Zechariah 8

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 The word of Yahweh Sabaoth came as fol ows:	1 Fue dirigida la palabra de Yahveh en estos términos:
2 Yahweh Sabaoth says this: I have been burning with jealousy for Zion, with furious jealousy for hersake.	2 Así dice Yahveh Sebaot: Con gran celo he celado a Sión, con gran ira la he celado.
3 Yahweh says this: I am coming back to Zion and shal live in the heart of Jerusalem. Jerusalem wil becal ed Faithful City and the mountain of Yahweh Sabaoth, the Holy Mountain.	3 Así dice Yahveh: Me he vuelto a Sión, y en medio de Jerusalén habito. Jerusalén se llamará Ciudad-de-Fidelidad, y el monte de Yahveh Sebaot, Monte-de-Santidad.
4 Yahweh Sabaoth says this: Aged men and women once again wil sit in the squares of Jerusalem, eachwith a stick to lean on because of their great age.	4 Así dice Yahveh Sebaot: Aún se sentarán viejos y viejas en las plazas de Jerusalén, cada cual con su bastón en la mano, por ser muchos sus días;
5 And the squares of the city wil be full of boys and girls playing there.	5 las plazas de la ciudad se llenarán de muchachos y muchachas en sus plazas jugando.
6 Yahweh Sabaoth says this: If this seems a miracle to the remnant of this people (in those days), wil itseem one to me? declares Yahweh.	6 Así dice Yahveh Sebaot: Si ello parece imposible a los ojos del Resto de este pueblo, en aquellos días, ¿también a mis ojos va a ser imposible?, oráculo de Yahveh Sebaot.
7 Yahweh Sabaoth says this: Look, I shal rescue my people from the countries of the east and from thecountries of the west.	7 Así dice Yahveh Sebaot: He aquí que yo salvo a mi pueblo del país del oriente y del país donde se pone el sol;
8 I shal bring them back to live in the heart of Jerusalem, and they will be my people and I shal be theirGod, faithful and just.	8 voy a traerlos para que moren en medio de Jerusalén. Y serán mi pueblo y yo seré su Dios con fidelidad y con justicia.
9 'Yahweh Sabaoth says this, "Take heart, you who today hear these promises uttered by the prophetssince the day when the foundations of the Temple of Yahweh Sabaoth were laid, that the sanctuary wouldindeed be rebuilt.	9 Así dice Yahveh Sebaot: Reafírmense vuestras manos, vosotros que oís en estos días esas palabras de la boca de los profetas, desde el día en que se echaron los cimientos de la Casa de Yahveh Sebaot, para la reconstrucción del Templo.
10 For up to now, men were not paid their wages and nothing was paid for the animals either; and it hasnot been safe for anyone to come and go, because of the enemy, since I had set each one against everyoneelse.	10 Porque hasta estos días no había paga para los hombres ni paga para el ganado; paz ninguna había, a causa del enemigo, para el que salía y entraba, y yo había dado rienda suelta a todos los hombres unos contra otros.
11 But from now on, I shal not treat the remnant of this people as I have treated them in time past --declares Yahweh Sabaoth.	11 Pero ahora ya no soy yo para el Resto de este pueblo como en días pasados, oráculo de Yahveh Sebaot.
12 Now they wil sow in peace; the vine will give its fruit, the soil wil give its produce and heaven will giveits dew. I shal bestow al these on the remnant of this people.	12 Porque hay simiente de paz: la vid dará su fruto, la tierra dará su producto y los cielos darán su rocío; yo daré en posesión al Resto de este pueblo todas estas cosas.
13 Just as once you were a curse among the nations, House of Judah and House of Israel, so now I shalsave you, and you wil be a blessing. Do not be afraid. Take heart!"	13 Y sucederá que así como habéis sido maldición entre las naciones, casa de Judá y casa de Israel, así os salvaré yo, y seréis bendición; ¡no tengáis miedo, y que se reafirmen vuestras manos!
14 'For Yahweh Sabaoth says this, "Just as I resolved to ill-treat you when your ancestors provoked me toanger and did not relent -- says Yahweh Sabaoth-	14 Pues así dice Yahveh Sebaot: Como yo había decidido haceros mal, cuando me irritaron vuestros padres - dice Yahveh Sebaot - y no me arrepentí de ello,
15 so now I have changed my mind and intend to treat Jerusalem and the House of Judah well. Do not beafraid!	15 así en cambio he decidido en estos días hacer bien a Jerusalén y a la casa de Judá: ¡no temáis!
16 "These are the things that you must do. Speak the truth to one another; at your gates, administer fairjudgement conducive to peace;	16 He aquí las cosas que debéis hacer: Decid verdad unos a otros; juicio de paz juzgad en vuestras puertas;
17 do not secretly plot evil against one another; do not love perjury; since I hate al this -- Yahwehdeclares." '	17 mal unos contra otros no meditéis en vuestro corazón, y juramento falso no améis, porque todas estas cosas las odio yo, oráculo de Yahveh.
18 The word of Yahweh Sabaoth was addressed to me as fol ows:	18 La palabra de Yahveh me fue dirigida en estos términos:
19 'Yahweh Sabaoth says this, "The fast of the fourth month, the fast of the fifth, the fast of the seventhand the fast of the tenth are to become glad, joyful, happy festivals for the House of Judah. So love truth andpeace!" '	19 «Así dice Yahveh Sebaot: El ayuno del cuarto mes, el ayuno del quinto, el ayuno del séptimo y el ayuno del décimo se convertirán para la casa de Judá en regocijo, alegría y faustas solemnidades. Amad, pues, la verdad y la paz».
20 'Yahweh Sabaoth says this, "In the future, peoples and citizens of many cities wil come;	20 Así dice Yahveh Sebaot: Todavía habrá pueblos que vengan, y habitantes de grandes ciudades.
21 and citizens of one city wil go to the next and say: We must certainly go to entreat Yahweh's favourand seek out Yahweh Sabaoth; I am going myself.	21 Y los habitantes de una ciudad irán a la otra diciendo: «Ea, vamos a ablandar el rostro de Yahveh y a buscar a Yahveh Sebaot: ¡yo también voy!»
22 Yes, many peoples and great nations will seek out Yahweh Sabaoth in Jerusalem and entreatYahweh's favour."	22 Y vendrán pueblos numerosos y naciones poderosas a buscar a Yahveh Sebaot en Jerusalén, y a ablandar el rostro de Yahveh.
23 'Yahweh Sabaoth says this, "In those days, ten men from nations of every language will take a Jew bythe sleeve and say: We want to go with you, since we have learnt that God is with you." '	23 Así dice Yahveh Sebaot: En aquellos días, diez hombres de todas las lenguas de las naciones asirán por la orla del manto a un judío diciendo: «Queremos ir con vosotros, porque hemos oído decir que Dios está con vosotros».
