cielo evangelizzi a voi oltre quello, che abbiamo a voi evangelizzato, sia anatema.
⁹ I repeat again what we declared before: anyone who preaches to you a gospel other than the one youwere first given is to be under God's curse.	⁹ Come dissi per l'innanzi dico anche adesso: se alcuno evangelizzerà a voi oltre quello, che avete appreso, sia anatema.
¹⁰ Whom am I trying to convince now, human beings or God? Am I trying to please human beings? If Iwere stil doing that I should not be a servant of Christ.	¹⁰ Imperocché al dì d'oggi predico io gli uomini, o Dio? Cerco io forse dipiacere agli uomini: Se tuttora piacessi agli uomini, non sarei servo di Cristo.
¹¹ Now I want to make it quite clear to you, brothers, about the gospel that was preached by me, that itwas no human message.	¹¹ Or vi fo sapere, o fratelli, come il vangelo, che è stato evangelizzato da me, non è cosa umana:
¹² It was not from any human being that I received it, and I was not taught it, but it came to me through arevelation of Jesus Christ.	¹² Imperocché non lo ho ricevuto, né lo ho imparato da un uomo, ma per rivelazione di Gesù Cristo.
¹³ You have surely heard how I lived in the past, within Judaism, and how there was simply no limit to the way I persecuted the Church of God in my attempts to destroy it;	¹³ Imperocché voi avete sentito dire, com'io mi diportassi una volta nel giudaismo, come formisura io perseguitava la Chiesa di Dio, e la devastava,
¹⁴ and how, in Judaism, I outstripped most of my Jewish contemporaries in my limitless enthusiasm forthe traditions of my ancestors.	¹⁴ E mi avanzava nel giudaismo sopra molti miei coetanei della mia condizione, più gran zelatore essendo delle paterne mie tradizioni.
¹⁵ But when God, who had set me apart from the time when I was in my mother's womb, cal ed methrough his grace and chose	¹⁵ Ma allorché piacque a colui, che mi aveva segregato fin dall'utero di mia madre, ed il quale per sua grazia mi chiamò,
¹⁶ to reveal his Son in me, so that I should preach him to the gentiles, I was in no hurry to confer with anyhuman being,	¹⁶ Di rivelare a me il suo figliuolo, affinchè io lo predicassi alle genti, subitamente non presi consiglio dalla carne, e dal sangue,
¹⁷ or to go up to Jerusalem to see those who were already apostles before me. Instead, I went off toArabia, and later I came back to Damascus.	¹⁷ Né andai a Gerusalemme da quegli, che erano Apostoli prima di me, ma me ne andai nell'Arabia, e di nuovo ritornai a Damasco:
¹⁸ Only after three years did I go up to Jerusalem to meet Cephas. I stayed fifteen days with him	¹⁸ Indi tre anni dopo andai a Gerusalemme per visitare Pietro, e stetti presso di lui quindici giorni:
¹⁹ but did not set eyes on any of the rest of the apostles, only James, the Lord's brother.	¹⁹ Alcun altro non vidi degli Apostoli, ma solo Giacomo fratello del Signore.
²⁰ I swear before God that what I have written is the truth.	²⁰ In quello, che a voi scrivo, testimone presente è Dio, che io non mentisco.
²¹ After that I went to places in Syria and Cilicia;	²¹ Di poi andai ne' paesi della Siria, e della Cilicia.
²² and was stil unknown by sight to the churches of Judaea which are in Christ,	²² Né io era conosciuto di vista dalle Chiese di Cristo nella Giudea:
²³ they simply kept hearing it said, 'The man once so eager to persecute us is now preaching the faiththat he used to try to destroy,'	²³ E solamente avevan sentito dire: colui, che una volta ci perseguitava, evangelizza ora la fede, cui già detestava;
²⁴ and they gave glory to God for me.	²⁴ E per causa mia glorificavano il Signore.
