Leviticus 5

1 ' "If someone sins in any of these fol owing cases: "He should have come forward to give evidence whenhe heard the formal adjuration, having seen the incident or known the facts; but he has not spoken out, and sobears the consequences of his guilt;	1 Quando una persona ha udito una formula di scongiuro e ne è testimone, perché l’ha visto o l’ha saputo, e pecca perché non dichiara nulla, porterà il peso della sua colpa;
2 "or someone touches something unclean, whatever it may be -- the dead body of an unclean animal,wild or tame, or of one of the unclean reptiles -- and without realising it becomes unclean, he becomesanswerable for it;	2 oppure quando qualcuno, senza avvedersene, tocca una cosa impura, come il cadavere di una bestia selvatica o il cadavere di un animale domestico o quello di un rettile, rimarrà egli stesso impuro e in condizione di colpa;
3 "or he touches some human uncleanness, whatever it may be, contact with which makes him unclean;he does not notice it, then, realising it later, he becomes answerable for it;	3 oppure quando, senza avvedersene, tocca un’impurità propria della persona umana – una qualunque delle cose per le quali l’uomo diviene impuro – quando verrà a saperlo, sarà in condizione di colpa;
4 "or someone lets slip an oath to do something either evil or good, in any of those matters on whichsomeone may let slip an oath; he does not notice it, then, realising it later, he becomes answerable for it;	4 oppure quando qualcuno, senza avvedersene, parlando con leggerezza, avrà giurato, con uno di quei giuramenti che gli uomini proferiscono alla leggera, di fare qualche cosa di male o di bene, quando se ne rende conto, sarà in condizione di colpa.
5 "if he is answerable in any of those cases, he wil have to confess the sin committed.	5 Quando sarà in condizione di colpa a causa di uno di questi fatti, dovrà confessare in che cosa ha peccato;
6 As a sacrifice of reparation for the sin committed, he wil bring Yahweh a female from the flock (sheep orgoat) as a sacrifice for sin; and the priest wil perform the rite of expiation for him to free him from his sin.	6 poi porterà al Signore, come riparazione del peccato commesso, una femmina del bestiame minuto, pecora o capra, per il sacrificio espiatorio; il sacerdote compirà in suo favore il rito espiatorio per il peccato.
7 "If he cannot afford an animal from the flock as a sacrifice of reparation for the sin he has committed, hewil bring Yahweh two turtledoves or two young pigeons -- one as a sacrifice for sin and the other as a burntoffering.	7 Se non ha mezzi per procurarsi una pecora o una capra, porterà al Signore, come riparazione per il peccato commesso, due tortore o due colombi: uno come sacrificio per il peccato, l’altro come olocausto.
8 He wil bring them to the priest who wil first offer the one intended for the sacrifice for sin. The priest wilwring its neck but not remove the head.	8 Li porterà al sacerdote, il quale offrirà prima quello destinato al sacrificio per il peccato: gli spaccherà la testa all’altezza della nuca, ma senza staccarla;
9 He wil sprinkle the side of the altar with the victim's blood, and then squeeze out the rest of the blood atthe foot of the altar. This is a sacrifice for sin.	9 poi spargerà un po’ del sangue della vittima offerta per il peccato sopra la parete dell’altare e farà colare il resto del sangue alla base dell’altare. È un sacrificio per il peccato.
10 He will then offer the other bird as a burnt offering according to the ritual. This is how the priest mustperform the rite of expiation for the person for the sin he has committed, and he will be forgiven.	10 Con l’altro uccello offrirà un olocausto, secondo le norme stabilite. Così il sacerdote compirà per lui il rito espiatorio per il peccato commesso e gli sarà perdonato.
11 "If he cannot afford two turtledoves or two young pigeons, he will bring a tenth of an ephah of wheatenflour as an offering for the sin committed; he must not mix oil with it or put incense on it, since this is a sacrificefor sin.	11 Ma se non ha mezzi per procurarsi due tortore o due colombi, porterà, come offerta per il peccato commesso, un decimo di efa di fior di farina, come sacrificio per il peccato; non vi metterà né olio né incenso, perché è un sacrificio per il peccato.
12 He will bring it to the priest, who wil take a handful of it as a memorial, and burn this on the altar inaddition to the offerings of food burnt for Yahweh. This is a sacrifice for sin.	12 Porterà la farina al sacerdote, che ne prenderà una manciata come suo memoriale, facendola bruciare sull’altare, in aggiunta alle vittime consumate dal fuoco in onore del Signore. È un sacrificio per il peccato.
13 This is how the priest must perform the rite of expiation for the person for the sin he has committed inany of those cases, and he wil be forgiven. In this case, the priest has the same rights as in the case of a cerealoffering." '	13 Così il sacerdote compirà per lui il rito espiatorio per il peccato commesso in uno dei casi suddetti e gli sarà perdonato. Il resto spetta al sacerdote, come nell’oblazione”».
14 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	14 Il Signore parlò a Mosè e disse:
15 'If someone is unfaithful and sins inadvertently by infringing Yahweh's sacred rights, as a sacrifice ofreparation he must bring Yahweh an unblemished ram from his flock, the value of which wil be decided by youin silver shekels according to the rate of the sanctuary-shekel.	15 «Se qualcuno commetterà un’infedeltà e peccherà per errore riguardo a cose consacrate al Signore, porterà al Signore, come sacrificio di riparazione, un ariete senza difetto, preso dal gregge, corrispondente al valore stabilito in sicli d’argento, conformi al siclo del santuario;
16 He will make amends for what his sin subtracted from the sacred rights, adding one-fifth to the value,and give it to the priest. The priest wil then perform the rite of expiation for him with the ram for the sacrifice ofreparation and he wil be forgiven.	16 risarcirà il danno fatto al santuario, aggiungendovi un quinto, e lo darà al sacerdote, il quale compirà per lui il rito espiatorio con l’ariete offerto come sacrificio di riparazione e gli sarà perdonato.
17 'If someone sins and without realising it does one of the things forbidden by Yahweh'scommandments, he will answer for it and bear the consequences of his guilt.	17 Quando qualcuno peccherà facendo, senza saperlo, una cosa vietata dal Signore, sarà comunque in condizione di colpa e ne porterà il peso.
18 As a sacrifice of reparation he must bring the priest an unblemished ram from his flock to the valuewhich you decide, and the priest wil perform the rite of expiation for him for the oversight unwittingly committed,and he wil be forgiven.	18 Porterà al sacerdote, come sacrificio di riparazione, un ariete senza difetto, preso dal bestiame minuto, corrispondente al valore stabilito; il sacerdote compirà per lui il rito espiatorio per l’errore commesso per ignoranza e gli sarà perdonato.
19 This is a sacrifice of reparation; the man was certainly answerable to Yahweh.'	19 È un sacrificio di riparazione; quell’individuo infatti si era messo in condizione di colpa verso il Signore».
20 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	20 Il Signore parlò a Mosè dicendo:
21 'If someone sins and is unfaithful against Yahweh by deceiving his fel ow-countryman over a deposit ora security, or by withholding something due to him or by exploiting him;	21 «Quando qualcuno peccherà e commetterà un’infedeltà verso il Signore, perché inganna il suo prossimo riguardo a depositi, a pegni o a oggetti rubati, oppure perché ricatta il suo prossimo,
22 'or if he finds lost property and denies it; 'or if he perjures himself about anything that a human beingmay do criminal y in such matters;	22 o perché, trovando una cosa smarrita, mente in proposito e giura il falso riguardo a una cosa in cui uno commette peccato,
23 'if he sins and so becomes answerable, he must restore what he has taken or demanded in excess:the deposit confided to him, the lost property that he has found,	23 se avrà così peccato, si troverà in condizione di colpa. Dovrà restituire la cosa rubata o ottenuta con ricatto o il deposito che gli era stato affidato o l’oggetto smarrito che aveva trovato
24 or any object about which he has perjured himself. He will add one-fifth to the principal and pay thewhole to the person who held the property rights on the day when he incurred the guilt.	24 o qualunque cosa per cui abbia giurato il falso. Farà la restituzione per intero, aggiungendovi un quinto, e renderà ciò al proprietario nel giorno in cui farà la riparazione.
25 He will then bring Yahweh an unblemished ram from his flock to the value which you decide, to thepriest as a sacrifice of reparation,	25 Come riparazione al Signore, porterà al sacerdote un ariete senza difetto, preso dal gregge, corrispondente al valore stabilito, per il sacrificio di riparazione.
26 and the priest wil perform the rite of expiation for him before Yahweh and he will be forgiven, whateverthe act by which he incurred guilt.'	26 Il sacerdote compirà per lui il rito espiatorio davanti al Signore e gli sarà perdonato, qualunque sia la mancanza di cui si è reso colpevole».
