Isaiah 65

1 I have let myself be approached by those who did not consult me, I have let myself be found by thosewho did not seek me. I said, 'Here I am, here I am!' to a nation that did not invoke my name.	1 Hanno cercato di me quellj, che prima non domandavan di me: mi han trovato quelli, che non mi cercavano. Ho detto; Eccomi, eccomi ad una nazione, che non invocava il mio nome.
2 Each day I stretched out my hands to a rebel ious people who fol ow a way which is not good, as thefancy takes them;	2 Stesi le mani mie tutto il dì al popolo incredulo, che cammina per non buona strada dietro a' suoi pensamenti.
3 a people constantly provoking me to my face by sacrificing in gardens, burning incense on bricks,	3 Al popolo, il quale in faccia a me di continuo mi provoca a sdegno, che uccide vittime negli orti, e sagrifica sopra i mattoni:
4 living in tombs, spending the night in dark corners, eating the meat of pigs, putting unclean foods ontheir plates.	4 Che abitano ne' sepolcri, e dormono ne' templi degl'idoli, che mangian carne di porco, e brodo profano hanno nelle loro pignatte.
5 'Keep your distance,' they say, 'do not touch me, lest my sanctity come near you!' Such words are likestifling smoke to me, an ever-burning fire.	5 Che dicono: Ritirati da me, non appressarti, perchè tu se' immondo: costoro al mio furore diverran fumo, e fuoco, che sempre arderà.
6 Look, it is inscribed before me: I shal not be silent until I have repaid them, repaid them in ful ,	6 Ècco, che ciò è scritto dinanzi a me: io non tacerò, ma renderò, e verserò loro in seno il contraccambio,
7 punished your guilt and your ancestors' guilt together, Yahweh declares. For having burnt incense onthe mountains and insulted me on the hil s, I shal pay them back in ful for what they have done.	7 Il contraccambio alle vostre iniquità, e alle iniquità insieme de' padri vostri, i quali sacrificarono sopra i monti, e mi disonoraron sulle colline. Verserò io in seno a costoro il contraccambio per le prime opere di quelli.
8 Yahweh says this: As when a bunch of grapes is found stil to have juice in it, people say, 'Do notdestroy it, for it contains a blessing,' so I shall act for my servants' sake, I shal not destroy them all.	8 Queste cose dice il Signore: Come quando in un grappolo si trova un granello, e si dice: Nol mandar male, per chè e una benedizione: cosi faro io per amor de' miei servi: non isterminerò il tutto.
9 I shal produce descendants from Jacob and heirs to my mountains from Judah, my chosen ones wilown them and my servants wil live there.	9 E da Giacobbe trarrò semenza, e da Giuda chi avrà de' miei monti il dominio. E Gerusalemme sarà eredita de' miei eletti, e vi abiterranno i miei servi.
10 Sharon wil be a pasture for flocks, the Val ey of Achor a feeding ground for cattle, for those of mypeople who have sought me.	10 E le campagne saranno ovili di greggi, e nella valle di Achor riposeranno gli armenti del popol mio, di que', che han cercato di me,
11 But as for those of you who abandon Yahweh, who forget my holy mountain, who lay the table forGad, who fil cups of mixed wine for Meni,	11 Ma voi, che abbandonaste il Signore, che vi siete scordati del mio monte santo, che apparecchiate la mensa alla fortuna, e sopra vi fate le libagioni,
12 you I shal destine to the sword and al of you wil stoop to be slaughtered, because I cal ed and youwould not answer, I spoke and you would not listen; you have done what I consider evil, you chose to do whatdispleases me.	12 Vi conterò colla spada, e nella strage tutti voi perirete: perchè vi ho chiamati, e non avete risposto; ho parlato, e non avete dato retta, e facevate il male sugli occhi miei, e avete voluto quel, ch'io non voleva.
13 Therefore Lord Yahweh says this: You will see my servants eating while you go hungry; you will seemy servants drinking while you go thirsty; you wil see my servants rejoicing while you are put to shame;	13 Quindi è, che così dice il Signore Dio: Ecco, che i servi miei mangeranno, e voi patirete la fame: ecco, che i servi miei beranno, e voi patirete la sete:
14 you will hear my servants shouting for joy of heart, while you shriek for sorrow of heart and howl with abroken spirit.	14 Ecco, che i servi miei saranno in gaudio, e voi sarete confusi: ecco, che i servi miei per la letizia del cuore canteran laude, e voi per l'affanno del cuore alzerete le grida, e per l'afflizion dello spirito urlerete.
15 And you wil leave your name behind as a curse for my chosen ones, 'May Lord Yahweh strike youdead!' But to his servants he wil give another name.	15 E lascerete esecrabile pe' miei eletti il nome vostro. Il Signore Dio vi farà perire, e a' suoi servi porrà altro nome.
16 Whoever blesses himself on earth wil bless himself by the God of truth, and whoever swears an oathon earth will swear by the God of truth, for past troubles will be forgotten and hidden from my eyes.	16 Nel qual (nome) chi è benedetto sopra la terra, sarà benedetto da Dio vero, e chi fa giuramento sopra la terra, in questo Dio vero giurerà: perchè le precedenti angustie son messe in dimenticanza, e perchè elle sono sparite dagli occhi miei.
17 For look, I am going to create new heavens and a new earth, and the past will not be rememberedand will come no more to mind.	17 Imperocché ecco, che io creo cnuovi cieli, e nuova terra, e le prime cose non saran più rammentate, né se ne farà ricordanza.
18 Rather be joyful, be glad for ever at what I am creating, for look, I am creating Jerusalem to be 'Joy'and my people to be 'Gladness'.	18 Ma vi rallegrerete, ed esulterete in eterno per ragion delle cose, ch'io creo: perocché ecco, che io creo Gerusalemme città di esultazione, e il popol di lei popol gaudente.
19 I shal be joyful in Jerusalem and I shal rejoice in my people. No more will the sound of weeping beheard there, nor the sound of a shriek;	19 Ed io esulterò per ragion di Gerusalemme, e gaudio darammi il mio popolo: ne in lui udirassi più voce di pianto, e voce di lamento.
20 never again wil there be an infant there who lives only a few days, nor an old man who does not runhis ful course; for the youngest wil die at a hundred, and at a hundred the sinner wil be accursed.	20 Non vi sarà più fanciullo di pochi giorni, né vecchio, che non compisca i suoi giorni; perchè il fanciullo di cento anni morrà, e il peccatore di cento anni sarà maledetto.
21 They will build houses and live in them, they wil plant vineyards and eat their fruit.	21 E fabbricheranno case, e le abiteranno, e pianteranno vigne, e ne mangeranno il frutto.
22 They will not build for others to live in, or plant for others to eat; for the days of my people wil be likethe days of a tree, and my chosen ones wil themselves use what they have made.	22 Non avverrà, che essi edifichino, ne vi abiti un altro, né che piantino, e un altro mangi; perocché i giorni del popol mio saran come quei di quell'albero, e le opere delle loro mani dureran lungamente:
23 They will not toil in vain, nor bear children destined to disaster, for they are the race of Yahweh'sblessed ones and so are their offspring.	23 Non si affaticheranno in vano i miei eletti, né genereranno figliuoli, che sian loro d'affanno: perchè stirpe benedetta dal Signore son essi, e con essi i loro nipoti.
24 Thus, before they cal I shal answer, before they stop speaking I shal have heard.	24 E prima, che alzin la voce, io gli esaudirò, e prima, che abbian finito di dire, gli avrò uditi.
25 The wolf and the young lamb wil feed together, the lion wil eat hay like the ox, and dust be theserpent's food. No hurt, no harm wil be done on al my holy mountain, Yahweh says.	25 Il lupo, e l'agnello pascoleranno insieme, il leone, e il bue mangeranno lo strame; e pane del serpente sarà la polvere; non uccideranno, né faranno ingiuria in tutto il mio monte santo dice il Signore.
