Deuteronomy 24

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 'Suppose a man has taken a wife and consummated the marriage; but she has not pleased him andhe has found some impropriety of which to accuse her; he has therefore made out a writ of divorce for her andhanded it to her and then dismissed her from his house;	1 Ha valaki feleséget vesz, s azt a magáévá teszi, de az valami rút dolog miatt nem talál kedvet a szeme előtt, akkor írjon válólevelet, adja a kezébe, s bocsássa el házából.
2 she leaves his home and goes away to become the wife of another man.	2 Ha azonban az elmegy és más férfihoz megy feleségül,
3 Then suppose this second man who has married her takes a dislike to her and makes out a writ ofdivorce for her and hands it to her and dismisses her from his house or if this other man who took her as his wifedies,	3 s az is meggyűlöli, s válólevelet ad neki, s elbocsátja házából, vagy pedig, ha az meghal:
4 her first husband, who has repudiated her, may not take her back as his wife now that she has beenmade unclean in this way. For that is detestable in Yahweh's eyes and you must not bring guilt on the countrywhich Yahweh your God is giving you as your heritage.	4 akkor előbbi férje nem veheti vissza feleségül, mert tisztátalanná lett, s utálatossá vált az Úr előtt. Ne tedd bűnössé földedet, amelyet neked az Úr, a te Istened birtokul adni fog.
5 'If a man is newly married, he must not join the army, nor must he be pestered at home; he must beleft at home, free of al obligations for one year, to make his new wife happy.	5 Ha valaki feleséget vesz, akkor abban az időben ne menjen hadba, s ne vessenek ki rá semmiféle közterhet, hanem éljen szabadon a házában, hogy örvendezhessék egy esztendeig a feleségével.
6 'No one may take a mil or a mil stone in pledge; that would be to take life itself in pledge.	6 Ne vedd el zálogul az alsó vagy a felső malomkövet, mert azzal életét adja neked zálogba az illető.
7 'If anyone is caught, having kidnapped one of his brother-Israelites, whether he makes him his slaveor sel s him, that thief must die. You must banish this evil from among you.	7 Ha valakit azon kapnak, hogy elcsal valakit a testvérei, Izrael fiai közül, s eladja, s felveszi árát: meg kell ölni; távolítsd el a gonoszságot magad körül.
8 'In a case of a virulent skin-disease, take care you faithful y observe and exactly carry out everythingthat the levitical priests direct you to do. You must keep and observe everything that I have commanded them.	8 Vigyázz szorgosan magadra, hogy a lepra csapása rád ne jöjjön. Éppen azért tedd meg és gondosan teljesítsd mindazt, amire a levita-nemzetségből való papok tanítanak téged, ahogy én parancsoltam nekik,
9 Remember what Yahweh your God did to Miriam when you were on your way out of Egypt.	9 s gondoljatok csak arra, mit tett az Úr, a ti Istenetek Mirjámmal az úton, amikor kijöttetek Egyiptomból.
10 'If you are making your brother a loan on pledge, you must not go into his house and seize thepledge, whatever it may be.	10 Ha visszaköveteled felebarátodtól, amivel tartozik neked, be ne menj házába, hogy zálogot végy tőle,
11 You must stay outside, and the man to whom you are making the loan must bring the pledge out toyou.	11 hanem kinn állj meg, s ő hozza ki neked, amije van.
12 And if the man is poor, you must not go to bed with his pledge in your possession;	12 Ha az illető szegény ember, akkor ne maradjon nálad éjszakára a zálogja,
13 you must return it to him at sunset so that he can sleep in his cloak and bless you; and it wil be anupright action on your part in God's view.	13 hanem add vissza azt neki rögtön napszállta előtt, hogy ruházatában hálhasson és áldjon téged, s ez érdemedül szolgáljon az Úr, a te Istened előtt.
14 'You must not exploit a poor and needy wage-earner, be he one of your brothers or a foreignerresident in your community.	14 Ne tartsd vissza a szűkölködő és szegény napszámos bérét, se a testvéredét, se a jövevényét, aki veled lakik földeden, s kapuidon belül van,
15 You must pay him his wages each day, not al owing the sun to set before you do, since he, beingpoor, needs them badly; otherwise he may appeal to Yahweh against you, and you would incur guilt.	15 hanem még aznap, napszállta előtt fizesd ki neki munkadíját – hiszen szegény, s abból tartja fenn életét –, hogy ne kiáltson az Úrhoz miattad, s Ő bűnül ne tulajdonítsa ezt neked.
16 'Parents may not be put to death for their children, nor children for parents, but each must be put todeath for his own crime.	16 Nem szabad kivégezni apát gyermekei miatt, gyermeket apja miatt: mindenki csak a maga bűnéért lakolhat halállal.
17 'You must not infringe the rights of the foreigner or the orphan; you must not take a widow's clothesin pledge.	17 Ne ferdítsd el a jövevény és az árva igazát, s ne vedd zálogba az özvegy ruháját.
18 Remember that you were once a slave in Egypt and that Yahweh your God redeemed you from that.That is why I am giving you this order.	18 Emlékezzél meg arról, hogy rabszolga voltál Egyiptomban, s az Úr, a te Istened szabadított meg onnan: azért parancsolom neked, hogy ezt cselekedd.
19 'If, when reaping the harvest in your field, you overlook a sheaf in that field, do not go back for it. Theforeigner, the orphan and the widow shal have it, so that Yahweh your God may bless you in al yourundertakings.	19 Ha vetésedet aratod földeden, s ott felejtesz egy kévét, ne térj vissza, hogy elhozd, hanem hagyd, hogy a jövevény, az árva s az özvegy vigye el, hogy megáldjon téged az Úr, a te Istened kezed minden munkájában.
20 'When you beat your olive tree, you must not go over the branches twice. The foreigner, the orphanand the widow shall have the rest.	20 Ha olajfád termését szeded, ne térj vissza összeszedni, ami a fán ottmaradt, hanem hagyd a jövevénynek, az árvának s az özvegynek.
21 'When you harvest your vineyard, you must not pick it over a second time. The foreigner, the orphanand the widow shall have the rest.	21 Ha szőlőd szüreteled, ne szedd össze az ottmaradt fürtöket, hanem hagyd, hogy azok a jövevény, az árva s az özvegy szükségleteire szolgáljanak.
22 'Remember that you were once a slave in Egypt. That is why I am giving you this order.'	22 Emlékezzél meg arról, hogy te is rabszolga voltál Egyiptomban: azért parancsolom neked, hogy ezt cselekedjed.
