Deuteronomy 22

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 'If you see your brother's ox or one of his sheep straying, you must not disregard it: you must take itback to your brother.	1 Ha testvéred marhája vagy juha eltéved, ne nézd és ne menj el mellette, hanem hajtsd vissza testvéredhez.
2 And if he is not close at hand or you do not know who he is, you must take it home with you and keepit by you until your brother comes to look for it; you wil then return it to him.	2 Ha testvéred nincs közel hozzád, vagy nem ismered őt: akkor hajtsd be házadba, s legyen nálad, míg testvéred nem keresi, s vissza nem veszi.
3 'You must do the same with his donkey, the same with his cloak, the same with anything that yourbrother loses and that you find; you must not disregard it.	3 Ugyanígy cselekedjél szamarával, ruhájával, testvéred minden elveszett holmijával: ha megtalálod, ne hagyd ott azért, mert másé.
4 'If you see your brother's donkey or ox fal over on the road, you must not disregard it, but must helpyour brother get it on its feet again.	4 Ha azt látod, hogy testvéred szamara vagy marhája elesett az úton, ne nézz másfelé, hanem emeld fel vele együtt.
5 'A woman must not dress like a man, nor a man like a woman; anyone who does this is detestable toYahweh your God.	5 Asszony ne öltözzék férfiruhába, s férfi ne használjon asszonyi ruhát: mert utálatos Isten előtt, aki ilyesmit tesz.
6 'If, when out walking, you come across a bird's nest, in a tree or on the ground, with chicks or eggsand the mother bird sitting on the chicks or the eggs, you must not take the mother as wel as the chicks.	6 Ha az úton jársz és fán vagy földön madárfészket találsz, s az anyamadár rajta ül a fiókákon vagy a tojáson, ne fogd meg fiókáival együtt,
7 Let the mother go; the young you may take for yourself. Thus wil you have prosperity and long life.	7 hanem engedd elmenni és csak a fiókákat ejtsd foglyul, hogy jó dolgod legyen és hosszú ideig élj.
8 'When you build a new house, you must give your roof a parapet; then your house will not incur blood-vengeance, should anyone fal off the top.	8 Ha új házat építesz, készíts védőfalat körben a tetőre, hogy vérontás ne történjék házadban, s vétkessé ne légy, ha valaki megcsúszik, s leesik onnan.
9 'You must not sow any other crop in your vineyard, or the whole yield may become forfeit, both thecrop you have sown and the yield of your vines.	9 Ne vesd be szőlődet másféle maggal: hogy a termés is, amelyet vetettél s az is, ami a szőlődön terem, egyaránt szentté ne legyen.
10 'You must not plough with ox and donkey together.	10 Ne szánts egyszerre marhával és szamárral.
11 'You must not wear clothing woven part of wool, part of linen.	11 Ne öltözz gyapjúból és lenből vegyesen szőtt ruhába.
12 'You must make tassels for the four corners of the cloak in which you wrap yourself.	12 Bojtokat készíts a köpenyedre, mellyel befeded magad, a szélére, mind a négy sarkára.
13 'If a man marries a woman, has sexual intercourse with her and then, turning against her,	13 Ha valaki feleséget vesz, s aztán meggyűlöli,
14 taxes her with misconduct and publicly defames her by saying, "I married this woman and when Ihad sexual intercourse with her I did not find evidence of her virginity,"	14 s ürügyet keres, hogy annak alapján elbocsáthassa, s azért rossz hírét költi és azt mondja: ‘feleségül vettem ezt és ezt, s amikor bementem hozzá, nem találtam szűznek’,
15 the girl's father and mother must take the evidence of her virginity and produce it before the elders ofthe town, at the gate.	15 akkor a nő apja és anyja fogják a nőt, s vigyék ki magukkal szüzességének jeleit a város véneihez, akik a kapuban vannak,
16 To the elders, the girl's father wil say, "I gave this man my daughter for a wife and he has turnedagainst her,	16 s mondja az apa: ‘Lányomat ennek s ennek adtam feleségül, s mivel gyűlöli,
17 and now he taxes her with misconduct, saying, I have found no evidence of virginity in your daughter.Here is the evidence of my daughter's virginity!"	17 rossz hírét költi, s azt mondja: Nem találtam lányodat szűznek – pedig íme, itt vannak lányom szüzességének jelei’ –, és terítsék ki a ruhát a város vénei előtt.
18 They must then display the cloth to the elders of the town.	18 Erre fogják meg az illető város vénei a férfit, veressék meg,
19 The elders of the town in question wil have the man arrested and flogged, and fine him a hundredsilver shekels for publicly defaming a virgin of Israel, and give this money to the girl's father. She wil remain his wife; as long as he lives, he may not divorce her.	19 s azon felül ítéljék arra, hogy száz sékel ezüstöt adjon a lány apjának, amiért rossz hírét költötte Izrael egyik szűzének és tartsa meg a nőt feleségül, s el ne bocsáthassa egész életében.
20 'But if the accusation that the girl cannot show evidence of virginity is substantiated,	20 Ha azonban igaz, amit a szemére vet, s nem talált szüzességet a lányban,
21 she must be taken out, and at the door of her father's house her fellow-citizens must stone her todeath for having committed an infamy in Israel by bringing disgrace on her father's family. You must banish thisevil from among you.	21 akkor vessék ki a lányt apja házának ajtaján, városának férfiai pedig kövezzék halálra, mert gonoszságot cselekedett Izraelben, minthogy paráználkodott apja házánál: távolítsd el a gonoszságot magad közül.
22 'If a man is caught having sexual intercourse with another man's wife, both must be put to death: theman who has slept with her and the woman herself. You must banish this evil from Israel.	22 Ha valaki másnak a feleségével hál, haljon meg mind a kettő, vagyis a házasságtörő férfi meg a házasságtörő asszony: távolítsd el a gonoszságot Izraelből.
23 'If a virgin is engaged to a man, and another man encounters her in the town and has sexualintercourse with her,	23 Ha valamely szűzlányt eljegyez egy férfi, s valaki a városban találkozik és hál vele,
24 you will take them both to the gate of the town in question and stone them to death: the girl, for nothaving cal ed for help in the town; the man, for having exploited his fel ow-citizen's wife. You must banish thisevil from among you.	24 akkor vidd ki mind a kettőt az illető város kapujához, s kövezd agyon: a lányt, mert nem kiáltott, noha benn volt a városban, a férfit, mert megalázta felebarátjának feleségét – távolítsd el a gonoszságot magad közül. –
25 But if the man ran into the betrothed girl in the open country and slept with her, having taken her byforce, her ravisher alone must die;	25 Ha azonban a mezőn találkozik a férfi az eljegyzett leánnyal, s megragadja, s hál vele, akkor csak ő haljon meg egyedül.
26 you must do nothing to the girl, she has not committed a capital offence. The case is like that of aman who attacks and kil s his fel ow:	26 A lányt ne érje semmi se, mert nem halálra méltó, mivel olyasmi történt a leánnyal, mint amikor a rabló rátámad a felebarátra és megöli:
27 since he came across her in the open country, the betrothed girl may have cal ed out, withoutanyone's coming to her rescue.	27 egyedül volt a mezőn, kiáltott, de nem volt senki sem ott, aki megszabadíthatta volna.
28 'If a man meets a young virgin who is not betrothed and seizes her, sleeps with her and is caught inthe act,	28 Ha egy férfi olyan szűzleánnyal találkozik, akinek nincsen jegyese, s megragadja a lányt, s hál vele, s az ügy a törvény elé kerül:
29 her ravisher must give the girl's father fifty silver shekels; since he has exploited her, she must be hiswife and, as long as he lives, he may not divorce her.'	29 akkor adjon az, aki vele hált, a lány apjának ötven sékel ezüstöt, a lányt pedig vegye feleségül, minthogy megalázta, s el ne bocsáthassa egész életében.
