NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 In the second year of King Darius, on the first day of the sixth month, the word of Yahweh wasaddressed through the prophet Haggai to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel governor of Judah and to Joshua son ofJehozadak the high priest as fol ows,	1 Dáriusz király második esztendejében, a hatodik hónapban, a hónap első napján az Úr a következő szózatot intézte Aggeus próféta által Zerubbábelhez, Salátiel fiához, Júda helytartójához, és Józsuéhoz, Joszedek fiához, a főpaphoz:
2 'Yahweh Sabaoth says this, "This people says: The time has not yet come to rebuild the Temple ofYahweh." '	2 »Ezt üzeni a Seregek Ura: Ez a nép azt mondja: ‘Nem jött el még az idő az Úr házának felépítésére!’«
3 (And the word of Yahweh was addressed through the prophet Haggai, as follows,)	3 Erre ezt mondta az Úr Aggeus próféta által:
4 'Is this a time for you to live in your panel ed houses, when this House lies in ruins?	4 »Annak bezzeg itt van már az ideje, hogy ti mennyezetes házakban lakjatok, holott ez a ház még romokban hever?
5 So now, Yahweh Sabaoth says this, "Think careful y about your behaviour.	5 Nos tehát így szól a Seregek Ura: Fontoljátok csak meg sorsotokat!
6 You have sown much and harvested little; you eat but never have enough, drink but never have yourfill, put on clothes but feel no warmth. The wage-earner gets his wages only to put them in a bag with a hole init."	6 Sokat vetettetek, de keveset takarítottatok be; ettetek, de jól nem laktatok; ittatok, de meg nem részegültetek; öltözködtetek, de föl nem melegedtetek; és aki összegyűjtötte bérét, lyukas erszénybe rakta.
7 Yahweh Sabaoth says this, "Think careful y about your behaviour.	7 Így szól a Seregek Ura: Fontoljátok meg sorsotokat!
8 Go up into the hills, fetch timber and rebuild the House; and I shal take pleasure in it and manifest myglory there -- Yahweh says.	8 Menjetek fel a hegyre, hozzatok fát és építsétek fel a templomot, hogy kedvemet és dicsőségemet találjam benne – mondja az Úr. –
9 The abundance you expected proved to be little. When you brought the harvest in, I blasted it. Andwhy? - Yahweh Sabaoth declares. Because while my House lies in ruins, each of you is busy with his ownhouse.	9 Sokra számítottatok, de íme, kevés lett; hazavittétek a termést, de én elfújtam. Miért? – mondja a Seregek Ura. – Azért, mert az én házam romokban hever, közületek pedig mindenki a maga házába siet.
10 That is why the sky has withheld the rain and the earth withheld its yield.	10 Ezért tiltottam meg fölöttetek az egeknek, hogy harmatot adjanak, és ezért tiltottam meg a földnek, hogy megadja termését.
11 I have cal ed down drought on land and hil s, on grain, on new wine, on olive oil and on al the produceof the ground, on humans and animals and al your labours." '	11 Ezért hívtam szárazságot a földre és a hegyekre, a búzára és a borra, az olajra és mindarra, amit a föld terem, és az emberekre és az állatokra, és a kezek minden munkájára.«
12 Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, Joshua son of Jehozadak the high priest and the entire remnant of thepeople, paid attention to the voice of Yahweh their God and to the words of the prophet Haggai, which Yahwehtheir God had sent him to deliver. And the people were fil ed with fear before Yahweh.	12 Zerubbábel, Salátiel fia, és Józsue, Joszedek fia, a főpap és az egész nép hallgatott is az Úrnak, Istenüknek szavára és Aggeus próféta beszédére, amint őt az Úr, az ő Istenük hozzájuk küldte; és félni kezdett a nép az Úrtól.
13 Haggai, the messenger of Yahweh, then passed on Yahweh's message to the people, 'I am with you-- declares Yahweh.'	13 De Aggeus, az Úr követe az Úr megbízásából így szólt a néphez: »Én veletek vagyok« – mondja az Úr.
14 And Yahweh roused the spirit of Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel governor of Judah, the spirit of Joshuason of Jehozadak the high priest and the spirit of the entire remnant of the people; they came and set to work inthe Temple of Yahweh Sabaoth, their God.	14 És az Úr felkeltette Zerubbábelnek, Salátiel fiának, Júda helytartójának buzgóságát, és Józsuénak, Joszedek fiának, a főpapnak buzgóságát, és az egész nép buzgóságát, és elkezdték a munkát a Seregek Urának, Istenüknek házában.
