Zechariah 10

NEW JERUSALEM	LXX
1 Ask Yahweh for rain in autumn and at the time of the spring rains. Yahweh is the one to make thestorm-clouds. He wil give them showers of rain; to each, grass in his field.	1 αιτεισθε υετον παρα κυριου καθ' ωραν προιμον και οψιμον κυριος εποιησεν φαντασιας και υετον χειμερινον δωσει αυτοις εκαστω βοτανην εν αγρω
2 Since the domestic idols have talked nonsense, and the diviners have seen false signs, and dreamshave purveyed delusions, affording empty comfort, that is why they have strayed like sheep, in distress for wantof a shepherd.	2 διοτι οι αποφθεγγομενοι ελαλησαν κοπους και οι μαντεις ορασεις ψευδεις και τα ενυπνια ψευδη ελαλουν ματαια παρεκαλουν δια τουτο εξηρθησαν ως προβατα και εκακωθησαν διοτι ουκ ην ιασις
3 My anger has been roused by the shepherds, and I shal vent it on the he-goats. When YahwehSabaoth comes to visit his flock, the House of Judah, he wil make it his royal war-horse.	3 επι τους ποιμενας παρωξυνθη ο θυμος μου και επι τους αμνους επισκεψομαι και επισκεψεται κυριος ο θεος ο παντοκρατωρ το ποιμνιον αυτου τον οικον ιουδα και ταξει αυτους ως ιππον ευπρεπη αυτου εν πολεμω
4 From it wil emerge Cornerstone and Tent-peg, from it, Bow-ready-for-Battle, from it, every type ofleader. Together	4 και εξ αυτου επεβλεψεν και εξ αυτου εταξεν και εξ αυτου τοξον εν θυμω εξ αυτου εξελευσεται πας ο εξελαυνων εν τω αυτω
5 they wil be like warriors trampling the dirt of the streets in battle; when they fight, because Yahweh iswith them, they wil put mounted men to rout.	5 και εσονται ως μαχηται πατουντες πηλον εν ταις οδοις εν πολεμω και παραταξονται διοτι κυριος μετ' αυτων και καταισχυνθησονται αναβαται ιππων
6 Then I shal make the House of Judah mighty and the House of Joseph victorious. I shal restore them,because I have taken pity on them, and they wil be as though I had never cast them off, for I am Yahweh theirGod and shal answer their prayer.	6 και κατισχυσω τον οικον ιουδα και τον οικον ιωσηφ σωσω και κατοικιω αυτους οτι ηγαπησα αυτους και εσονται ον τροπον ουκ απεστρεψαμην αυτους διοτι εγω κυριος ο θεος αυτων και επακουσομαι αυτοις
7 Ephraim will be like a warrior. Their hearts will be cheered as though by wine. Their children wil seethis and rejoice, their hearts wil exult in Yahweh.	7 και εσονται ως μαχηται του εφραιμ και χαρησεται η καρδια αυτων ως εν οινω και τα τεκνα αυτων οψονται και ευφρανθησονται και χαρειται η καρδια αυτων επι τω κυριω
8 I shall whistle to them and gather them in, for I have redeemed them; they will be as numerous as theyused to be.	8 σημανω αυτοις και εισδεξομαι αυτους διοτι λυτρωσομαι αυτους και πληθυνθησονται καθοτι ησαν πολλοι
9 I shall scatter them among the peoples but in distant countries they will remember me, they wil instructtheir children and then return.	9 και σπερω αυτους εν λαοις και οι μακραν μνησθησονται μου εκθρεψουσιν τα τεκνα αυτων και επιστρεψουσιν
10 I shal bring them home from Egypt and gather them back from Assyria; I shal lead them into Gileadand the Lebanon, and even that wil not be large enough for them.	10 και επιστρεψω αυτους εκ γης αιγυπτου και εξ ασσυριων εισδεξομαι αυτους και εις την γαλααδιτιν και εις τον λιβανον εισαξω αυτους και ου μη υπολειφθη εξ αυτων ουδε εις
11 They wil cross the sea of Egypt (and the waves of the sea wil be struck); al the depths of the Riverwil be dried up. The arrogance of Assyria wil be cast down and the sceptre of Egypt taken away.	11 και διελευσονται εν θαλασση στενη και παταξουσιν εν θαλασση κυματα και ξηρανθησεται παντα τα βαθη ποταμων και αφαιρεθησεται πασα υβρις ασσυριων και σκηπτρον αιγυπτου περιαιρεθησεται
12 I shal make them mighty in Yahweh, and they wil march in my name -- Yahweh declares.	12 και κατισχυσω αυτους εν κυριω θεω αυτων και εν τω ονοματι αυτου κατακαυχησονται λεγει κυριος
