Mark 10

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 After leaving there, he came into the territory of Judaea and Transjordan. And again crowds gatheredround him, and again he taught them, as his custom was.	1 Partito di lì, si avviò verso le zone della Giudea e oltre il Giordano, mentre di nuovo le folle accorrevano a lui ed egli di nuovo, secondo il suo solito, le istruiva.
2 Some Pharisees approached him and asked, 'Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?' They wereputting him to the test.	2 E avvicinatisi alcuni farisei, per metterlo alla prova gli domandarono se fosse lecito a un uomo ripudiare la propria moglie.
3 He answered them, 'What did Moses command you?'	3 Egli domandò loro: "Che cosa vi ha comandato Mosè?".
4 They replied, 'Moses al owed us to draw up a writ of dismissal in cases of divorce.'	4 Risposero: "Mosè permise di scrivere il libello di ripudio e di mandarla via".
5 Then Jesus said to them, 'It was because you were so hard hearted that he wrote this commandmentfor you.	5 Ma Gesù disse loro: "A causa della vostra durezza di cuore egli scrisse questo precetto;
6 But from the beginning of creation he made them male and female.	6 ma al principio della creazione Dio li fece maschio e femmina.
7 This is why a man leaves his father and mother,	7 Per questo l'uomo lascerà suo padre e sua madre e si unirà a sua moglie,
8 and the two become one flesh. They are no longer two, therefore, but one flesh.	8 e i due saranno una carne sola. Sicché non sono più due, ma una sola carne.
9 So then, what God has united, human beings must not divide.'	9 Dunque: ciò che Dio ha unito, l'uomo non separi".
10 Back in the house the disciples questioned him again about this,	10 Quando fu di nuovo in casa, i discepoli lo interrogarono intorno a ciò
11 and he said to them, 'Whoever divorces his wife and marries another is guilty of adultery against her.	11 ed egli disse loro: "Chi ripudia la propria moglie e ne sposa un'altra, commette adulterio verso di lei.
12 And if a woman divorces her husband and marries another she is guilty of adultery too.'	12 Così pure la donna che ripudia suo marito e ne sposa un altro commette adulterio".
13 People were bringing little children to him, for him to touch them. The disciples scolded them,	13 Or alcuni gli conducevano dei bambini affinché li toccasse; ma i discepoli li sgridavano.
14 but when Jesus saw this he was indignant and said to them, 'Let the little children come to me; do notstop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs.	14 Visto ciò, Gesù si sdegnò e disse loro: "Lasciate che i bambini vengano a me e non li ostacolate, perché di quelli come loro è il regno di Dio.
15 In truth I tel you, anyone who does not welcome the kingdom of God like a little child wil never enterit.'	15 In verità vi dico che chi non accoglierà il regno di Dio come un fanciullo, certamente non vi entrerà".
16 Then he embraced them, laid his hands on them and gave them his blessing.	16 Quindi, prendendoli tra le braccia, li benediceva e imponeva loro le mani.
17 He was setting out on a journey when a man ran up, knelt before him and put this question to him,'Good master, what must I do to inherit eternal life?'	17 Uscito sulla strada, un tale gli corse incontro e gettatosi ai suoi piedi gli domandò: "Maestro buono, che cosa devo fare per avere la vita eterna?".
18 Jesus said to him, 'Why do you cal me good? No one is good but God alone.	18 Gli disse Gesù: "Perché mi chiami buono? Nessuno è buono, all'infuori di uno solo: Dio.
19 You know the commandments: You shal not kil ; You shal not commit adultery; You shal not steal;You shal not give false witness; You shal not defraud; Honour your father and mother.'	19 Conosci i comandamenti: Non uccidere. Non commettere adulterio. Non rubare. Non testimoniare il falso. Non frodare. Onora tuo padre e tua madre".
20 And he said to him, 'Master, I have kept al these since my earliest days.'	20 Quello gli rispose: "Maestro, tutte queste cose le ho osservate sin dalla mia fanciullezza".
21 Jesus looked steadily at him and he was fil ed with love for him, and he said, 'You need to do onething more. Go and sell what you own and give the money to the poor, and you wil have treasure in heaven;then come, fol ow me.'	21 Allora Gesù, guardandolo, lo amò e gli disse: "Ti manca ancora una cosa. Va', vendi tutto ciò che hai, dàllo ai poveri e avrai un tesoro nel cielo; poi, vieni e seguimi!".
22 But his face fel at these words and he went away sad, for he was a man of great wealth.	22 A queste parole, però, quello corrugò la fronte e se ne andò rattristato, perché aveva molte ricchezze.
23 Jesus looked round and said to his disciples, 'How hard it is for those who have riches to enter thekingdom of God!'	23 Allora Gesù, volgendo lo sguardo attorno, disse ai suoi discepoli: "Quanto difficilmente coloro che hanno ricchezze entreranno nel regno di Dio!".
24 The disciples were astounded by these words, but Jesus insisted, 'My children,' he said to them, 'howhard it is to enter the kingdom of God!	24 I discepoli si stupirono per queste sue parole; ma Gesù, prendendo di nuovo la parola, disse loro: "Figlioli, quanto è difficile entrare nel regno di Dio!
25 It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for someone rich to enter thekingdom of God.'	25 E' più facile che un cammello passi per la cruna di un ago, piuttosto che un ricco entri nel regno di Dio".
26 They were more astonished than ever, saying to one another, 'In that case, who can be saved?'	26 Quelli, stupiti ancora di più, si dicevano tra loro: "E chi potrà salvarsi?".
27 Jesus gazed at them and said, 'By human resources it is impossible, but not for God: because forGod everything is possible.'	27 Ma Gesù, guardandoli, disse loro: "E' impossibile agli uomini, ma non a Dio. A Dio, infatti, tutto è possibile".
28 Peter took this up. 'Look,' he said to him, 'we have left everything and fol owed you.'	28 Allora Pietro prese a dirgli: "Ecco: noi abbiamo lasciato ogni cosa e ti abbiamo seguito!".
29 Jesus said, 'In truth I tell you, there is no one who has left house, brothers, sisters, mother, father,children or land for my sake and for the sake of the gospel	29 Rispose Gesù: "In verità vi dico: non c'è nessuno, che abbia lasciato casa o fratelli o sorelle o madre o padre o figli o campi a causa mia e del vangelo,
30 who wil not receive a hundred times as much, houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and land-- and persecutions too -- now in this present time and, in the world to come, eternal life.	30 il quale non riceva ora, nel tempo presente, il centuplo in case, fratelli, sorelle, madri, figli e campi insieme alle persecuzioni, e la vita eterna nel secolo futuro.
31 Many who are first wil be last, and the last, first.'	31 Intanto molti dei primi saranno ultimi e gli ultimi saranno primi".
32 They were on the road, going up to Jerusalem; Jesus was walking on ahead of them; they were in adaze, and those who fol owed were apprehensive. Once more taking the Twelve aside he began to tel themwhat was going to happen to him,	32 Mentr'erano in cammino per salire a Gerusalemme, Gesù li precedeva ed essi erano stupiti, mentre quelli che venivano dietro avevano paura. Presi di nuovo in disparte i Dodici, incominciò a dir loro ciò che stava per accadergli:
33 'Now we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man is about to be handed over to the chiefpriests and the scribes. They will condemn him to death and wil hand him over to the gentiles,	33 "Ecco: noi saliamo a Gerusalemme e il Figlio dell'uomo sarà dato in mano ai prìncipi dei sacerdoti e agli scribi; lo condanneranno a morte e lo consegneranno in mano ai gentili;
34 who wil mock him and spit at him and scourge him and put him to death; and after three days he wilrise again.'	34 lo scherniranno, gli sputeranno addosso, lo flagelleranno e lo uccideranno; ma egli dopo tre giorni risorgerà".
35 James and John, the sons of Zebedee, approached him. 'Master,' they said to him, 'We want you todo us a favour.'	35 Avvicinatisi Giacomo e Giovanni, figli di Zebedeo, gli dicono: "Maestro, vogliamo che tu ci faccia quello che ti chiederemo".
36 He said to them, 'What is it you want me to do for you?'	36 Domandò loro: "Cosa volete che vi faccia?".
37 They said to him, 'Al ow us to sit one at your right hand and the other at your left in your glory.'	37 Gli risposero: "Concedici di sedere uno alla tua destra e uno alla tua sinistra nella tua gloria".
38 But Jesus said to them, 'You do not know what you are asking. Can you drink the cup that I shaldrink, or be baptised with the baptism with which I shal be baptised?'	38 Gesù disse loro: "Non sapete ciò che chiedete! Potete voi bere il calice che io bevo o essere battezzati con il battesimo con il quale io sono battezzato?".
39 They replied, 'We can.' Jesus said to them, 'The cup that I shal drink you shal drink, and with thebaptism with which I shal be baptised you shal be baptised,	39 Gli risposero: "Lo possiamo". Gesù disse loro: "Il calice che io bevo lo berrete e anche con il battesimo con cui io sono battezzato sarete battezzati;
40 but as for seats at my right hand or my left, these are not mine to grant; they belong to those to whomthey have been al otted.'	40 ma sedere alla mia destra o alla mia sinistra non sta a me concederlo, ma è per quelli per i quali è stato preparato".
41 When the other ten heard this they began to feel indignant with James and John,	41 Udito ciò, gli altri dieci cominciarono a indignarsi contro Giacomo e Giovanni.
42 so Jesus cal ed them to him and said to them, 'You know that among the gentiles those they cal theirrulers lord it over them, and their great men make their authority felt.	42 Ma Gesù, chiamatili a sé, disse loro: "Voi sapete come coloro i quali sono ritenuti capi delle nazioni le tiranneggiano, e come i loro prìncipi le opprimono.
43 Among you this is not to happen. No; anyone who wants to become great among you must be yourservant,	43 Non così dev'essere tra voi; ma piuttosto, se uno tra voi vuole essere grande, sia vostro servo,
44 and anyone who wants to be first among you must be slave to all.	44 e chi tra voi vuole essere primo, sia schiavo di tutti.
45 For the Son of man himself came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom formany.'	45 Infatti il Figlio dell'uomo non è venuto per essere servito, ma per servire e per dare la propria vita in riscatto per molti".
46 They reached Jericho; and as he left Jericho with his disciples and a great crowd, Bartimaeus -- thatis, the son of Timaeus -- a blind beggar, was sitting at the side of the road.	46 Giungono così a Gerico. Mentre egli con i discepoli e una grande folla stava uscendo da Gerico, il figlio di Timèo, Bartimèo, che era cieco, se ne stava seduto lungo la strada a mendicare.
47 When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout and cry out, 'Son of David, Jesus,have pity on me.'	47 Avendo inteso che c'era Gesù Nazareno, incominciò a gridare dicendo: "Gesù, Figlio di Davide, abbi pietà di me!".
48 And many of them scolded him and told him to keep quiet, but he only shouted al the louder, 'Son ofDavid, have pity on me.'	48 Molti presero a sgridarlo affinché tacesse; ma egli gridava ancora più forte: "Figlio di Davide, abbi pietà di me!".
49 Jesus stopped and said, 'Cal him here.' So they cal ed the blind man over. 'Courage,' they said, 'getup; he is calling you.'	49 Allora Gesù, fermatosi, disse: "Chiamatelo!". Chiamano il cieco e gli dicono: "Coraggio, àlzati! Ti chiama".
50 So throwing off his cloak, he jumped up and went to Jesus.	50 Egli, gettato via il mantello, balzò in piedi e raggiunse Gesù.
51 Then Jesus spoke, 'What do you want me to do for you?' The blind man said to him, 'Rabbuni, let mesee again.'	51 Rivolgendogli la parola, Gesù gli domandò: "Che cosa vuoi che ti faccia?". Gli rispose il cieco: "Signore, che io veda!".
52 Jesus said to him, 'Go; your faith has saved you.' And at once his sight returned and he fol owed himalong the road.	52 Allora Gesù gli disse: "Va'! La tua fede ti ha salvato". E subito egli ci vide e si mise a seguirlo per la via.
