1 Yahweh spoke to Moses, in the desert of Sinai, in the second year after the exodus from Egypt, in thefirst month, and said:	1 - Il Signore parlò a Mosè nel deserto di Sinai, il mese primo del second'anno da che erano usciti dall'Egitto, e disse:
2 'The Israelites must keep the Passover at its appointed time.	2 «Facciano i figli d'Israele la Pasqua al suo tempo,
3 The fourteenth day of this month, at twilight, is the time appointed for you to keep it. You wil keep itwith all the laws and customs proper to it.'	3 il giorno quattordicesimo di questo mese, a sera, osservando tutte le sue cerimonie e prescrizioni».
4 Moses told the Israelites to keep the Passover.	4 Mosè dunque comandò ai figli d'Israele che celebrassero la Pasqua.
5 They kept it, in the desert of Sinai, in the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, at twilight.The Israelites did everything as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	5 Ed essi la celebrarono al suo tempo, la sera del quattordicesimo giorno del mese, sul monte Sinai. Conforme a tutto quello che il Signore aveva comandato a Mosè, così fecero i figli d'Israele.
6 It happened that some men had become unclean by touching a dead body; they could not keep thePassover that day. They came the same day to Moses and Aaron,	6 Ed ecco, alcuni i quali erano immondi per aver toccato un morto, e non potevano far la Pasqua in quel giorno, vennero a Mosè ed Aronne,
7 and said, 'We have become unclean by touching a dead body. Why should we be excluded frombringing an offering to Yahweh at the proper time with the rest of the Israelites?'	7 e dissero loro: «Noi siamo immondi per causa di un morto: perchè d'esser impedito a noi, tra i figli d'Israele, d'offrire al Signore l'oblazione al suo tempo?».
8 Moses replied, 'Wait here until I hear what order Yahweh gives about you.'	8 Ai quali Mosè rispose: «Aspettate che io consulti il Signore su ciò che ordinerà per voi».
9 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,	9 Ed il Signore parlò a Mosè, dicendo:
10 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "Any of you or your descendants who becomes unclean by touchinga dead body, or is away on a long journey, can stil keep a Passover for Yahweh.	10 «Dirai a' figli d'Israele: - Quegli che fosse immondo a causa d'un morto, o fosse in viaggio lontano dalla vostra nazione, farà la Pasqua del Signore
11 Such persons wil keep it in the second month, on the fourteenth day, at twilight. They wil eat it withunleavened bread and bitter herbs;	11 nel mese secondo, il quattordicesimo giorno, a sera. Là mangeranno con gli azzimi e con le lattughe selvatiche;
12 nothing of it must be left over until morning, nor wil they break any of its bones. They wil keep it,fol owing the entire Passover ritual.	12 non ne lasceranno alcun che per l'indomani, e non ne romperanno alcun osso; osserveranno tutto il rito pasquale.
13 But anyone who is clean, or who is not on a journey, but fails to keep the Passover, such a personwil be outlawed from his people. For not having brought the offering to Yahweh at its appointed time, the personwil bear the consequences of the sin.	13 Ma se uno è mondo, e non è in viaggio e tuttavia non avrà fatto la Pasqua, l'anima sua verrà sterminata di fra il suo popolo per non aver offerto al tempo dovuto il sacrifizio al Signore; porterà egli il [peso del] proprio peccato.
14 "A resident alien who keeps a Passover for Yahweh, wil keep it in accordance with the ritual andcustoms of the Passover. You will have one law for alien and citizen alike." '	14 Anche il pellegrino ed il forestiero che saranno presso di voi, immoleranno al Signore la Pasqua, secondo le sue cerimonie e prescrizioni. Sarà eguale presso di voi il precetto, tanto per il forestiero quanto per il cittadino -».
15 On the day the Dwel ing was erected, the cloud covered the Dwelling, the Tent of the Testimony.From nightfall until morning it remained over the Dwel ing looking like fire.	15 Il giorno dunque nel quale fu rizzato il tabernacolo, la nube lo ricoprì. Dalla sera poi sino alla mattina, era sul tabernacolo come una specie di fuoco.
16 So the cloud covered it all the time, and at night it looked like fire.	16 Così era sempre: il giorno lo ricopriva la nube; e la notte, quella specie di fuoco.
17 Whenever the cloud rose from the Tent, the Israelites broke camp, and wherever the cloud halted,there the Israelites pitched camp.	17 Quando la nube avvolgente il tabernacolo si moveva, allora i figli d'Israele partivano; nel luogo dove la nube si fermava, s'accampavano.
18 At Yahweh's order, the Israelites set out and, at Yahweh's order, the Israelites pitched camp. Theyremained in camp for as long as the cloud rested on the Dwel ing.	18 Al comando del Signore partivano, ed al comando di lui fermavano il tabernacolo. Per tutt'i giorni nei quali la nube stava ferma sul tabernacolo, rimanevano fermi nello stesso luogo;
19 If the cloud stayed for many days on the Dwelling, the Israelites performed their duty to Yahweh anddid not set out.	19 se avveniva che quella vi restasse sopra per molto tempo, i figli d'Israele erano come guardie agli ordini del Signore, e non partivano,
20 But if the cloud happened to stay for only a few days on the Dwel ing, just as they had pitched campat Yahweh's order, at Yahweh's order they set out.	20 per tutti que' giorni nei quali la nube restava sul tabernacolo. Al comando del Signore piantavan le tende, ed al suo comando le levavano.
21 If the cloud happened to remain only from evening to morning, they set out when it lifted the nextmorning. Or, if it stayed for a whole day and night, they set out only when it lifted.	21 Se la nube si fermava dalla sera alla mattina, e subito al far del giorno lasciava il tabernacolo, partivano; se si moveva dopo un giorno e una notte, disfacevano l'accampamento.
22 Sometimes it stayed there for two days, a month, or a longer time; however long the cloud rested onthe Dwel ing, the Israelites remained in camp, and when it lifted they set out.	22 Se stava sul tabernacolo per due giorni, o per un mese, o per più tempo, rimanevano i figli d'Israele in quel luogo, e non partivano; appena però quella si moveva, levavano il campo.
23 At Yahweh's order they pitched camp, and at Yahweh's order they set out. They performed their dutyto Yahweh, as Yahweh had ordered through Moses.	23 Alla parola del Signore fermavano le tende, ed alla sua parola si mettevano in cammino; erano come guardie del Signore, secondo gli ordini che aveva dato per mezzo di Mosè.
