Zechariah 8

NEW JERUSALEM	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 The word of Yahweh Sabaoth came as fol ows:	1 A palavra do Senhor foi-me de novo dirigida nestes termos:
2 Yahweh Sabaoth says this: I have been burning with jealousy for Zion, with furious jealousy for hersake.	2 Eis o que diz o Senhor dos exércitos: consumo-me de ardente amor por Sião; estou animado em favor dela de uma violenta cólera.
3 Yahweh says this: I am coming back to Zion and shal live in the heart of Jerusalem. Jerusalem wil becal ed Faithful City and the mountain of Yahweh Sabaoth, the Holy Mountain.	3 Assim fala o Senhor: eis que volto a Sião, venho residir em Jerusalém. Jerusalém chamar-se-á a cidade-fidelidade, e a montanha de Sião, a montanha-santidade.
4 Yahweh Sabaoth says this: Aged men and women once again wil sit in the squares of Jerusalem, eachwith a stick to lean on because of their great age.	4 Eis o que diz o Senhor dos exércitos: ver-se-ão ainda velhos e velhas sentados nas praças de Jerusalém, tendo cada um na mão o seu bastão.
5 And the squares of the city wil be full of boys and girls playing there.	5 As praças da cidade regorgitarão de meninos e meninas que brincarão nas suas praças.
6 Yahweh Sabaoth says this: If this seems a miracle to the remnant of this people (in those days), wil itseem one to me? declares Yahweh.	6 Eis o que diz o Senhor dos exércitos: se isso parecer um milagre aos olhos dos sobreviventes desse povo, naqueles dias, acaso será impossível aos meus olhos? - oráculo do Senhor dos exércitos.
7 Yahweh Sabaoth says this: Look, I shal rescue my people from the countries of the east and from thecountries of the west.	7 Eis o que diz o Senhor dos exércitos: vou libertar o meu povo, tirá-lo das terras do Levante e do Poente
8 I shal bring them back to live in the heart of Jerusalem, and they will be my people and I shal be theirGod, faithful and just.	8 e conduzi-lo a Jerusalém, onde habitará; será o meu povo e eu serei o seu Deus na fidelidade e na justiça.
9 'Yahweh Sabaoth says this, "Take heart, you who today hear these promises uttered by the prophetssince the day when the foundations of the Temple of Yahweh Sabaoth were laid, that the sanctuary wouldindeed be rebuilt.	9 Eis o que diz o Senhor dos exércitos: confortem-se vossas mãos, vós todos que agora ouvis os oráculos pronunciados pela boca dos profetas, e que datam da época em que foram lançados os fundamentos para a reconstrução do templo.
10 For up to now, men were not paid their wages and nothing was paid for the animals either; and it hasnot been safe for anyone to come and go, because of the enemy, since I had set each one against everyoneelse.	10 Até o presente, não havia salário para o trabalho dos homens, nem dos animais, e não existia segurança alguma contra o inimigo para aquele que cuidava de seus afazeres; eu tinha deixado todos os homens uns contra os outros.
11 But from now on, I shal not treat the remnant of this people as I have treated them in time past --declares Yahweh Sabaoth.	11 Mas agora não quero tratar os sobreviventes deste povo como nos dias de outrora - oráculo do Senhor dos exércitos.
12 Now they wil sow in peace; the vine will give its fruit, the soil wil give its produce and heaven will giveits dew. I shal bestow al these on the remnant of this people.	12 Farei com que tudo prospere: a vinha dará a sua uva e a terra, os seus frutos; o céu derramará o seu orvalho, e darei aos sobreviventes deste povo a posse de todos esses bens.
13 Just as once you were a curse among the nations, House of Judah and House of Israel, so now I shalsave you, and you wil be a blessing. Do not be afraid. Take heart!"	13 Fostes um objeto de maldição entre as nações, ó casas de Judá e de Israel! Mas vou libertar-vos, e sereis uma bênção.
14 'For Yahweh Sabaoth says this, "Just as I resolved to ill-treat you when your ancestors provoked me toanger and did not relent -- says Yahweh Sabaoth-	14 Eis o que diz o Senhor dos exércitos: eu decidira fazer-vos mal quando vossos pais excitaram a minha cólera - diz o Senhor dos exércitos - e não voltei atrás!
15 so now I have changed my mind and intend to treat Jerusalem and the House of Judah well. Do not beafraid!	15 Assim, resolvo agora fazer o bem a Jerusalém e à casa de Judá. Não temais.
16 "These are the things that you must do. Speak the truth to one another; at your gates, administer fairjudgement conducive to peace;	16 Eis o que deveis fazer: falai a verdade uns aos outros; julgai às portas de vossas cidades segundo a justiça e a sinceridade.
17 do not secretly plot evil against one another; do not love perjury; since I hate al this -- Yahwehdeclares." '	17 Não maquineis o mal em vossos corações contra o próximo; não jureis falso, porque aborreço tudo isso - oráculo do Senhor.
18 The word of Yahweh Sabaoth was addressed to me as fol ows:	18 A palavra do Senhor dos exércitos foi-me dirigida nestes termos:
19 'Yahweh Sabaoth says this, "The fast of the fourth month, the fast of the fifth, the fast of the seventhand the fast of the tenth are to become glad, joyful, happy festivals for the House of Judah. So love truth andpeace!" '	19 eis o que diz o Senhor, dos exércitos: o jejum do sexto mês como também os do quinto e do nono serão doravante para Judá dias de regozijo e de alegria, dias de festa.
20 'Yahweh Sabaoth says this, "In the future, peoples and citizens of many cities wil come;	20 Eis o que diz o Senhor dos exércitos: virão ainda muitos povos e habitantes de grandes cidades:
21 and citizens of one city wil go to the next and say: We must certainly go to entreat Yahweh's favourand seek out Yahweh Sabaoth; I am going myself.	21 os habitantes de uma cidade convidarão os habitantes de outra, dizendo: Vamos e roguemos ao Senhor! Busquemos o Senhor dos exércitos! - Também eu irei. -
22 Yes, many peoples and great nations will seek out Yahweh Sabaoth in Jerusalem and entreatYahweh's favour."	22 Virão muitos povos e poderosas nações buscar o Senhor dos exércitos em Jerusalém, e implorar a face do Senhor.
23 'Yahweh Sabaoth says this, "In those days, ten men from nations of every language will take a Jew bythe sleeve and say: We want to go with you, since we have learnt that God is with you." '	23 Eis o que diz o Senhor dos exércitos: naquele dia dez homens de todas as línguas das nações tomarão um judeu pela orla de seu manto, e dirão: queremos ir convosco, porque soubemos que Deus está convosco.
