Micah 5

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 But you (Bethlehem) Ephrathah, the least of the clans of Judah, from you will come for me a future rulerof Israel whose origins go back to the distant past, to the days of old.	1 Mas tú, Belén Efratá, aunque eres la menor entre las familias de Judá, de ti me ha de salir aquel que ha de dominar en Israel, y cuyos orígenes son de antigüedad, desde los días de antaño.
2 Hence Yahweh will abandon them only until she who is in labour gives birth, and then those who surviveof his race wil be reunited to the Israelites.	2 Por eso él los abandonará hasta el tiempo en que dé a luz la que ha de dar a luz. Entonces el resto de sus hermanos volverá a los hijos de Israel.
3 He wil take his stand and he wil shepherd them with the power of Yahweh, with the majesty of thename of his God, and they wil be secure, for his greatness wil extend henceforth to the most distant parts of thecountry.	3 El se alzará y pastoreará con el poder de Yahveh, con la majestad del nombre de Yahveh su Dios. Se asentarán bien, porque entonces se hará él grande hasta los confines de la tierra.
4 He himself wil be peace! Should the Assyrian invade our country, should he set foot in our land, weshall raise seven shepherds against him, eight leaders of men;	4 El será la Paz. Si Asur invade nuestra tierra, y huella nuestro suelo, suscitaremos contra él siete pastores, y ocho príncipes de hombres.
5 they wil shepherd Assyria with the sword, the country of Nimrod with naked blade. He will save us fromthe Assyrian, should he invade our country, should he set foot inside our frontiers.	5 Ellos pastorearán el país de Asur con espada, y el país de Nemrod con acero. El nos librará de Asur, si invade nuestra tierra, y huella nuestro término.
6 Then what is left of Jacob, surrounded by many peoples, wil be like a dew from Yahweh, like showerson the grass, which do not depend on human agency and are beyond human control.	6 Y será el Resto de Jacob, en medio de pueblos numerosos, como rocío que viene de Yahveh, como lluvia sobre la hierba, él, que no espera en el hombre ni aguarda nada de los hijos de hombre.
7 Then what is left of Jacob, surrounded by many peoples, wil be like a lion among the forest beasts, like a fierce lion among flocks of sheep trampling as he goes, mangling his prey which no one takes from him.	7 Será entonces el Resto de Jacob entre las naciones, en medio de pueblos numerosos, como león entre las bestias de la selva, como leoncillo entre los rebaños de ganado menor, que si pasa, pisotea, y si desgarra, no hay quien libre.
8 You wil be victorious over your foes and al your enemies will be torn to pieces.	8 ¡Que tu mano se alce contra los adversarios y todos tus enemigos sean extirpados!
9 When that day comes- declares Yahweh- I shal tear your horses away from you, I shal destroy yourchariots;	9 Y sucederá aquel día - oráculo de Yahveh - que yo extirparé de en medio de ti tus caballos, y haré desaparecer tus carros;
10 I shall tear the cities from your country, I shal overthrow all your fortresses;	10 extirparé las ciudades de tu tierra, y demoleré todas tus fortalezas;
11 I shall tear the spells out of your hands and you wil have no more soothsayers;	11 extirparé de tu mano las hechicerías, y no habrá para ti más adivinos;
12 I shall tear away your images and your sacred pillars from among you, and no longer wil you worshipthings which your own hands have made!	12 extirparé tus estatuas y tus estelas de en medio de ti, y ya no podrás postrarte más ante la obra de tus manos,
13 I shall uproot your sacred poles and shal destroy your cities!	13 arrancaré de en medio de ti tus cipos y aniquilaré tus ídolos.
14 In furious anger I shal wreak vengeance on the nations who have disobeyed me!	14 ¡Venganza tomaré con cólera y furor de las naciones que no escucharon!
