Isaiah 65

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 I have let myself be approached by those who did not consult me, I have let myself be found by thosewho did not seek me. I said, 'Here I am, here I am!' to a nation that did not invoke my name.	1 Yo me dejé consultar por los que no me interrogaban; salí al encuentro de los que me buscaban, Yo dije: «¡Aquí estoy, aquí estoy!» a una nación que no invocaba mi Nombre.
2 Each day I stretched out my hands to a rebel ious people who fol ow a way which is not good, as thefancy takes them;	2 Tendí mis manos incesantemente hacia un pueblo rebelde, que va por un mal camino, tras sus propios designios.
3 a people constantly provoking me to my face by sacrificing in gardens, burning incense on bricks,	3 Es un pueblo que no cesa de provocarme en mi propia cara, sacrificando en los jardines y quemando incienso sobre ladrillos.
4 living in tombs, spending the night in dark corners, eating the meat of pigs, putting unclean foods ontheir plates.	4 Ellos se sientan en los sepulcros y pasan la noche en las grutas, comen carne de cerdo y hay en sus platos un caldo inmundo.
5 'Keep your distance,' they say, 'do not touch me, lest my sanctity come near you!' Such words are likestifling smoke to me, an ever-burning fire.	5 Ellos dicen: «Apártate, no te me acerques, porque te dejaría consagrado». ¡Esas cosas son una humareda en mis narices, un fuego que arde todo el día!
6 Look, it is inscribed before me: I shal not be silent until I have repaid them, repaid them in ful ,	6 Pero todo eso está escrito ante mí, y no me quedaré callado, sino que les daré su merecido y se lo pondré en su propio pecho,
7 punished your guilt and your ancestors' guilt together, Yahweh declares. For having burnt incense onthe mountains and insulted me on the hil s, I shal pay them back in ful for what they have done.	7 por sus culpas y las culpas de sus padres, por todas juntas, dice el Señor. Porque ellos quemaron incienso en las montañas y me ultrajaron sobre las colinas, yo les mediré su retribución y la pondré en su propio pecho.
8 Yahweh says this: As when a bunch of grapes is found stil to have juice in it, people say, 'Do notdestroy it, for it contains a blessing,' so I shall act for my servants' sake, I shal not destroy them all.	8 Así habla el Señor: Cuando se encuentra jugo en un racimo, se dice: «No lo destruyas, porque hay una bendición en él». Yo obraré así a causa de mis servidores, a fin de no destruirlo todo:
9 I shal produce descendants from Jacob and heirs to my mountains from Judah, my chosen ones wilown them and my servants wil live there.	9 haré salir de Jacob una descendencia y de Judá, a un poseedor de mis montañas; mis elegidos las poseerán y mis servidores habitarán allí,
10 Sharon wil be a pasture for flocks, the Val ey of Achor a feeding ground for cattle, for those of mypeople who have sought me.	10 El Sarón será un redil de ovejas y el valle de Acor un corral de vacas, para mi Pueblo que me habrá buscado.
11 But as for those of you who abandon Yahweh, who forget my holy mountain, who lay the table forGad, who fil cups of mixed wine for Meni,	11 Pero ustedes, los que han abandonado al Señor y se han olvidado de mi santa Montaña, los que preparan una mesa para la Fortuna y llenan una copa para el Destino,
12 you I shal destine to the sword and al of you wil stoop to be slaughtered, because I cal ed and youwould not answer, I spoke and you would not listen; you have done what I consider evil, you chose to do whatdispleases me.	12 as ustedes, los destinaré a la espada y doblarán la rodilla para el degüello. Porque yo llamé, y no respondieron, hablé, y no escucharon; ustedes hicieron lo que me desagrada y eligieron lo que yo no quiero.
13 Therefore Lord Yahweh says this: You will see my servants eating while you go hungry; you will seemy servants drinking while you go thirsty; you wil see my servants rejoicing while you are put to shame;	13 Por eso, así habla el Señor: ¡Mis servidores comerán y ustedes estarán hambrientos! ¡Mis servidores beberán y ustedes estarán sedientos! ¡Mis servidores se alegrarán y ustedes quedarán avergonzados!
14 you will hear my servants shouting for joy of heart, while you shriek for sorrow of heart and howl with abroken spirit.	14 ¡Mis servidores cantarán con júbilo en el corazón y ustedes gritarán con el corazón dolorido, gemirán con el espíritu desgarrado!
15 And you wil leave your name behind as a curse for my chosen ones, 'May Lord Yahweh strike youdead!' But to his servants he wil give another name.	15 Ustedes dejarán su nombre a mis elegidos para una imprecación: «¡Así te haga morir el Señor!». A mis servidores, en cambio, se los llamará con otro nombre.
16 Whoever blesses himself on earth wil bless himself by the God of truth, and whoever swears an oathon earth will swear by the God of truth, for past troubles will be forgotten and hidden from my eyes.	16 Todo el que se bendiga en el país se bendecirá por el Dios del Amén, porque las angustias pasadas habrán sido olvidadas y estarán ocultas a mis ojos.
17 For look, I am going to create new heavens and a new earth, and the past will not be rememberedand will come no more to mind.	17 Sí, yo voy a crear un cielo nuevo y una tierra nueva. No quedará el recuerdo del pasado ni se lo traerá a la memoria,
18 Rather be joyful, be glad for ever at what I am creating, for look, I am creating Jerusalem to be 'Joy'and my people to be 'Gladness'.	18 sino que se regocijarán y se alegrarán para siempre por lo que yo voy a crear: porque voy a crear a Jerusalén para la alegría y a su pueblo para el gozo.
19 I shal be joyful in Jerusalem and I shal rejoice in my people. No more will the sound of weeping beheard there, nor the sound of a shriek;	19 Jerusalén será mi alegría, yo estaré gozoso a causa de mi pueblo, y nunca más se escucharán en ella ni llantos ni alaridos.
20 never again wil there be an infant there who lives only a few days, nor an old man who does not runhis ful course; for the youngest wil die at a hundred, and at a hundred the sinner wil be accursed.	20 Ya no habrá allí niños que vivan pocos días ni ancianos que no completen sus años, porque el más joven morirá a los cien años y al que no llegue a esa edad se lo tendrá por maldito.
21 They will build houses and live in them, they wil plant vineyards and eat their fruit.	21 Edificarán casas y las habitarán, plantarán viñas y comerán sus frutos:
22 They will not build for others to live in, or plant for others to eat; for the days of my people wil be likethe days of a tree, and my chosen ones wil themselves use what they have made.	22 no edificarán para que habite otro ni plantarán para que coma un extraño, porque mi pueblo vivirá tanto como los árboles y mis elegidos disfrutarán de la obra de sus manos.
23 They will not toil in vain, nor bear children destined to disaster, for they are the race of Yahweh'sblessed ones and so are their offspring.	23 Ellos no se fatigarán en vano ni tendrán hijos para un fin desastroso, porque serán la estirpe de los bendecidos por el Señor, ellos y sus vástagos junto con ellos.
24 Thus, before they cal I shal answer, before they stop speaking I shal have heard.	24 Antes que llamen, yo les responderé; estarán hablando, y ya los habré escuchado.
25 The wolf and the young lamb wil feed together, the lion wil eat hay like the ox, and dust be theserpent's food. No hurt, no harm wil be done on al my holy mountain, Yahweh says.	25 El lobo y el cordero pacerán juntos, el león comerá paja como el buey y la serpiente se alimentará de polvo: No se hará daño ni estragos en toda mi Montaña santa, dice el Señor.
