NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses, in the desert of Sinai, in the second year after the exodus from Egypt, in thefirst month, and said:	1 Habló Yahveh a Moisés, en el desierto del Sinaí, el año segundo de la salida de Egipto, el mes primero, y le dijo:
2 'The Israelites must keep the Passover at its appointed time.	2 «Que los israelitas celebren la Pascua a su tiempo.
3 The fourteenth day of this month, at twilight, is the time appointed for you to keep it. You wil keep itwith all the laws and customs proper to it.'	3 La celebrarán el día catorce de este mes, entre dos luces, al tiempo debido. La celebrarán según todos sus preceptos y normas.»
4 Moses told the Israelites to keep the Passover.	4 Moisés dijo a los israelitas que celebraran la Pascua.
5 They kept it, in the desert of Sinai, in the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, at twilight.The Israelites did everything as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	5 La celebraron en el desierto del Sinaí, el primer mes, el día catorce del mes, entre dos luces. Según había mandado Yahveh a Moisés lo hicieron los israelitas.
6 It happened that some men had become unclean by touching a dead body; they could not keep thePassover that day. They came the same day to Moses and Aaron,	6 Pero sucedió que algunos hombres estaban impuros por contacto de cadáver humano y no podían celebrar la Pascua aquel día. Se presentaron a Moisés y Aarón el mismo día
7 and said, 'We have become unclean by touching a dead body. Why should we be excluded frombringing an offering to Yahweh at the proper time with the rest of the Israelites?'	7 y les dijeron: «Estamos impuros por contacto de cadáver humano. ¿Por qué hemos de quedar excluidos de presentar la ofrenda a Yahveh a su tiempo con los demás israelitas?»
8 Moses replied, 'Wait here until I hear what order Yahweh gives about you.'	8 Moisés les respondió: «Esperad, que voy a consultar lo que os manda Yahveh.»
9 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,	9 Yahveh habló a Moisés y le dijo:
10 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "Any of you or your descendants who becomes unclean by touchinga dead body, or is away on a long journey, can stil keep a Passover for Yahweh.	10 «Diles a los israelitas: Si uno de vosotros o de vuestros descendientes está impuro por cadáver, o está de viaje en tierra lejana, también celebrará la Pascua en honor de Yahveh.
11 Such persons wil keep it in the second month, on the fourteenth day, at twilight. They wil eat it withunleavened bread and bitter herbs;	11 La celebrarán el mes segundo, el día catorce, entre dos luces. La comerán con panes ázimos y hierbas amargas.
12 nothing of it must be left over until morning, nor wil they break any of its bones. They wil keep it,fol owing the entire Passover ritual.	12 No dejarán nada para la mañana, ni le quebrantarán ningún hueso. Según todo el ritual de la Pascua la celebrarán.
13 But anyone who is clean, or who is not on a journey, but fails to keep the Passover, such a personwil be outlawed from his people. For not having brought the offering to Yahweh at its appointed time, the personwil bear the consequences of the sin.	13 Pero el que, encontrándose puro y no habiendo estado de viaje, deje de celebrar la Pascua, ese tal será extirpado de su pueblo. Ese hombre cargará con su pecado, por no haber presentado la ofrenda a Yahveh a su tiempo.
14 "A resident alien who keeps a Passover for Yahweh, wil keep it in accordance with the ritual andcustoms of the Passover. You will have one law for alien and citizen alike." '	14 Y si un forastero reside entre vosotros y celebra la Pascua en honor de Yahveh, la celebrará según los preceptos y normas de la Pascua. Uno mismo será el ritual para vosotros, tanto para el forastero como para el nativo del país.»
15 On the day the Dwel ing was erected, the cloud covered the Dwelling, the Tent of the Testimony.From nightfall until morning it remained over the Dwel ing looking like fire.	15 El día en que se erigió la Morada, la Nube cubrió la Morada, la Tienda del Testimonio. Por la tarde se quedaba sobre la Morada, con aspecto de fuego, hasta la mañana.
16 So the cloud covered it all the time, and at night it looked like fire.	16 Así sucedía permanentemente: la Nube la cubría y por la noche tenía aspecto de fuego.
17 Whenever the cloud rose from the Tent, the Israelites broke camp, and wherever the cloud halted,there the Israelites pitched camp.	17 Cuando se levantaba la Nube de encima de la Tienda, los israelitas levantaban el campamento, y en el lugar en que se paraba la Nube, acampaban los israelitas.
18 At Yahweh's order, the Israelites set out and, at Yahweh's order, the Israelites pitched camp. Theyremained in camp for as long as the cloud rested on the Dwel ing.	18 A la orden de Yahveh partían los israelitas y a la orden de Yahveh acampaban. Quedaban acampados todos los días que la Nube estaba parada sobre la Morada.
19 If the cloud stayed for many days on the Dwelling, the Israelites performed their duty to Yahweh anddid not set out.	19 Si se detenía la Nube muchos días sobre la Morada, los israelitas cumplían con el culto de Yahveh y no partían.
20 But if the cloud happened to stay for only a few days on the Dwel ing, just as they had pitched campat Yahweh's order, at Yahweh's order they set out.	20 En cambio, si la Nube estaba sobre la Morada pocos días, a la orden de Yahveh acampaban y a la orden de Yahveh partían.
21 If the cloud happened to remain only from evening to morning, they set out when it lifted the nextmorning. Or, if it stayed for a whole day and night, they set out only when it lifted.	21 Si la Nube estaba sobre la Morada sólo de la noche a la mañana, y por la mañana se alzaba, ellos partían. Si estaba un día y una noche y luego se elevaba, partían.
22 Sometimes it stayed there for two days, a month, or a longer time; however long the cloud rested onthe Dwel ing, the Israelites remained in camp, and when it lifted they set out.	22 Si, en cambio, se detenía sobre la Morada dos días, o un mes, o un año, reposando sobre ella, los israelitas se quedaban en el campamento y no partían; pero en cuanto se elevaba, partían.
23 At Yahweh's order they pitched camp, and at Yahweh's order they set out. They performed their dutyto Yahweh, as Yahweh had ordered through Moses.	23 A la orden de Yahveh acampaban y a la orden de Yahveh movían el campamento. Rendían culto a Yahveh, según la orden de Yahveh transmitida por Moisés.
