20 Look! 22 When he came out he could not speak to them, and they realised that he had seen a vision in thesanctuary. 35 The angel answered, 'The Holy Spirit wil come upon you, and the power of the Most High wil coveryou with its shadow. 63 The father asked for a writing-tablet and wrote, 'His name is John.' And they were al astonished.	63 Ő pedig írótáblát kért, és ezeket a szavakat írta rá: »János a neve.« Mindnyájan elcsodálkoztak.
64 At that instant his power of speech returned and he spoke and praised God.	64 Erre azonnal megnyílt a szája és a nyelve, megszólalt, és magasztalta Istent.
65 Al their neighbours were filled with awe and the whole affair was talked about throughout the hilcountry of Judaea.	65 Félelem szállta meg összes szomszédjukat, s e dolgok híre elterjedt Júdea egész hegyvidékén.

67 His father Zechariah was fil ed with the Holy Spirit and spoke this prophecy:	67 Apja pedig, Zakariás, betelt Szentlélekkel és így jövendölt:
68 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, for he has visited his people, he has set them free,	68 »Áldott az Úr, Izrael Istene , mert meglátogatta és megváltotta az ő népét.

80 Meanwhile the child grew up and his spirit grew strong. And he lived in the desert until the day heappeared openly to Israel.	80 A gyermek pedig növekedett és erősödött lélekben, és a pusztában volt addig a napig, amíg nyilvánosan fel nem lépett Izraelben.
