Daniel 12

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 'At that time Michael wil arise -- the great Prince, defender of your people. That wil be a time of greatdistress, unparal eled since nations first came into existence. When that time comes, your own people wil bespared -- al those whose names are found written in the Book.	1 En aquel tiempo, se alzará Miguel, el gran Príncipe, que está de pie junto a los hijos de tu pueblo. Será un tiempo de tribulación, como no lo hubo jamás, desde que existe una nación hasta el tiempo presente. En aquel tiempo, será liberado tu pueblo: todo el que se encuentre inscrito en el Libro.
2 'Of those who are sleeping in the Land of Dust, many wil awaken, some to everlasting life, some toshame and everlasting disgrace.	2 Y muchos de los que duermen en el suelo polvoriento se despertarán, unos para la vida eterna, y otros para la ignominia, para el horror eterno.
3 Those who are wise wil shine as brightly as the expanse of the heavens, and those who haveinstructed many in uprightness, as bright as stars for al eternity.	3 Los hombres prudentes resplandecerán como el resplandor del firmamento, y los que hayan enseñado a muchos la justicia brillarán como las estrellas, por los siglos de los siglos.
4 'But you, Daniel, must keep these words secret and keep the book sealed until the time of the End.Many wil roam about, this way and that, and wickedness wil continue to increase.'	4 En cuanto a ti, Daniel, oculta estas palabras y sella el Libro hasta el tiempo del fin. Muchos buscarán aquí y allí, y aumentará el conocimiento.
5 I, Daniel, then looked and saw two other people standing, one on the near bank of the river, the otheron the far.	5 Yo, Daniel, miré y vi que otros dos hombres estaban de pie, uno en una orilla del río y otro en la orilla opuesta.
6 One of them said to the man dressed in linen who was standing further up the stream, 'How long untilthese wonders take place?'	6 Uno de ellos dijo al hombre vestido de lino que estaba sobre las aguas del río: «¿Para cuándo será el fin de estos prodigios?».
7 I heard the man speak who was dressed in linen, standing further up the stream: he raised his righthand and his left to heaven and swore by him who lives for ever, 'A time and two times, and half a time; and althese things wil come true, once the crushing of the holy people's power is over.'	7 Yo oí al hombre vestido de lino que estaba sobre las aguas del río. El alzó su mano derecha, y su mano izquierda hacia el cielo y juró por aquel que vive eternamente: «Pasará un tiempo, dos tiempos y la mitad de un tiempo; y cuando se haya acabado de aplastar la fuerza del pueblo santo, se acabarán también todas estas cosas».
8 I listened but did not understand. I then said, 'My lord, what is to be the outcome?'	8 Yo oí, pero no entendí. Entonces dije: «Señor mío, ¿cuál será la última de estas cosas?».
9 'Go, Daniel,' he said. 'These words are to remain secret and sealed until the time of the End.	9 El respondió: «Ve Daniel, porque estas palabras están ocultas y selladas hasta el tiempo final.
10 Many wil be cleansed, made white and purged; the wicked will persist in doing wrong; the wicked willnever understand; those who are wise wil understand.	10 Muchos serán purificados, blanqueados y acrisolados; los malvados harán el mal, y ningún malvado podrá comprender, pero los prudentes comprenderán.
11 From the moment that the perpetual sacrifice is abolished and the appal ing abomination set up: athousand two hundred and ninety days.	11 A partir del momento en que será abolido el sacrificio perpetuo y será instalada la Abominación de la desolación, pasarán mil doscientos noventa días.
12 Blessed is he who perseveres and attains a thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.	12 ¡Feliz el que sepa esperar y llegue a mil trescientos treinta y cinco días!
13 But you, go away and rest; and you wil rise for your reward at the end of time.'	13 En cuanto a ti, ve hacia el fin: tú descansarás y te levantarás para recibir tu suerte al fin de los días.
