Amos 3

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 Listen, Israelites, to this prophecy which Yahweh pronounces against you, against the whole familywhich I brought up from Egypt:	1 اسمعوا هذا القول الذي تكلم به الرب عليكم يا بني اسرائيل على كل القبيلة التي اصعدتها من ارض مصر قائلا
2 You alone have I intimately known of all the families of earth, that is why I shal punish you for al yourwrong-doings.	2 اياكم فقط عرفت من جميع قبائل الارض لذلك اعاقبكم على جميع ذنوبكم
3 Do two people travel together unless they have agreed to do so?	3 هل يسير اثنان معا ان لم يتواعدا.
4 Does the lion roar in the forest if it has no prey? Does the young lion growl in his lair if it has caughtnothing?	4 هل يزمجر الاسد في الوعر وليس له فريسة. هل يعطي شبل الاسد زئيره من خدره ان لم يخطف.
5 Does a bird fall on the ground in a net unless a trap has been set for it? Will the net spring up from theground without catching something?	5 هل يسقط عصفور في فخ الارض وليس له شرك. هل يرفع فخ عن الارض وهو لم يمسك شيئا.
6 Does the trumpet sound in the city without the people being alarmed? Does misfortune come to a city ifYahweh has not caused it?	6 ام يضرب بالبوق في مدينة والشعب لا يرتعد. هل تحدث بلية في مدينة والرب لم يصنعها.
7 No indeed, Lord Yahweh does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.	7 ان السيد الرب لا يصنع امرا الا وهو يعلن سرّه لعبيده الانبياء.
8 The lion roars: who is not afraid? Lord Yahweh has spoken: who will not prophesy?	8 الاسد قد زمجر فمن لا يخاف. السيد الرب قد تكلم فمن لا يتنبأ
9 From the palace roofs of Assyria and from the palace roofs of Egypt, proclaim aloud, 'Assemble on thehil s of Samaria and observe the grave disorders inside her and the acts of oppression there!'	9 نادوا على القصور في اشدود وعلى القصور في ارض مصر وقولوا اجتمعوا على جبال السامرة وانظروا شغبا عظيما في وسطها ومظالم في داخلها.
10 Little they know of right conduct -declares Yahweh- who cram their palaces with violence andextortion.	10 فانهم لا يعرفون ان يصنعوا الاستقامة يقول الرب. اولئك الذين يخزنون الظلم والاغتصاب في قصورهم.
11 This is why -- Lord Yahweh says this- an enemy will soon besiege the land, he wil bring down yourstrength and your palaces wil be looted.	11 لذلك هكذا قال السيد الرب. ضيق حتى في كل ناحية من الارض فينزل عنك عزك وتنهب قصورك
12 Yahweh says this: As the shepherd rescues two legs or the tip of an ear from the lion's mouth, so wilthe children of Israel be salvaged who now lol in Samaria in the corners of their beds, on their divans ofDamascus.	12 هكذا قال الرب. كما ينزع الراعي من فم الاسد كراعين او قطعة اذن هكذا ينتزع بنو اسرائيل الجالسون في السامرة في زاوية السرير وعلى دمقس الفراش.
13 Listen and testify against the House of Jacob -declares the Lord Yahweh, God Sabaoth-	13 اسمعوا واشهدوا على بيت يعقوب يقول السيد الرب اله الجنود
14 the day when I punish Israel for his crimes I shal also punish the altars of Bethel; the horns of thealtar wil be hacked off and wil fal to the ground.	14 اني يوم معاقبتي اسرائيل على ذنوبه اعاقب مذابح بيت ايل فتقطع قرون المذبح وتسقط الى الارض.
15 I shall blast winter house with summer house, ivory houses wil be destroyed and many mansionscease to be -declares Yahweh.	15 واضرب بيت الشتاء مع بيت الصيف فتبيد بيوت العاج وتضمحل البيوت العظيمة يقول الرب
