Micah 5

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA TINTORI
1 But you (Bethlehem) Ephrathah, the least of the clans of Judah, from you will come for me a future rulerof Israel whose origins go back to the distant past, to the days of old.	1 Ed ora, o figlia del ladrone, sarai desolata: ci hanno assediati; rolla verga percuoteranno la guancia del giudice d'Israele.
2 Hence Yahweh will abandon them only until she who is in labour gives birth, and then those who surviveof his race wil be reunited to the Israelites.	2 E tu, Betlem Efrata, tu sei piccola fra le mille di Giuda; ma da te mi uscirà colui che dev'esere dominatore in Israele: la generazione di lui è da principio, dai giorni dell'eternità.
3 He wil take his stand and he wil shepherd them with the power of Yahweh, with the majesty of thename of his God, and they wil be secure, for his greatness wil extend henceforth to the most distant parts of thecountry.	3 Per questo li darà in balìa fino al tempo nel quale Colei che deve partorire partorirà; e il resto dei suoi fratelli si riunirà ai figli d'Israele.
4 He himself wil be peace! Should the Assyrian invade our country, should he set foot in our land, weshall raise seven shepherds against him, eight leaders of men;	4 Egli starà forte e pascerà il gregge colla fortezza del Signore, colla maestà del nome del Signore Dio suo. A lui si convertiranno, chè fin da ora sarà glorificato, fino agli ultimi confini del mondo.
5 they wil shepherd Assyria with the sword, the country of Nimrod with naked blade. He will save us fromthe Assyrian, should he invade our country, should he set foot inside our frontiers.	5 Egli sarà la pace. Quando l'Assiro sarà venuto nella nostra terra ed avrà calpestato le nostre case, noi susciteremo contro di lui sette pastori e otto principi.
6 Then what is left of Jacob, surrounded by many peoples, wil be like a dew from Yahweh, like showerson the grass, which do not depend on human agency and are beyond human control.	6 Ed essi governeranno la terra d'Assur colla spada ed il paese di Nemrod colle sue lance, ed egli ci libererà dall'Assiro, quando sarà venuto nella nostra terra ed avrà calpestato il nostro territorio.
7 Then what is left of Jacob, surrounded by many peoples, wil be like a lion among the forest beasts, like a fierce lion among flocks of sheep trampling as he goes, mangling his prey which no one takes from him.	7 E gli avanzi di Giacobbe saranno in mezzo alla moltitudine dei popoli come rugiada che viene dal Signore, come gocce di pioggia sull'erba, la quale non aspetta l'uomo, e nulla aspetta dai figli degli uomini.
8 You wil be victorious over your foes and al your enemies will be torn to pieces.	8 E gli avanzi di Giacobbe saranno tra le nazioni, in mezzo alla moltitudine dei popoli, come il leone in mezzo alle bestie della foresta, come il leoncello tra greggi di pecore, il quale passa, calpesta, porta via, senza che ci sia chi ritoglie.
9 When that day comes- declares Yahweh- I shal tear your horses away from you, I shal destroy yourchariots;	9 La tua mano sarà esaltata so­pra i tuoi avversari, e tutti i tuoi nemici saranno sterminati.
10 I shall tear the cities from your country, I shal overthrow all your fortresses;	10 In quel giorno — dice il Si­gnore — io torrò di mezzo a te i tuoi cavalli, e distruggerò i tuoi cocchi;
11 I shall tear the spells out of your hands and you wil have no more soothsayers;	11 e rovinerò le città della tua terra, e atterrerò tutte le tue fortezze, e toglierò dalla tua ma­no i malefìci, e tu non avrai più indovini.
12 I shall tear away your images and your sacred pillars from among you, and no longer wil you worshipthings which your own hands have made!	12 E farò sparire di mez­zo a te i tuoi idoli e le tue statue, e non adorerai più le opere delle tue mani.
13 I shall uproot your sacred poles and shal destroy your cities!	13 E sbarberò di mezzo a te i tuoi boschetti, e distrug­gerò del tutto le tue città.
14 In furious anger I shal wreak vengeance on the nations who have disobeyed me!	14 E agirò con furore e indignazione, per vendicarmi di tutte le nazio­ni che non mi hanno ascoltato.
