Leviticus 22

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 Il Signore disse a Mosè:
2 'Speak to Aaron and his sons. They must be consecrated by the holy offerings of the Israelites andmust not profane my holy name; for my sake they must sanctify it; I am Yahweh.	2 "Ordina ad Aronne e ai suoi figli che si astengano dalle cose sante dei figli d'Israele e non profanino il mio santo nome in quelle cose che essi mi consacrano. Io sono il Signore.
3 Say to them: "Any one of your descendants, for al time, who in a state of uncleanness approaches theholy offerings consecrated to Yahweh by the Israelites, wil be outlawed from my presence. I am Yahweh.	3 Di' loro: Per tutte le vostre generazioni, chiunque fra la vostra discendenza si avvicini in stato d'impurità alle cose sacre che i figli d'Israele consacrano al Signore, sia eliminato dalla mia presenza. Io sono il Signore.
4 "Anyone of Aaron's line who is afflicted with a contagious skin-disease or a discharge will not eat holythings until he is clean. Anyone who touches anything made unclean by a dead body, or who has a seminaldischarge,	4 Nessuno della discendenza di Aronne, affetto da lebbra o da scolo, mangi delle cose sante fino a che non sia puro. Chi tocca qualsiasi cosa diventata impura a causa di un morto o di un uomo da cui sia uscito seme,
5 or who is made unclean by touching any kind of reptile or any one who has contaminated him with hisown uncleanness, be it what it may,	5 o abbia toccato un animale strisciante che lo rende impuro, o un uomo che gli comunichi un'impurità, di qualsiasi specie,
6 in short, anyone who has had any such contact wil be unclean until evening, and must not eat holythings until he has washed his body.	6 chiunque abbia avuto tali contatti è impuro fino a sera e non mangerà le cose sacre se non dopo essersi lavato il corpo con acqua.
7 At sunset he wil be clean and may then eat holy things, for these are his food.	7 Quando il sole sarà tramontato, sarà puro e potrà mangiare le cose sante, perché sono il suo cibo.
8 "He must not eat an animal that has died a natural death or been savaged; he would contractuncleanness from it. I am Yahweh.	8 Il sacerdote non mangerà bestie morte o sbranate, contraendone impurità. Io sono il Signore.
9 "They must keep my rules and not burden themselves with sin. If they profane them, they will incurdeath; I, Yahweh, have sanctified them.	9 I sacerdoti osservino tutte le mie disposizioni, così non porteranno il peso del peccato e non morranno per aver profanato le cose sante. Io sono il Signore che li santifica.
10 "No lay person may eat anything holy; no guest or employee of a priest may eat anything holy.	10 Nessun profano mangi quanto è sacro; né l'ospite del sacerdote né il salariato mangino quanto è sacro.
11 But if the priest has acquired a slave by purchase, the slave may eat it like anyone born in hishousehold; they will share his food.	11 Ma se il sacerdote acquista una persona con il suo denaro, questi ne potrà mangiare e anche colui che è nato in casa; essi mangiano del suo stesso cibo.
12 "If a priest's daughter marries a layman, she will have no share in the holy things set aside,	12 Se la figlia del sacerdote sposa un estraneo, non mangi delle offerte delle cose sante;
13 but if she is widowed or divorced and, being childless, has had to return to her father's house aswhen she was young, she may share her father's food. No lay person may share it;	13 ma se la figlia del sacerdote è vedova o ripudiata senza figli, e torna alla casa di suo padre, come nella sua fanciullezza, mangi il cibo di suo padre. Nessun profano ne mangi.
14 anyone who does eat a holy thing by inadvertence, wil restore it to the priest with one-fifth added.	14 Chi per inavvertenza abbia mangiato di quanto è sacro, aggiunga un quinto e restituisca al sacerdote la cosa sacra.
15 "They may not profane the holy offerings which the Israelites have set aside for Yahweh.	15 Non profanino le cose sante dei figli d'Israele, ciò che essi hanno prelevato per il Signore;
16 By eating these, they would burden them with guilt requiring a sacrifice of reparation; for I, Yahweh, have sanctified these offerings." '	16 si caricherebbero di un peccato che richiede riparazione. Io infatti sono il Signore che li santifica".
17 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	17 Il Signore disse a Mosè:
18 'Speak to Aaron, to his sons, and to al the Israelites and say: "Any member of the House of Israel orany alien resident in Israel who brings an offering either in payment of a vow or as a voluntary gift, and offers itas a burnt offering to Yahweh,	18 "Parla ad Aronne e ai suoi figli e a tutti i figli d'Israele e di' loro: Chiunque nella casa d'Israele o fra i residenti porti la sua offerta, sia voto o offerta spontanea da offrire al Signore in olocausto,
19 must, if he is to be acceptable, offer an unblemished male, be it bul or sheep or goat.	19 lo faccia in modo che essa sia gradita: senza difetto, maschio, bovino, ovino o capro.
20 You wil not offer anything with a blemish, for it would not make you acceptable.	20 Non offrano nulla che abbia un difetto, perché non sarebbe gradito.
21 "If anyone offers Yahweh a communion sacrifice, either to fulfil a vow or as a voluntary offering, theanimal, be it from the herd or flock, must be perfect, if he is to be acceptable; it must be unblemished.	21 Un uomo che offra un sacrificio di comunione al Signore per adempiere un voto o come offerta spontanea sia bovino che ovino, per essere gradito sia perfetta: non abbia alcun difetto.
22 You wil not offer Yahweh any animal which is blind, lame, mutilated, ulcerous, scabby or covered insores. No part of such an animal wil be offered on the altar as food burnt for Yahweh.	22 Non offrite al Signore animali ciechi, storpi, mutilati, ulcerati, scabbiosi o purulenti, e nulla di essi deporrete sull'altare per il Signore come dono.
23 As a voluntary offering, you may offer a bul or a lamb that is underdeveloped or deformed; but suchwil not be acceptable in payment of a vow.	23 Di un bue o di una pecora nana o deforme potrai fare un'offerta volontaria, ma come voto non sarà accettata.
24 You wil not offer Yahweh an animal if its testicles have been bruised, crushed, torn or cut off. Youmay not do that in your country,	24 Non offrite al Signore animali i cui testicoli siano rientrati, schiacciati, strappati o tagliati. Non fatelo nella vostra terra,
25 and you may not accept any such from the hands of a stranger, to be offered as food for your God.Their deformity is a blemish, and they would not make you acceptable." '	25 né prendete dalla mano di uno straniero nessun animale di tal genere per offrirlo come cibo al vostro Dio; perché, se deformi o difettosi, non sarebbero accettati per il vostro bene".
26 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	26 Il Signore disse a Mosè:
27 'A calf, lamb, or kid will stay with its dam for seven days after being born. From the eighth dayonwards, it wil be acceptable as food burnt for Yahweh.	27 "Quando viene partorito un vitello o un agnello o un capretto, per sette giorni resterà accanto alla madre e a partire dal giorno ottavo sarà accettato come offerta in dono al Signore.
28 But no animal, whether cow or ewe, wil be slaughtered on the same day as its young.	28 Non immolerete mucca o pecora con il suo piccolo nello stesso giorno.
29 'If you offer Yahweh a sacrifice with praise, do it in the acceptable manner;	29 Quando offrirete un'immolazione di ringraziamento, immolatela in modo che sia gradita:
30 it must be eaten the same day; you wil leave nothing over til next morning. I am Yahweh.	30 sia mangiata lo stesso giorno, non ne lasciate nulla fino al mattino seguente. Io sono il Signore.
31 'You wil keep my commands and put them into practice. I am Yahweh.	31 Osservate tutti i miei precetti e metteteli in pratica. Io sono il Signore.
32 You wil not profane my holy name -- so that I may be honoured as holy among the Israelites, I,Yahweh, who make you holy,	32 Non profanate il mio santo nome, affinché io sia proclamato santo in mezzo ai figli d'Israele. Io sono il Signore che vi santifica,
33 I who brought you out of Egypt, to be your God, I, Yahweh.'	33 colui che vi ha fatto uscire dalla terra d'Egitto, per essere per voi Dio. Io sono il Signore".
