Zechariah 10

NEW JERUSALEM	DIODATI
1 Ask Yahweh for rain in autumn and at the time of the spring rains. Yahweh is the one to make thestorm-clouds. He wil give them showers of rain; to each, grass in his field.	1 DOMANDATE al Signore la pioggia nel tempo della stagione della ricolta; il Signore manderà lampi, e darà loro nembi di pioggia, ed a ciascuno dell’erba nel suo campo.
2 Since the domestic idols have talked nonsense, and the diviners have seen false signs, and dreamshave purveyed delusions, affording empty comfort, that is why they have strayed like sheep, in distress for wantof a shepherd.	2 Conciossiachè gl’idoli abbian detta menzogna, e gl’indovini abbian vedute visioni di falsità, e i sognatori abbian detta vanità, ed abbian date vane consolazioni; perciò il popolo se n’è andato qua e là, a guisa di pecore, ed è stato oppressato; perciocchè non vi era alcun pastore.
3 My anger has been roused by the shepherds, and I shal vent it on the he-goats. When YahwehSabaoth comes to visit his flock, the House of Judah, he wil make it his royal war-horse.	3 La mia ira si è accesa contro a quei pastori, ed io ho fatta punizione sopra i becchi. Dopo che il Signor degli eserciti ha visitata la sua mandra, la casa di Giuda, egli li ha fatti essere come il suo cavallo di gloria, nella guerra.
4 From it wil emerge Cornerstone and Tent-peg, from it, Bow-ready-for-Battle, from it, every type ofleader. Together	4 Da lui è il cantone, da lui il chiodo, da lui l’arco della guerra; da lui parimente procede ogni oppressore
5 they wil be like warriors trampling the dirt of the streets in battle; when they fight, because Yahweh iswith them, they wil put mounted men to rout.	5 E saranno simili ad uomini prodi, calpestanti nella battaglia i nemici, come il fango delle strade; e combatteranno, perciocchè il Signore sarà con loro; e quelli che saran montati sopra cavalli saranno confusi.
6 Then I shal make the House of Judah mighty and the House of Joseph victorious. I shal restore them,because I have taken pity on them, and they wil be as though I had never cast them off, for I am Yahweh theirGod and shal answer their prayer.	6 Ed io fortificherò la casa di Giuda, e salverò la casa di Giuseppe, e li ricondurrò in casa loro; perciocchè io avrò pietà di loro; e saranno come se io non li avessi mai scacciati lontano; perciocchè io sono il Signore Iddio loro, e li esaudirò.
7 Ephraim will be like a warrior. Their hearts will be cheered as though by wine. Their children wil seethis and rejoice, their hearts wil exult in Yahweh.	7 E que’ di Efraim saranno come un uomo prode, e il cuor loro si rallegrerà, come per lo vino; e i lor figliuoli lo vedranno, e si rallegreranno; il cuor loro festeggerà nel Signore.
8 I shall whistle to them and gather them in, for I have redeemed them; they will be as numerous as theyused to be.	8 Io fischierò loro, e li raccoglierò, quando li avrò riscattati; e moltiplicheranno, come già moltiplicarono.
9 I shall scatter them among the peoples but in distant countries they will remember me, they wil instructtheir children and then return.	9 E dopo che io li avrò seminati fra i popoli, si ricorderanno di me in paesi lontani; e viveranno co’ lor figliuoli, e se ne ritorneranno.
10 I shal bring them home from Egypt and gather them back from Assyria; I shal lead them into Gileadand the Lebanon, and even that wil not be large enough for them.	10 Ed io li ricondurrò dal paese di Egitto, e li raccoglierò di Assiria, e li menerò nel paese di Galaad, e nel Libano; e quello non basterà loro.
11 They wil cross the sea of Egypt (and the waves of the sea wil be struck); al the depths of the Riverwil be dried up. The arrogance of Assyria wil be cast down and the sceptre of Egypt taken away.	11 Ed egli passerà per lo stretto del mare, e percoterà le onde nel mare, e tutte le profondità del fiume saran seccate; e l’alterezza di Assur sarà abbattuta, e lo scettro di Egitto sarà tolto via.
12 I shal make them mighty in Yahweh, and they wil march in my name -- Yahweh declares.	12 Ed io lo fortificherò nel Signore, ed essi cammineranno nel suo Nome, dice il Signore
