1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 Yahvé dit à Moïse:
2 'Speak to Aaron and his sons. They must be consecrated by the holy offerings of the Israelites andmust not profane my holy name; for my sake they must sanctify it; I am Yahweh.	2 “Voici ce que tu diras à Aaron et à ses fils: Faites attention pour les offrandes que me présentent les Israélites, n’allez pas profaner mon saint Nom: je suis Yahvé. Tu leur diras encore:
3 Say to them: "Any one of your descendants, for al time, who in a state of uncleanness approaches theholy offerings consecrated to Yahweh by the Israelites, wil be outlawed from my presence. I am Yahweh.	3 Si l’un de vos descendants, maintenant comme dans l’avenir, s’approche des offrandes que les Israélites consacrent à Yahvé alors qu’il est impur pour une raison ou une autre, il sera retranché de devant moi: je suis Yahvé!
4 "Anyone of Aaron's line who is afflicted with a contagious skin-disease or a discharge will not eat holythings until he is clean. Anyone who touches anything made unclean by a dead body, or who has a seminaldischarge,	4 Tout descendant d’Aaron qui aura la lèpre ou un écoulement purulent, ne pourra manger des offrandes saintes jusqu’à ce qu’il soit pur. Il en sera de même pour celui qui aura touché une personne impure, ou qui aura touché un cadavre, ou aura eu un écoulement de sperme,
5 or who is made unclean by touching any kind of reptile or any one who has contaminated him with hisown uncleanness, be it what it may,	5 ou aura touché un reptile ou un homme impur qui lui a transmis son impureté.
6 in short, anyone who has had any such contact wil be unclean until evening, and must not eat holythings until he has washed his body.	6 Celui qui aura eu l’un de ces contacts sera impur jusqu’au soir. Il ne mangera pas des offrandes saintes, mais il se baignera tout entier dans l’eau.
7 At sunset he wil be clean and may then eat holy things, for these are his food.	7 Et, après le coucher du soleil, il sera pur. Alors il pourra manger des offrandes saintes, car c’est sa part de nourriture.
8 "He must not eat an animal that has died a natural death or been savaged; he would contractuncleanness from it. I am Yahweh.	8 Il ne mangera pas d’une bête morte ou déchirée pour ne pas en être souillé: je suis Yahvé.
9 "They must keep my rules and not burden themselves with sin. If they profane them, they will incurdeath; I, Yahweh, have sanctified them.	9 Ils observeront mes commandements; ainsi ils ne se chargeront pas d’un péché et ne risqueront pas la mort pour avoir profané les offrandes saintes: je suis Yahvé qui les sanctifie!
10 "No lay person may eat anything holy; no guest or employee of a priest may eat anything holy.	10 Aucun étranger ne mangera des offrandes saintes; ni celui qui demeure chez un prêtre, ni l’un de ses salariés ne pourra manger des offrandes saintes.
11 But if the priest has acquired a slave by purchase, the slave may eat it like anyone born in hishousehold; they will share his food.	11 Mais l’esclave qui aura été acheté par le prêtre pourra en manger. Il en sera de même de celui qui est né dans sa maison. Ceux-là mangeront de cette nourriture.
12 "If a priest's daughter marries a layman, she will have no share in the holy things set aside,	12 La fille d’un prêtre, mariée avec un étranger, ne pourra manger ce qui a été prélevé sur les offrandes saintes.
13 but if she is widowed or divorced and, being childless, has had to return to her father's house aswhen she was young, she may share her father's food. No lay person may share it;	13 Si la fille d’un prêtre est veuve ou répudiée sans enfants, et qu’elle retourne dans la maison de son père comme elle y était dans sa jeunesse, elle pourra de nouveau manger de la nourriture de son père. Mais aucun étranger n’en mangera.
14 anyone who does eat a holy thing by inadvertence, wil restore it to the priest with one-fifth added.	14 Si un homme mange par erreur une offrande sainte, il rendra au prêtre la valeur de cette offrande et y ajoutera un cinquième.
15 "They may not profane the holy offerings which the Israelites have set aside for Yahweh.	15 Les prêtres ne profaneront pas les saintes offrandes des Israélites, la part qui a été prélevée en l’honneur de Yahvé.
16 By eating these, they would burden them with guilt requiring a sacrifice of reparation; for I, Yahweh, have sanctified these offerings." '	16 Les prêtres leur feraient encourir une faute s’ils les laissaient manger les offrandes saintes: je suis Yahvé qui les sanctifie.”
17 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	17 Yahvé dit à Moïse:
18 'Speak to Aaron, to his sons, and to al the Israelites and say: "Any member of the House of Israel orany alien resident in Israel who brings an offering either in payment of a vow or as a voluntary gift, and offers itas a burnt offering to Yahweh,	18 “Voici ce que tu diras à Aaron et à ses fils, ainsi qu’à tous les Israélites: Lorsqu’un homme de la maison d’Israël, ou un étranger habitant en Israël, présente son holocauste pour l’accomplissement d’un vœu ou comme don volontaire à Yahvé,
19 must, if he is to be acceptable, offer an unblemished male, be it bul or sheep or goat.	19 son sacrifice n’est agréable que si la victime est un mâle sans défaut, qu’il s’agisse de bœufs, de moutons ou de chèvres.
20 You wil not offer anything with a blemish, for it would not make you acceptable.	20 Vous n’offrirez aucune bête ayant un défaut: elle ne serait pas agréable à Yahvé.
21 "If anyone offers Yahweh a communion sacrifice, either to fulfil a vow or as a voluntary offering, theanimal, be it from the herd or flock, must be perfect, if he is to be acceptable; it must be unblemished.	21 Quand on offre à Yahvé du gros ou du petit bétail, que ce soit un sacrifice de communion, ou pour s’acquitter d’un vœu ou comme offrande volontaire, seule une victime sans défaut est agréable à Yahvé; elle ne doit avoir aucun défaut.
22 You wil not offer Yahweh any animal which is blind, lame, mutilated, ulcerous, scabby or covered insores. No part of such an animal wil be offered on the altar as food burnt for Yahweh.	22 Vous n’offrirez pas à Yahvé, vous ne ferez pas d’holocauste sur l’autel de Yahvé avec un animal aveugle, estropié ou mutilé; avec un animal qui a un ulcère, la gale ou une plaie.
23 As a voluntary offering, you may offer a bul or a lamb that is underdeveloped or deformed; but suchwil not be acceptable in payment of a vow.	23 Tu pourras immoler comme offrande volontaire un bœuf ou une brebis ayant un membre trop long ou trop court, mais pour l’accomplissement d’un vœu, ils ne seraient pas agréables à Yahvé.
24 You wil not offer Yahweh an animal if its testicles have been bruised, crushed, torn or cut off. Youmay not do that in your country,	24 Vous n’offrirez pas à Yahvé un animal qui ait les testicules écrasés, arrachés ou coupés. Vous ne ferez pas cela dans votre pays,
25 and you may not accept any such from the hands of a stranger, to be offered as food for your God.Their deformity is a blemish, and they would not make you acceptable." '	25 et vous n’accepterez même aucun de ces animaux de la main d’un étranger pour les présenter en offrande à votre Dieu. Car cette mutilation est une tare, et ils ne vous obtiendront aucune faveur.”
26 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	26 Yahvé dit encore à Moïse:
27 'A calf, lamb, or kid will stay with its dam for seven days after being born. From the eighth dayonwards, it wil be acceptable as food burnt for Yahweh.	27 “Le veau, l’agneau ou le chevreau resteront sept jours sous leur mère après leur naissance. Mais dès le huitième jour Yahvé les acceptera pour le sacrifice par le feu.
28 But no animal, whether cow or ewe, wil be slaughtered on the same day as its young.	28 Vous n’immolerez pas une bête de gros ou de petit bétail, ainsi que son petit le même jour.
29 'If you offer Yahweh a sacrifice with praise, do it in the acceptable manner;	29 Lorsque vous offrirez à Yahvé un sacrifice d’action de grâces, vous l’offrirez de manière qu’il soit agréé.
30 it must be eaten the same day; you wil leave nothing over til next morning. I am Yahweh.	30 La victime sera mangée le jour même, vous n’en laisserez rien jusqu’au lendemain matin. Je suis Yahvé.
31 'You wil keep my commands and put them into practice. I am Yahweh.	31 Vous observerez mes commandements et vous les mettrez en pratique. Je suis Yahvé.
32 You wil not profane my holy name -- so that I may be honoured as holy among the Israelites, I,Yahweh, who make you holy,	32 Vous ne profanerez pas mon saint Nom et ainsi je serai sanctifié au milieu des Israélites. Je suis Yahvé qui vous sanctifie,
33 I who brought you out of Egypt, to be your God, I, Yahweh.'	33 et je vous ai fait sortir d’Égypte pour être votre Dieu. Je suis Yahvé.”
