Deuteronomy 22

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA RICCIOTTI
1 'If you see your brother's ox or one of his sheep straying, you must not disregard it: you must take itback to your brother.	1 - Se vedrai il bove o la pecora del tuo fratello errare smarrita, non tirerai di lungo, ma li ricondurrai al tuo fratello.
2 And if he is not close at hand or you do not know who he is, you must take it home with you and keepit by you until your brother comes to look for it; you wil then return it to him.	2 Anche se quel tuo fratello non ti sta vicino, e tu non lo conosci, riconduci gli animali a casa tua; staranno presso di te finchè il tuo fratello li richieda e li riprenda.
3 'You must do the same with his donkey, the same with his cloak, the same with anything that yourbrother loses and that you find; you must not disregard it.	3 Lo stesso farai dell'asino, del vestito e d'ogni altra cosa perduta del tuo fratello; se la troverai, non te ne disinteressare [dicendo] che è roba d'altri.
4 'If you see your brother's donkey or ox fal over on the road, you must not disregard it, but must helpyour brother get it on its feet again.	4 Se vedrai che l'asino o il bove del tuo fratello son caduti in strada, non vi resterai indifferente, ma insieme a lui li rialzerai.
5 'A woman must not dress like a man, nor a man like a woman; anyone who does this is detestable toYahweh your God.	5 La donna non si vestirà da uomo, nè l'uomo da donna; perchè chi fa queste cose è in abominazione presso Dio.
6 'If, when out walking, you come across a bird's nest, in a tree or on the ground, with chicks or eggsand the mother bird sitting on the chicks or the eggs, you must not take the mother as wel as the chicks.	6 Se camminando troverai per la via, su un albero o in terra, un nido d'uccelli, con la madre a covarvi i piccoli o le uova, non la prenderai insieme coi piccoli,
7 Let the mother go; the young you may take for yourself. Thus wil you have prosperity and long life.	7 ma la lascerai andar libera tenendo per te i piccoli, acciò bene te ne venga, e tu abbia lunga vita.
8 'When you build a new house, you must give your roof a parapet; then your house will not incur blood-vengeance, should anyone fal off the top.	8 Quando fabbricherai una casa nuova, farai torno torno al tetto un riparo, acciò non si versi sangue in casa tua, e n'abbia tu la colpa, se uno sdrucciola e precipita di sotto.
9 'You must not sow any other crop in your vineyard, or the whole yield may become forfeit, both thecrop you have sown and the yield of your vines.	9 Non seminerai nella tua vigna un'altra sementa; se no, tanto la sementa che hai seminato, quanto quel che nasce dalla vigna, saranno ugualmente riserbati al santuario.
10 'You must not plough with ox and donkey together.	10 Non arerai mettendo insieme un bove con un asino.
11 'You must not wear clothing woven part of wool, part of linen.	11 Non ti metterai un vestito che sia tessuto insieme di lana e di lino.
12 'You must make tassels for the four corners of the cloak in which you wrap yourself.	12 Ai quattro angoli del mantello col quale ti cuopri, metterai delle frange di cordoncini.
13 'If a man marries a woman, has sexual intercourse with her and then, turning against her,	13 Se un uomo ha preso moglie, e poi gli è venuta in uggia,
14 taxes her with misconduct and publicly defames her by saying, "I married this woman and when Ihad sexual intercourse with her I did not find evidence of her virginity,"	14 e cercando i motivi per rimandarla, l'accusa d'una pessima azione, e dice: - Io la presi per moglie, ma accostandomi a lei non la trovai vergine; -
15 the girl's father and mother must take the evidence of her virginity and produce it before the elders ofthe town, at the gate.	15 il padre e la madre di lei la condurranno ai seniori della città, che siedono presso alla porta, e porteranno seco le prove della di lei verginità.
16 To the elders, the girl's father wil say, "I gave this man my daughter for a wife and he has turnedagainst her,	16 Il padre dirà: - Io detti la figlia mia in moglie a costui; e siccome egli l'ha in odio,
17 and now he taxes her with misconduct, saying, I have found no evidence of virginity in your daughter.Here is the evidence of my daughter's virginity!"	17 l'accusa di una pessima azione, e dice: "Io non ho trovato vergine la figlia tua"; ora, ecco qui i segni della verginità della figlia mia. - E spiegherà il lenzuolo davanti ai seniori della città.
18 They must then display the cloth to the elders of the town.	18 Allora i seniori di quella città prenderanno quell'uomo, e lo frusteranno,
19 The elders of the town in question wil have the man arrested and flogged, and fine him a hundredsilver shekels for publicly defaming a virgin of Israel, and give this money to the girl's father. She wil remain his wife; as long as he lives, he may not divorce her.	19 condannandolo inoltre a dar cento sicli d'argento al padre della fanciulla, per aver diffamato con gravissima accusa una vergine d'Israele; la terrà per moglie, e non potrà più rimandarla insino che vive.
20 'But if the accusation that the girl cannot show evidence of virginity is substantiated,	20 Ma se è vero quel ch'egli le oppone, e la fanciulla non fu trovata vergine,
21 she must be taken out, and at the door of her father's house her fellow-citizens must stone her todeath for having committed an infamy in Israel by bringing disgrace on her father's family. You must banish thisevil from among you.	21 il popolo di quella città la caccerà fuori dalla casa del padre suo, e la lapiderà e la metterà a morte, poichè fece cosa nefanda in Israele, fornicando in casa del padre suo; e toglierai di mezzo a te questo scandalo.
22 'If a man is caught having sexual intercourse with another man's wife, both must be put to death: theman who has slept with her and the woman herself. You must banish this evil from Israel.	22 Se un uomo peccherà con la moglie d'un altro, morranno ambedue, l'adultero cioè e l'adultera; toglierai da Israele un tal male.
23 'If a virgin is engaged to a man, and another man encounters her in the town and has sexualintercourse with her,	23 Se una fanciulla vergine sarà promessa ad un uomo, ed un altro, trovatala entro la città, le avrà fatto violenza,
24 you will take them both to the gate of the town in question and stone them to death: the girl, for nothaving cal ed for help in the town; the man, for having exploited his fel ow-citizen's wife. You must banish thisevil from among you.	24 li condurrai ambedue alla porta di quella città, e saranno lapidati; la fanciulla, perchè non gridò mentre era in città; l'uomo perchè violò la donna del prossimo suo; e toglierai di mezzo a te questo malanno.
25 But if the man ran into the betrothed girl in the open country and slept with her, having taken her byforce, her ravisher alone must die;	25 Ma se quell'uomo trovò per la campagna la fanciulla promessa sposa, e la prese e le fece violenza, lui solo morrà;
26 you must do nothing to the girl, she has not committed a capital offence. The case is like that of aman who attacks and kil s his fel ow:	26 la fanciulla non verrà punita in alcun modo, nè è rea di morte. Perchè, come un ladrone si slancia su un suo fratello e l'uccide, così è accaduto a quella fanciulla;
27 since he came across her in the open country, the betrothed girl may have cal ed out, withoutanyone's coming to her rescue.	27 era sola alla campagna, gridò, ma non v'era nessuno per liberarla.
28 'If a man meets a young virgin who is not betrothed and seizes her, sleeps with her and is caught inthe act,	28 Se un uomo trova una fanciulla vergine non ancora promessa, e la prende e le fa violenza, e la cosa vien recata in giudizio,
29 her ravisher must give the girl's father fifty silver shekels; since he has exploited her, she must be hiswife and, as long as he lives, he may not divorce her.'	29 quegli che violò la fanciulla darà al padre di lei cinquanta sicli d'argento, la prenderà in moglie avendola disonorata, e non potrà repudiarla in tutto il tempo della sua vita.
	30 Nessuno prenderà per sè la moglie del padre suo, nè scoprirà ciò ch'egli ricoprì.
