Matthew 6

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 'Be careful not to parade your uprightness in public to attract attention; otherwise you wil lose al rewardfrom your Father in heaven.	1 احترزوا من ان تصنعوا صدقتكم قدام الناس لكي ينظروكم. والا فليس لكم اجر عند ابيكم الذي في السموات.
2 So when you give alms, do not have it trumpeted before you; this is what the hypocrites do in thesynagogues and in the streets to win human admiration. In truth I tel you, they have had their reward.	2 فمتى صنعت صدقة فلا تصوت قدامك بالبوق كما يفعل المراؤون في المجامع وفي الازقة لكي يمجّدوا من الناس. الحق اقول لكم انهم قد استوفوا اجرهم.
3 But when you give alms, your left hand must not know what your right is doing;	3 واما انت فمتى صنعت صدقة فلا تعرف شمالك ما تفعل يمينك.
4 your almsgiving must be secret, and your Father who sees al that is done in secret wil reward you.	4 لكي تكون صدقتك في الخفاء. فابوك الذي يرى في الخفاء هو يجازيك علانية
5 'And when you pray, do not imitate the hypocrites: they love to say their prayers standing up in thesynagogues and at the street corners for people to see them. In truth I tel you, they have had their reward.	5 ومتى صلّيت فلا تكن كالمرائين. فانهم يحبون ان يصلّوا قائمين في المجامع وفي زوايا الشوارع لكي يظهروا للناس. الحق اقول لكم انهم قد استوفوا اجرهم.
6 But when you pray, go to your private room, shut yourself in, and so pray to your Father who is in thatsecret place, and your Father who sees al that is done in secret wil reward you.	6 واما انت فمتى صلّيت فادخل الى مخدعك واغلق بابك وصلّ الى ابيك الذي في الخفاء. فابوك الذي يرى في الخفاء يجازيك علانية.
7 'In your prayers do not babble as the gentiles do, for they think that by using many words they wil makethemselves heard.	7 وحينما تصلّون لا تكرروا الكلام باطلا كالامم. فانهم يظنون انه بكثرة كلامهم يستجاب لهم.
8 Do not be like them; your Father knows what you need before you ask him.	8 فلا تتشبهوا بهم. لان اباكم يعلم ما تحتاجون اليه قبل ان تسألوه
9 So you should pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be held holy,	9 فصلّوا انتم هكذا. ابانا الذي في السموات. ليتقدس اسمك.
10 your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven.	10 ليأت ملكوتك. لتكن مشيئتك كما في السماء كذلك على الارض.
11 Give us today our daily bread.	11 خبزنا كفافنا اعطنا اليوم.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we have forgiven those who are in debt to us.	12 واغفر لنا ذنوبنا كما نغفر نحن ايضا للمذنبين الينا.
13 And do not put us to the test, but save us from the Evil One.	13 ولا تدخلنا في تجربة. لكن نجنا من الشرير. لان لك الملك والقوة والمجد الى الابد. آمين.
14 'Yes, if you forgive others their failings, your heavenly Father wil forgive you yours;	14 فانه ان غفرتم للناس زلاتهم يغفر لكم ايضا ابوكم السماوي.
15 but if you do not forgive others, your Father wil not forgive your failings either.	15 وان لم تغفروا للناس زلاتهم لا يغفر لكم ابوكم ايضا زلاتكم
16 'When you are fasting, do not put on a gloomy look as the hypocrites do: they go about lookingunsightly to let people know they are fasting. In truth I tel you, they have had their reward.	16 ومتى صمتم فلا تكونوا عابسين كالمرائين. فانهم يغيرون وجوههم لكي يظهروا للناس صائمين. الحق اقول لكم انهم قد استوفوا اجرهم.
17 But when you fast, put scent on your head and wash your face,	17 واما انت فمتى صمت فادهن راسك واغسل وجهك.
18 so that no one will know you are fasting except your Father who sees al that is done in secret; andyour Father who sees al that is done in secret wil reward you.	18 لكي لا تظهر للناس صائما بل لابيك الذي في الخفاء. فابوك الذي يرى في الخفاء يجازيك علانية
19 'Do not store up treasures for yourselves on earth, where moth and woodworm destroy them andthieves can break in and steal.	19 لا تكنزوا لكم كنوزا على الارض حيث يفسد السوس والصدأ وحيث ينقب السارقون ويسرقون.
20 But store up treasures for yourselves in heaven, where neither moth nor woodworm destroys them andthieves cannot break in and steal.	20 بل اكنزوا لكم كنوزا في السماء حيث لا يفسد سوس ولا صدأ وحيث لا ينقب سارقون ولا يسرقون.
21 For wherever your treasure is, there wil your heart be too.	21 لانه حيث يكون كنزك هناك يكون قلبك ايضا.
22 'The lamp of the body is the eye. It follows that if your eye is clear, your whole body will be fil ed withlight.	22 سراج الجسد هو العين. فان كانت عينك بسيطة فجسدك كله يكون نيرا.
23 But if your eye is diseased, your whole body will be darkness. If then, the light inside you is darkened,what darkness that wil be!	23 وان كانت عينك شريرة فجسدك كله يكون مظلما. فان كان النور الذي فيك ظلاما فالظلام كم يكون
24 'No one can be the slave of two masters: he will either hate the first and love the second, or beattached to the first and despise the second. You cannot be the slave both of God and of money.	24 لا يقدر احد ان يخدم سيدين. لانه اما ان يبغض الواحد ويحب الآخر او يلازم الواحد ويحتقر الآخر. لا تقدرون ان تخدموا الله والمال.
25 'That is why I am tel ing you not to worry about your life and what you are to eat, nor about your bodyand what you are to wear. Surely life is more than food, and the body more than clothing!	25 لذلك اقول لكم لا تهتموا لحياتكم بما تاكلون وبما تشربون. ولا لاجسادكم بما تلبسون. أليست الحياة افضل من الطعام والجسد افضل من اللباس.
26 Look at the birds in the sky. They do not sow or reap or gather into barns; yet your heavenly Fatherfeeds them. Are you not worth much more than they are?	26 انظروا الى طيور السماء. انها لا تزرع ولا تحصد ولا تجمع الى مخازن. وابوكم السماوي يقوتها. ألستم انتم بالحري افضل منها.
27 Can any of you, however much you worry, add one single cubit to your span of life?	27 ومن منكم اذا اهتم يقدر ان يزيد على قامته ذراعا واحدة.
28 And why worry about clothing? Think of the flowers growing in the fields; they never have to work orspin;	28 ولماذا تهتمون باللباس. تأملوا زنابق الحقل كيف تنمو. لا تتعب ولا تغزل.
29 yet I assure you that not even Solomon in al his royal robes was clothed like one of these.	29 ولكن اقول لكم انه ولا سليمان في كل مجده كان يلبس كواحدة منها.
30 Now if that is how God clothes the wild flowers growing in the field which are there today and throwninto the furnace tomorrow, wil he not much more look after you, you who have so little faith?	30 فان كان عشب الحقل الذي يوجد اليوم ويطرح غدا في التنور يلبسه الله هكذا أفليس بالحري جدا يلبسكم انتم يا قليلي الايمان.
31 So do not worry; do not say, "What are we to eat? What are we to drink? What are we to wear?"	31 فلا تهتموا قائلين ماذا نأكل او ماذا نشرب او ماذا نلبس.
32 It is the gentiles who set their hearts on al these things. Your heavenly Father knows you need themal .	32 فان هذه كلها تطلبها الامم. لان اباكم السماوي يعلم انكم تحتاجون الى هذه كلها.
33 Set your hearts on his kingdom first, and on God's saving justice, and al these other things wil begiven you as wel .	33 لكن اطلبوا اولا ملكوت الله وبره وهذه كلها تزاد لكم.
34 So do not worry about tomorrow: tomorrow wil take care of itself. Each day has enough trouble of itsown.'	34 فلا تهتموا للغد. لان الغد يهتم بما لنفسه. يكفي اليوم شره
