Romans 10

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 Brothers, my dearest wish and my prayer to God is for them, that they may be saved.	1 Testvérek! Szívemből kívánom és könyörgök Istenhez az ő üdvösségükért.
2 I readily testify to their fervour for God, but it is misguided.	2 Mert tanúságot teszek mellettük, hogy megvan bennük a buzgóság Istenért, de ez a nem ismerők buzgósága.
3 Not recognising God's saving justice they have tried to establish their own, instead of submitting tothe saving justice of God.	3 Nem ismerték el ugyanis az Istentől való megigazulást, s a magukét igyekeztek helyébe állítani; nem vetették alá magukat az Istentől való megigazulásnak.
4 But the Law has found its fulfilment in Christ so that al who have faith wil be justified.	4 Pedig Krisztus a törvény végcélja, mindenkinek a megigazulására, aki hisz.
5 Moses writes of the saving justice that comes by the Law and says that whoever complies with it wilfind life in it.	5 Mózes ugyanis azt írja a törvényből eredő megigazulásról: »Az ember, aki teljesíti azt, élni fog általa« .
6 But the saving justice of faith says this: Do not think in your heart, 'Who wil go up to heaven?' --	6 A hitből eredő megigazulásról pedig így szól: »Ne mondd szívedben: Ki megy föl az égbe?« – tudniillik, hogy Krisztust lehozza.
7 that is to bring Christ down; or 'Who wil go down to the depths?' -- that is to bring Christ back fromthe dead.	7 Vagy: »Ki száll le az alvilágba?« – tudniillik, hogy Krisztust a halottak közül visszahívja.
8 What does it say, then? The word is very near to you; it is in your mouth and in your heart, that is, theword of faith, the faith which we preach,	8 Az Írás viszont mit mond? »Közel van hozzád az ige, a szádban és a szívedben« . Ez tudniillik a hit igéje, amelyet hirdetünk.
9 that if you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and if you believe with your heart that Godraised him from the dead, then you wil be saved.	9 Ha tehát a száddal vallod, hogy »Jézus az Úr!«, és a szívedben hiszed, hogy Isten feltámasztotta őt a halottak közül, üdvözülsz.
10 It is by believing with the heart that you are justified, and by making the declaration with your lipsthat you are saved.	10 A szív hite megigazulásra, a szájjal való megvallás pedig üdvösségre szolgál.
11 When scripture says: No one who relies on this wil be brought to disgrace,	11 Az Írás ugyanis azt mondja: »Mindaz, aki hisz benne, meg nem szégyenül«.
12 it makes no distinction between Jew and Greek: the same Lord is the Lord of all, and his generosityis offered to al who appeal to him,	12 Nincsen ugyanis különbség zsidó és görög között, mert mindnyájuknak ugyanaz az egy Ura van, aki bőkezű mindazokhoz, akik segítségül hívják őt.
13 for al who cal on the name of the Lord wil be saved.	13 Mert mindenki, aki segítségül hívja az Úr nevét, üdvözül .
14 How then are they to call on him if they have not come to believe in him? And how can they believein him if they have never heard of him? And how wil they hear of him unless there is a preacher for them?	14 De hogyan hívják segítségül azt, akiben nem hisznek? S hogyan higgyenek abban, akiről nem hallottak? S hogyan halljanak, ha nincsen, aki hirdesse?
15 And how wil there be preachers if they are not sent? As scripture says: How beautiful are the feet ofthe messenger of good news.	15 S hogyan hirdessék, ha nem küldték őket? Amint meg van írva: »Milyen gyönyörűségesek azok lábai, akik a jó hírt hirdetik!«
16 But in fact they have not all responded to the good news. As Isaiah says: Lord, who has givencredence to what they have heard from us?	16 De nem mindnyájan fogadták engedelmességgel a jó hírt. Azért mondja Izajás: »Uram, ki hitt annak, amit hallott tőlünk?«
17 But it is in that way faith comes, from hearing, and that means hearing the word of Christ.	17 Eszerint a hit hallásból van, a hallás pedig Krisztus szava által.
18 Wel then, I say, is it possible that they have not heard? Indeed they have: in the entire earth theirvoice stands out, their message reaches the whole world.	18 De kérdem én: Talán nem hallották? Sőt, ellenkezőleg: »Hangjuk elhatott az egész földre, s beszédük a földkerekség határaira«.
19 Wel , another question, then: is it possible that Israel did not understand? In the first place Mosessaid: I shal rouse you to jealousy with a non-people, I shal exasperate you with a stupid nation.	19 Vagy kérdem én: Talán Izrael nem értette meg? Mózes mondja először: »Versengésre indítalak benneteket azok ellen, akik ‘nem népem’, és oktalan nép által haragra ingerellek titeket«.
20 And Isaiah is even bold enough to say: I have let myself be found by those who did not seek me; Ihave let myself be seen by those who did not consult me;	20 Izajás bátran kimondja: »Megtaláltak engem, akik nem kerestek, és kinyilvánítottam magam azoknak, akik nem kutattak utánam« .
21 and referring to Israel, he says: Al day long I have been stretching out my hands to a disobedientand rebel ious people.	21 Izraelhez azonban így szól: »Kitártam kezemet egész nap a hitetlen és ellenszegülő nép felé« .
