Isaiah 65

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA TINTORI
1 I have let myself be approached by those who did not consult me, I have let myself be found by thosewho did not seek me. I said, 'Here I am, here I am!' to a nation that did not invoke my name.	1 Mi han cercato quelli che prima non dimandavan di me, mi han trovato quelli che non mi cercavano; e io ho detto: « Eccomi, eccomi » ad una nazione che non invocava il mio nome.
2 Each day I stretched out my hands to a rebel ious people who fol ow a way which is not good, as thefancy takes them;	2 Stesi tutto il giorno le mie mani ad un popolo incredulo che cammina per via non buona, dietro alle sue idee.
3 a people constantly provoking me to my face by sacrificing in gardens, burning incense on bricks,	3 Ad un popolo che mi provoca a sdegno, in faccia continuamente, che immola nei giardini e sacrifica sui mattoni,
4 living in tombs, spending the night in dark corners, eating the meat of pigs, putting unclean foods ontheir plates.	4 che abita nei sepolcri e dorme nei templi degli idoli, che mangia carne di porco ed ha brodo profano nei suoi piatti.
5 'Keep your distance,' they say, 'do not touch me, lest my sanctity come near you!' Such words are likestifling smoke to me, an ever-burning fire.	5 E dicono: « Allontanati da me, non ti avvicinare, perchè tu sei immondo ». Costoro saran fumo nel mio furore, un fuoco che divamperà per sempre.
6 Look, it is inscribed before me: I shal not be silent until I have repaid them, repaid them in ful ,	6 Ecco ciò che è scritto dinanzi a me: Io non tacerò, ma renderò, verserò quanto si meritano nel loro seno,
7 punished your guilt and your ancestors' guilt together, Yahweh declares. For having burnt incense onthe mountains and insulted me on the hil s, I shal pay them back in ful for what they have done.	7 le vostre iniquità con le iniquità dei vostri padri — dice il Signore — i quali sacrificaron sopra i monti, m'oltraggiarono sopra le colline: misurerò la loro mercede per la condotta passata, nel loro seno.
8 Yahweh says this: As when a bunch of grapes is found stil to have juice in it, people say, 'Do notdestroy it, for it contains a blessing,' so I shall act for my servants' sake, I shal not destroy them all.	8 Queste cose dice il Signore: « Come quando si trova un granello in un grappolo si dice: — Non lo mandare a male, perchè è una benedizione — così farò io per amor dei miei servi, non li sterminerò tutti,
9 I shal produce descendants from Jacob and heirs to my mountains from Judah, my chosen ones wilown them and my servants wil live there.	9 e farò uscire da Giacobbe una posterità, e da Giuda chi erediterà le mie montagne: le erediteranno i miei eletti, vi abiteranno i miei servi,
10 Sharon wil be a pasture for flocks, the Val ey of Achor a feeding ground for cattle, for those of mypeople who have sought me.	10 e le pianure diverranno ovili di greggi, e la valle di Achor diverrà letto degli armenti per il mio popolo che mi ha cercato.
11 But as for those of you who abandon Yahweh, who forget my holy mountain, who lay the table forGad, who fil cups of mixed wine for Meni,	11 Ma voi che avete abbandonato il Signore, che avete dimenticata la mia santa montagna, che apparecchiate la tavola alla Fortuna, e vi fate sopra le libazioni,
12 you I shal destine to the sword and al of you wil stoop to be slaughtered, because I cal ed and youwould not answer, I spoke and you would not listen; you have done what I consider evil, you chose to do whatdispleases me.	12 vi conterò colla spada, cadrete tutti nella strage; perchè io vi ho chiamati e non avete risposto, ho parlato e non avete dato ascolto, e avete fatto il male sotto i miei occhi, avete scelto ciò che io non volevo.
13 Therefore Lord Yahweh says this: You will see my servants eating while you go hungry; you will seemy servants drinking while you go thirsty; you wil see my servants rejoicing while you are put to shame;	13 Per questo, così dice il Signore Dio: « Ecco i miei servi mangeranno, e voi patirete la fame, ecco i miei servi berranno, e voi patirete la sete;
14 you will hear my servants shouting for joy of heart, while you shriek for sorrow of heart and howl with abroken spirit.	14 ecco i miei servi saranno in festa, e voi sarete nella confusione; ecco i miei servi canteranno laudi per la gioia del cuore, e voi, per l'affanno del vostro cuore, griderete, urlerete per lo strazio del vostro spirito,
15 And you wil leave your name behind as a curse for my chosen ones, 'May Lord Yahweh strike youdead!' But to his servants he wil give another name.	15 e lascerete come imprecazione il vostro nome ai miei eletti, e il Signore Dio vi farà perire, e chiamerà i suoi servi con altro nome,
16 Whoever blesses himself on earth wil bless himself by the God of truth, and whoever swears an oathon earth will swear by the God of truth, for past troubles will be forgotten and hidden from my eyes.	16 nel quale chi è benedetto sulla terrà sarà benedetto dal vero Dio, e chiunque giungerà sulla terra giungerà pel vero Dio, perchè i passati affanni sono dimenticati, sono spariti dagli occhi miei.
17 For look, I am going to create new heavens and a new earth, and the past will not be rememberedand will come no more to mind.	17 Ecco io creo nuovi cieli e nuova terra; non si ricorderan più le cose passate, non torneranno più in mente.
18 Rather be joyful, be glad for ever at what I am creating, for look, I am creating Jerusalem to be 'Joy'and my people to be 'Gladness'.	18 E vi rallegrerete ed esulterete in eterno per le cose che io creo: ecco io creo Gerusalemme (per) l'allegrezza e il suo popolo per la gioia.
19 I shal be joyful in Jerusalem and I shal rejoice in my people. No more will the sound of weeping beheard there, nor the sound of a shriek;	19 Ed esulterò per Gerusalemme, e gioirò pel mio popolo, e mai più si sentirà in lui la voce del pianto, il grido del lamento.
20 never again wil there be an infant there who lives only a few days, nor an old man who does not runhis ful course; for the youngest wil die at a hundred, and at a hundred the sinner wil be accursed.	20 Non vi sarà più bambino di pochi giorni, nè vecchio che non compisca i suoi giorni, perchè il fanciullo morrà a cento anni, e il peccatore di cento anni sarà maledetto.
21 They will build houses and live in them, they wil plant vineyards and eat their fruit.	21 E fabbricheranno case e le abiteranno, e pianteranno vigne e ne mangeranno il frutto.
22 They will not build for others to live in, or plant for others to eat; for the days of my people wil be likethe days of a tree, and my chosen ones wil themselves use what they have made.	22 Non edificheranno più perchè vi abiti un altro, non pianteranno più perchè altri mangi, chè i giorni del mio popolo saran come i giorni dell'albero, e le opere delle loro mani dureranno a lungo.
23 They will not toil in vain, nor bear children destined to disaster, for they are the race of Yahweh'sblessed ones and so are their offspring.	23 I miei eletti non s'affaticheranno invano nè gemeranno nell'agitazione, perchè sono la stirpe benedetta dal Signore, e con essi i loro discendenti.
24 Thus, before they cal I shal answer, before they stop speaking I shal have heard.	24 Avanti che essi alzino la voce io li esaudirò, prima che abbiano finito di dire li avrò già ascoltati.
25 The wolf and the young lamb wil feed together, the lion wil eat hay like the ox, and dust be theserpent's food. No hurt, no harm wil be done on al my holy mountain, Yahweh says.	25 Il lupo e l'agnello pascoleranno insieme, e il leone e il bove mangeranno lo strame, cibo del serpente sarà la polvere: non faran del male, non faran morire in tutta la mia santa montagna — dice il Signore. »
