Leviticus 22

1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 Il Signore parlò a Mosè e disse:
2 'Speak to Aaron and his sons. They must be consecrated by the holy offerings of the Israelites andmust not profane my holy name; for my sake they must sanctify it; I am Yahweh.	2 «Parla ad Aronne e ai suoi figli: trattino con rispetto le offerte sante degli Israeliti e non profanino il mio santo nome, perché sono offerte consacrate a me. Io sono il Signore.
3 Say to them: "Any one of your descendants, for al time, who in a state of uncleanness approaches theholy offerings consecrated to Yahweh by the Israelites, wil be outlawed from my presence. I am Yahweh.	3 Di’ loro: “Nelle generazioni future ogni uomo della vostra discendenza che si accosterà in stato di impurità alle offerte sante, consacrate dagli Israeliti in onore del Signore, sarà eliminato dalla mia presenza. Io sono il Signore.
4 "Anyone of Aaron's line who is afflicted with a contagious skin-disease or a discharge will not eat holythings until he is clean. Anyone who touches anything made unclean by a dead body, or who has a seminaldischarge,	4 Nessun uomo della stirpe di Aronne affetto da lebbra o da gonorrea potrà mangiare le offerte sante, finché non sia puro. Così sarà per chi toccherà qualsiasi cosa impura a causa di un cadavere o per chi avrà perdite seminali,
5 or who is made unclean by touching any kind of reptile or any one who has contaminated him with hisown uncleanness, be it what it may,	5 oppure per chi toccherà un rettile che lo rende impuro o una persona che lo rende impuro, qualunque sia la sua impurità.
6 in short, anyone who has had any such contact wil be unclean until evening, and must not eat holythings until he has washed his body.	6 Colui che avrà avuto tali contatti resterà impuro fino alla sera e non mangerà le offerte sante prima di essersi lavato il corpo nell’acqua;
7 At sunset he wil be clean and may then eat holy things, for these are his food.	7 dopo il tramonto del sole sarà puro e allora potrà mangiare le offerte sante, perché esse sono il suo cibo.
8 "He must not eat an animal that has died a natural death or been savaged; he would contractuncleanness from it. I am Yahweh.	8 Non mangerà carne di bestia morta naturalmente o sbranata, per non rendersi impuro. Io sono il Signore.
9 "They must keep my rules and not burden themselves with sin. If they profane them, they will incurdeath; I, Yahweh, have sanctified them.	9 Osserveranno dunque ciò che ho comandato, altrimenti porteranno la pena del loro peccato e moriranno per aver commesso profanazioni. Io sono il Signore che li santifico.
10 "No lay person may eat anything holy; no guest or employee of a priest may eat anything holy.	10 Nessun profano mangerà le offerte sante; né l’ospite di un sacerdote né il salariato potrà mangiare le offerte sante.
11 But if the priest has acquired a slave by purchase, the slave may eat it like anyone born in hishousehold; they will share his food.	11 Ma una persona che il sacerdote avrà comprato con il proprio denaro ne potrà mangiare, e così anche lo schiavo che gli è nato in casa: costoro potranno mangiare il suo cibo.
12 "If a priest's daughter marries a layman, she will have no share in the holy things set aside,	12 Se la figlia di un sacerdote è sposata con un profano, non potrà mangiare del contributo delle offerte sante.
13 but if she is widowed or divorced and, being childless, has had to return to her father's house aswhen she was young, she may share her father's food. No lay person may share it;	13 Se invece la figlia del sacerdote è rimasta vedova o è stata ripudiata e non ha figli, ed è tornata ad abitare da suo padre come quando era giovane, potrà mangiare il cibo del padre; ma nessun profano potrà mangiarne.
14 anyone who does eat a holy thing by inadvertence, wil restore it to the priest with one-fifth added.	14 Se uno mangia inavvertitamente di un'offerta santa, darà al sacerdote il valore dell'offerta santa, aggiungendovi un quinto.
15 "They may not profane the holy offerings which the Israelites have set aside for Yahweh.	15 I sacerdoti non profaneranno dunque le offerte sante degli Israeliti, che essi prelevano per il Signore,
16 By eating these, they would burden them with guilt requiring a sacrifice of reparation; for I, Yahweh, have sanctified these offerings." '	16 e non faranno portare loro il peso della colpa di cui si renderebbero colpevoli, mangiando le loro offerte sante; poiché io sono il Signore che le santifico”».
17 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	17 Il Signore parlò a Mosè e disse:
18 'Speak to Aaron, to his sons, and to al the Israelites and say: "Any member of the House of Israel orany alien resident in Israel who brings an offering either in payment of a vow or as a voluntary gift, and offers itas a burnt offering to Yahweh,	18 «Parla ad Aronne, ai suoi figli, a tutti gli Israeliti dicendo loro: “Chiunque della casa d’Israele o dei forestieri dimoranti in Israele presenterà la sua offerta, per qualsiasi voto o dono spontaneo, da presentare come olocausto in onore del Signore,
19 must, if he is to be acceptable, offer an unblemished male, be it bul or sheep or goat.	19 per essere gradito, dovrà offrire un maschio, senza difetto, di bovini, di pecore o di capre.
20 You wil not offer anything with a blemish, for it would not make you acceptable.	20 Non offrirete nulla con qualche difetto, perché non sarebbe gradito.
21 "If anyone offers Yahweh a communion sacrifice, either to fulfil a vow or as a voluntary offering, theanimal, be it from the herd or flock, must be perfect, if he is to be acceptable; it must be unblemished.	21 Se qualcuno presenterà al Signore, in sacrificio di comunione, un bovino o un ovino, sia per adempiere un voto sia come offerta spontanea, la vittima, perché sia gradita, dovrà essere perfetta e non avere alcun difetto.
22 You wil not offer Yahweh any animal which is blind, lame, mutilated, ulcerous, scabby or covered insores. No part of such an animal wil be offered on the altar as food burnt for Yahweh.	22 Non presenterete in onore del Signore nessuna vittima cieca o storpia o mutilata o con ulcere o con la scabbia o con piaghe purulente; non ne farete sull’altare un sacrificio consumato dal fuoco in onore del Signore.
23 As a voluntary offering, you may offer a bul or a lamb that is underdeveloped or deformed; but suchwil not be acceptable in payment of a vow.	23 Un capo di bestiame grosso o minuto che sia deforme o atrofizzato, potrai offrirlo come dono spontaneo, ma non sarà gradito come sacrificio votivo.
24 You wil not offer Yahweh an animal if its testicles have been bruised, crushed, torn or cut off. Youmay not do that in your country,	24 Non offrirete al Signore un animale con i testicoli ammaccati o contusi o strappati o tagliati. Tali cose non farete nella vostra terra
25 and you may not accept any such from the hands of a stranger, to be offered as food for your God.Their deformity is a blemish, and they would not make you acceptable." '	25 né prenderete dalle mani dello straniero alcuna di queste vittime per offrirla come cibo in onore del vostro Dio; essendo mutilate, difettose, non sarebbero gradite a vostro favore”».
26 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	26 Il Signore parlò a Mosè e disse:
27 'A calf, lamb, or kid will stay with its dam for seven days after being born. From the eighth dayonwards, it wil be acceptable as food burnt for Yahweh.	27 «Quando nascerà un vitello o un agnello o un capretto, starà sette giorni presso la madre; dall’ottavo giorno in poi, sarà gradito come vittima da consumare con il fuoco per il Signore.
28 But no animal, whether cow or ewe, wil be slaughtered on the same day as its young.	28 Non scannerete mucca o pecora lo stesso giorno con il suo piccolo.
29 'If you offer Yahweh a sacrifice with praise, do it in the acceptable manner;	29 Quando offrirete al Signore un sacrificio di ringraziamento, offritelo in modo che sia gradito.
30 it must be eaten the same day; you wil leave nothing over til next morning. I am Yahweh.	30 La vittima sarà mangiata il giorno stesso; non ne farete avanzare nulla fino al mattino. Io sono il Signore.
31 'You wil keep my commands and put them into practice. I am Yahweh.	31 Osserverete dunque i miei comandi e li metterete in pratica. Io sono il Signore.
32 You wil not profane my holy name -- so that I may be honoured as holy among the Israelites, I,Yahweh, who make you holy,	32 Non profanerete il mio santo nome, affinché io sia santificato in mezzo agli Israeliti. Io sono il Signore che vi santifico,
33 I who brought you out of Egypt, to be your God, I, Yahweh.'	33 che vi ho fatto uscire dalla terra d’Egitto per essere vostro Dio. Io sono il Signore».
