Micah 5

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA RICCIOTTI
1 But you (Bethlehem) Ephrathah, the least of the clans of Judah, from you will come for me a future rulerof Israel whose origins go back to the distant past, to the days of old.	1 - Ma per adesso sarai devastata, o figlia d'un popolo ladro; già hanno posto contro di noi l'assedio, e percoteranno colla verga la guancia del giudice d'Israele.
2 Hence Yahweh will abandon them only until she who is in labour gives birth, and then those who surviveof his race wil be reunited to the Israelites.	2 E tu, o Betleem Efrata, sei piccola tra le migliaia di Giuda; ma da te mi uscirà colui che sarà dominatore in Israele, e la sua origine è dal principio dei giorni dell'eternità.
3 He wil take his stand and he wil shepherd them with the power of Yahweh, with the majesty of thename of his God, and they wil be secure, for his greatness wil extend henceforth to the most distant parts of thecountry.	3 Perciò il Signore li darà in balìa altrui, sino al tempo in cui colei che deve partorire partorirà, e i suoi fratelli superstiti torneranno ai figli d'Israele.
4 He himself wil be peace! Should the Assyrian invade our country, should he set foot in our land, weshall raise seven shepherds against him, eight leaders of men;	4 Egli si stabilirà e pascerà il gregge in virtù della potestà del Signore, nel nome augusto del Signore Dio suo, e si convertiranno, perchè verrà ora che si renderà grande fino agli ultimi confini della terra. E questi sarà la pace.
5 they wil shepherd Assyria with the sword, the country of Nimrod with naked blade. He will save us fromthe Assyrian, should he invade our country, should he set foot inside our frontiers.	5 Quando l'Assiro vorrà entrare nel nostro paese e quando vorrà calcare le nostre dimore, noi faremo sorgere contro di lui sette pastori e otto uomini preclari;
6 Then what is left of Jacob, surrounded by many peoples, wil be like a dew from Yahweh, like showerson the grass, which do not depend on human agency and are beyond human control.	6 e daranno la terra di Assur in pascolo della spada, e il paese di Nembrod in pascolo delle loro lance; egli ci scamperà da Assur quando vorrà venire nel nostro paese e mettere piede nei nostri confini.
7 Then what is left of Jacob, surrounded by many peoples, wil be like a lion among the forest beasts, like a fierce lion among flocks of sheep trampling as he goes, mangling his prey which no one takes from him.	7 E i superstiti di Giacobbe in mezzo ai popoli numerosi saranno come rugiada che viene dal Signore, come stille sull'erba che non aspettano l'opera dell'uomo e non attendono l'intervento umano.
8 You wil be victorious over your foes and al your enemies will be torn to pieces.	8 E quelli di Giacobbe rimasti tra le genti saranno, in mezzo a molti popoli, come un leone tra le bestie della selva e come un leoncello in un gregge di pecore, che trascorre, assalta, azzanna senza alcuno che ritolga.
9 When that day comes- declares Yahweh- I shal tear your horses away from you, I shal destroy yourchariots;	9 La tua mano si alzerà sopra i tuoi avversari e periranno tutti i tuoi nemici.
10 I shall tear the cities from your country, I shal overthrow all your fortresses;	10 - E avverrà in quel giorno, dice il Signore, che io toglierò via i cavalli che sono in mezzo a te e disperderò i tuoi carri;
11 I shall tear the spells out of your hands and you wil have no more soothsayers;	11 e rovinerò le città del tuo paese e demolirò tutte le tue fortezze; e strapperò dalle tue mani i tuoi incantesimi, e fattucchierie non vi saranno più in te.
12 I shall tear away your images and your sacred pillars from among you, and no longer wil you worshipthings which your own hands have made!	12 Manderò in frantumi tutti i tuoi simulacri e le statue che sono in mezzo a te, e non adorerai più le opere delle tue mani.
13 I shall uproot your sacred poles and shal destroy your cities!	13 Estirperò di mezzo a te i tuoi boschi e abbatterò le tue città,
14 In furious anger I shal wreak vengeance on the nations who have disobeyed me!	14 e nella mia collera e nel mio sdegno farò vendetta di tutte le genti che non hanno dato ascolto. -
