NEW JERUSALEM	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses, in the desert of Sinai, in the second year after the exodus from Egypt, in thefirst month, and said:	1 No primeiro mês, do segundo ano após a saída do Egito, o Senhor falou a Moisés no deserto do Sinai.
2 'The Israelites must keep the Passover at its appointed time.	2 Disse-lhe: "Celebrem os israelitas a Páscoa no tempo fixado.
3 The fourteenth day of this month, at twilight, is the time appointed for you to keep it. You wil keep itwith all the laws and customs proper to it.'	3 Vós a celebrareis no décimo quarto dia deste mês, conforme foi marcado, entre as duas tardes, e fareis essa festa segundo todas as leis e prescrições que lhes são próprias."
4 Moses told the Israelites to keep the Passover.	4 Moisés mandou que os israelitas celebrassem a Páscoa.
5 They kept it, in the desert of Sinai, in the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, at twilight.The Israelites did everything as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	5 Celebraram-na no décimo quarto dia do primeiro mês, entre as duas tardes, no deserto do Sinai. Os israelitas fizeram tudo o que o Senhor tinha ordenado a Moisés.
6 It happened that some men had become unclean by touching a dead body; they could not keep thePassover that day. They came the same day to Moses and Aaron,	6 Ora, alguns homens, não podendo fazer a Páscoa naquele dia, pois se tinham manchado tocando num cadáver, apresentaram-se a Moisés e Aarão naquele dia,
7 and said, 'We have become unclean by touching a dead body. Why should we be excluded frombringing an offering to Yahweh at the proper time with the rest of the Israelites?'	7 e disseram-lhe: "Estamos impuros, porque tocamos num cadáver; vamos por isso ser privados de apresentar com os outros israelitas a oferta do Senhor no dia fixado?
8 Moses replied, 'Wait here until I hear what order Yahweh gives about you.'	8 "Esperai, respondeu Moisés, vou consultar o Senhor, para saber o que ordena a vosso respeito".
9 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,	9 Então o Senhor disse a Moisés:
10 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "Any of you or your descendants who becomes unclean by touchinga dead body, or is away on a long journey, can stil keep a Passover for Yahweh.	10 "Dize aos israelitas o seguinte: se um de vós ou de vossos descendentes estiver impuro por haver tocado num morto, ou se achar em viagem longe de vós, não deixará de celebrar a Páscoa em honra do Senhor.
11 Such persons wil keep it in the second month, on the fourteenth day, at twilight. They wil eat it withunleavened bread and bitter herbs;	11 Eles a celebrarão aos catorze dias do segundo mês, entre as duas tardes; e comê-la-ão com pães sem fermento e ervas amargas.
12 nothing of it must be left over until morning, nor wil they break any of its bones. They wil keep it,fol owing the entire Passover ritual.	12 Nada deixarão dela para o dia seguinte, não quebrarão nenhum dos seus ossos, e farão essa festa segundo todas as prescrições relativas à Páscoa.
13 But anyone who is clean, or who is not on a journey, but fails to keep the Passover, such a personwil be outlawed from his people. For not having brought the offering to Yahweh at its appointed time, the personwil bear the consequences of the sin.	13 Mas se alguém, estando puro, não se encontrar em viagem, e todavia não fizer a Páscoa, será cortado do seu povo, porque não apresentou a oferta do Senhor no tempo estabelecido; este levará a pena do seu pecado.
14 "A resident alien who keeps a Passover for Yahweh, wil keep it in accordance with the ritual andcustoms of the Passover. You will have one law for alien and citizen alike." '	14 Se o estrangeiro que mora no meio de vós fizer a Páscoa do Senhor, terá de se conformar às leis e às prescrições relativas à Páscoa. Haverá uma só lei, que será a mesma para vós, para o estrangeiro e para o natural."
15 On the day the Dwel ing was erected, the cloud covered the Dwelling, the Tent of the Testimony.From nightfall until morning it remained over the Dwel ing looking like fire.	15 No dia em que o tabernáculo foi levantado, a nuvem o cobriu. E sobre o tabernáculo, isto é, na tenda do testemunho, desde a tarde até pela manhã, apareceu como uma espécie de fogo.
16 So the cloud covered it all the time, and at night it looked like fire.	16 Assim acontecia continuamente: a nuvem cobria o tabernáculo e à noite assemelhava-se ao fogo.
17 Whenever the cloud rose from the Tent, the Israelites broke camp, and wherever the cloud halted,there the Israelites pitched camp.	17 Quando se levantava a nuvem sobre a tenda, os israelitas punham-se em marcha; no lugar onde a nuvem parava, aí acampavam.
18 At Yahweh's order, the Israelites set out and, at Yahweh's order, the Israelites pitched camp. Theyremained in camp for as long as the cloud rested on the Dwel ing.	18 À ordem do Senhor levantavam o acampamento, e à sua ordem o assentavam de novo; e ficavam no acampamento enquanto a nuvem permanecesse sobre o tabernáculo.
19 If the cloud stayed for many days on the Dwelling, the Israelites performed their duty to Yahweh anddid not set out.	19 Mesmo quando ela se detinha muito tempo sobre ele, os israelitas não partiam, e aguardavam a ordem do Senhor.
20 But if the cloud happened to stay for only a few days on the Dwel ing, just as they had pitched campat Yahweh's order, at Yahweh's order they set out.	20 E se acontecia de a nuvem ficar poucos dias sobre o tabernáculo, então, à ordem do Senhor, permaneciam acampados e, à ordem do Senhor, se punham em marcha.
21 If the cloud happened to remain only from evening to morning, they set out when it lifted the nextmorning. Or, if it stayed for a whole day and night, they set out only when it lifted.	21 Se a nuvem se detinha desde a tarde até pela manhã, e chegada manhã se levantava, eles partiam; se depois de um dia e uma noite a nuvem se levantava, desmanchavam o acampamento.
22 Sometimes it stayed there for two days, a month, or a longer time; however long the cloud rested onthe Dwel ing, the Israelites remained in camp, and when it lifted they set out.	22 Mas se a nuvem se detinha sobre o tabernáculo vários dias, um mês ou mesmo um ano, os israelitas permaneciam acampados e não partiam; só partiam quando se levantava a nuvem.
23 At Yahweh's order they pitched camp, and at Yahweh's order they set out. They performed their dutyto Yahweh, as Yahweh had ordered through Moses.	23 Levantavam e desmanchavam o acampamento segundo a ordem do Senhor. E observavam o mandamento do Senhor, como este lhes tinha ordenado por Moisés.
