Zechariah 13

1 'When that day comes, a fountain will be opened for the House of David and the inhabitants ofJerusalem, to wash sin and impurity away.	1 In quel giorno saravvi una fontana aperta per la casa di David, e per gli abitatori di Gerusalemme per lavanda del peccatore, e della donna immonda.
2 'When that day comes -- Yahweh declares -- I shall cut off the names of the idols from the country, and they will never be remembered again; I shal also rid the country of the prophets, and of the spirit of impurity.	2 E in quel giorno (dice il Signore degli eserciti) io sterminerò dalla terra i nomi degl'idoli, e non se ne avrà più memoria, e leverò dalla terra i falsi profeti, e lo spirito immondo.
3 Then, if anyone still goes on prophesying, his parents, his own father and mother wil say to him, "Youshall not live, since you utter lies in Yahweh's name." And even while he is prophesying, his parents, his ownfather and mother wil pierce him through.	3 E se alcuno ancora profeterà, diranno a lui suo padre, e sua madre, che lo generarono: Tu morrai, perchè nel nome del Signore spacci menzogne; e lo trafigeranno il suo padre, e la sua madre, che lo han generato, quando egli profeterà.
4 When that day comes, the prophets wil al be ashamed to relate their visions when they prophesy andno longer put on their hair cloaks with intent to deceive.	4 E in quel giorno rimarranno svergognati i profeti, ciascuno dalla sua propria visione quando profeteranno, e non si copriranno di sacco per dire delle bugie;
5 Instead, they wil say, "I am no prophet. I am a man who til s the soil, for the land has been my livingsince I was a boy."	5 Ma ognuno di essi dirà: Io non sono profeta, sono un contadino: Adamo è stato il mio modello fin dalla mia adolescenza.
6 And if anyone asks him, "What are those gashes on your chest?" he wil reply, "I got them when I was with my friends." '	6 E dirassi a lui: Che son elleno queste piaghe nel mezzo delle tue mani? Èd egli dirà: Queste mi sono state fatte nella casa di coloro, che mi amavano.
7 Awake, sword, against my shepherd, against the man who is close to me- declares Yahweh Sabaoth!Strike the shepherd, scatter the sheep! And I shal turn my hand against the young!	7 O spada, esci dal fodero contro il mio pastore, e contro l'uomo unito con me, dice il Signore degli eserciti: percuoti il pastore, e le pecorelle della greggia saran disperse, ed io stenderò a' piccoli la mia mano.
8 So it wil be, throughout the country- declares Yahweh Sabaoth- two-thirds in it wil be cut off (be kil ed)and the other third wil be left.	8 E avverrà, che in tutta la terra, dice il Signore, due parti saran disperse, e periranno; e la terza parte vi rimarrà.
9 I shall pass this third through the fire, refine them as silver is refined, test them as gold is tested. Hewil cal on my name and I shal answer him; I shal say, 'He is my people,' and he will say, 'Yahweh is my God!'	9 E farò passare questa terza parte pel fuoco, e li brucerò, come si brucia l'argento, e li proverò, come provasi l'oro. Eglino invocheranno il nome mio, ed io gli esaudirò. Io dirò: Popol mio: ed ei dirà: Signore Dio mio.
