Isaiah 65

NEW JERUSALEM	DIODATI
1 I have let myself be approached by those who did not consult me, I have let myself be found by thosewho did not seek me. I said, 'Here I am, here I am!' to a nation that did not invoke my name.	1 IO sono stato ricercato da quelli che non domandavano di me, io sono stato trovato da quelli che non mi cercavano; io ho detto alla gente che non si chiamava del mio Nome: Eccomi, eccomi.
2 Each day I stretched out my hands to a rebel ious people who fol ow a way which is not good, as thefancy takes them;	2 Io ho stese tuttodì le mani ad un popolo ribello, il qual cammina per una via che non è buona, dietro a’ suoi pensieri;
3 a people constantly provoking me to my face by sacrificing in gardens, burning incense on bricks,	3 ad un popolo, che del continuo mi dispetta in faccia, che sacrifica nei giardini, e fa profumi sopra i mattoni.
4 living in tombs, spending the night in dark corners, eating the meat of pigs, putting unclean foods ontheir plates.	4 Il qual dimora fra i sepolcri, e passa le notti ne’ luoghi appartati; che mangia carne di porco, e ne’ cui vaselli vi è del brodo di cose abbominevoli.
5 'Keep your distance,' they say, 'do not touch me, lest my sanctity come near you!' Such words are likestifling smoke to me, an ever-burning fire.	5 Che dice: Fatti in là, non accostarti a me; perciocchè io son più santo di te. Tali sono un fumo al mio naso, un fuoco ardente tuttodì.
6 Look, it is inscribed before me: I shal not be silent until I have repaid them, repaid them in ful ,	6 Ecco, tutto questo è scritto nel mio cospetto; io non mi tacerò, ma ne farò la retribuzione; ne farò loro la retribuzione in seno.
7 punished your guilt and your ancestors' guilt together, Yahweh declares. For having burnt incense onthe mountains and insulted me on the hil s, I shal pay them back in ful for what they have done.	7 Le vostre iniquità, e l’iniquità de’ vostri padri, che han fatti profumi sopra i monti, e mi hanno villaneggiato sopra i colli, son tutte insieme, ha detto il Signore; perciò, io misurerò loro in seno il pagamento di ciò che han fatto fin dal principio
8 Yahweh says this: As when a bunch of grapes is found stil to have juice in it, people say, 'Do notdestroy it, for it contains a blessing,' so I shall act for my servants' sake, I shal not destroy them all.	8 Così ha detto il Signore: Siccome, quando si trova del mosto ne’ grappoli, si dice: Non guastar la vigna, perciocchè vi è della benedizione; così farò io per amor de’ miei servitori, per non guastare ogni cosa.
9 I shal produce descendants from Jacob and heirs to my mountains from Judah, my chosen ones wilown them and my servants wil live there.	9 E farò uscire di Giacobbe una progenie, e di Giuda de’ possessori de’ miei monti; ed i miei eletti possederanno la terra, ed i miei servitori abiteranno in essa.
10 Sharon wil be a pasture for flocks, the Val ey of Achor a feeding ground for cattle, for those of mypeople who have sought me.	10 E Saron sarà per mandra del minuto bestiame, e la valle di Acor per mandra del grosso; per lo mio popolo che mi avrà cercato
11 But as for those of you who abandon Yahweh, who forget my holy mountain, who lay the table forGad, who fil cups of mixed wine for Meni,	11 Ma quant’è a voi che abbandonate il Signore, che dimenticate il monte della mia santità, che apparecchiate la mensa al pianeta Gad, e fate a piena coppa offerte da spandere a Meni,
12 you I shal destine to the sword and al of you wil stoop to be slaughtered, because I cal ed and youwould not answer, I spoke and you would not listen; you have done what I consider evil, you chose to do whatdispleases me.	12 io vi darò a conto alla spada, e voi tutti sarete messi giù per essere scannati; perciocchè io ho chiamato, e voi non avete risposto; io ho parlato, e voi non avete ascoltato; anzi avete fatto ciò che mi dispiace, ed avete eletto ciò che non mi aggrada.
13 Therefore Lord Yahweh says this: You will see my servants eating while you go hungry; you will seemy servants drinking while you go thirsty; you wil see my servants rejoicing while you are put to shame;	13 Perciò, così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Ecco, i miei servitori mangeranno, e voi sarete affamati; ecco, i miei servitori berranno, e voi sarete assetati; ecco, i miei servitori si rallegreranno, e voi sarete confusi;
14 you will hear my servants shouting for joy of heart, while you shriek for sorrow of heart and howl with abroken spirit.	14 ecco, i miei servitori giubileranno di letizia di cuore, e voi striderete di cordoglio, ed urlerete di rottura di spirito.
15 And you wil leave your name behind as a curse for my chosen ones, 'May Lord Yahweh strike youdead!' But to his servants he wil give another name.	15 E lascerete il vostro nome a’ miei eletti, per servir d’esecrazione; e il Signore Iddio ti ucciderà; ma egli nominerà i suoi servitori d’un altro nome.
16 Whoever blesses himself on earth wil bless himself by the God of truth, and whoever swears an oathon earth will swear by the God of truth, for past troubles will be forgotten and hidden from my eyes.	16 Colui che si benedirà nella terra si benedirà nell’Iddio di verità; e colui che giurerà nella terra giurerà per l’Iddio di perità; perciocchè le afflizioni di prima saranno dimenticate, e saranno nascoste dagli occhi miei
17 For look, I am going to create new heavens and a new earth, and the past will not be rememberedand will come no more to mind.	17 Perciocchè, ecco, io creo nuovi cieli, e nuova terra; e le cose di prima non saranno più rammemorate, e non verranno più alla mente.
18 Rather be joyful, be glad for ever at what I am creating, for look, I am creating Jerusalem to be 'Joy'and my people to be 'Gladness'.	18 Anzi rallegratevi, e festeggiate in perpetuo, per le cose che io son per creare; perciocchè, ecco, io creerò Gerusalemme per esser tutta gioia, ed il suo popolo per esser tutto letizia.
19 I shal be joyful in Jerusalem and I shal rejoice in my people. No more will the sound of weeping beheard there, nor the sound of a shriek;	19 Ed io festeggerò di Gerusalemme, e mi rallegrerò del mio popolo; ed in quella non si udirà più voce di pianto, nè voce di strido.
20 never again wil there be an infant there who lives only a few days, nor an old man who does not runhis ful course; for the youngest wil die at a hundred, and at a hundred the sinner wil be accursed.	20 Non vi sarà più da indi innanzi bambino di pochi giorni nè vecchio, che non compia la sua età; perciocchè chi morrà d’età di cent’anni sarà ancora fanciullo, e il malfattore d’età di cent’anni sarà maledetto.
21 They will build houses and live in them, they wil plant vineyards and eat their fruit.	21 Ed edificheranno delle case, e vi abiteranno; e pianteranno delle vigne, e ne mangeranno il frutto.
22 They will not build for others to live in, or plant for others to eat; for the days of my people wil be likethe days of a tree, and my chosen ones wil themselves use what they have made.	22 Ei non avverrà più ch’essi edifichino delle case, e che altri vi abiti dentro; ch’essi piantino, e che altri mangi il frutto; perciocchè i giorni del mio popolo saranno come i giorni degli alberi, e i miei eletti faranno invecchiar l’opera delle lor mani.
23 They will not toil in vain, nor bear children destined to disaster, for they are the race of Yahweh'sblessed ones and so are their offspring.	23 Non si affaticheranno più in vano, e non genereranno più a turbamento; perciocchè saranno la progenie de’ benedetti del Signore, ed avran seco quelli che saranno usciti di loro.
24 Thus, before they cal I shal answer, before they stop speaking I shal have heard.	24 Ed avverrà che, avanti che abbian gridato, io risponderò; mentre parleranno ancora, io li avrò esauditi.
25 The wolf and the young lamb wil feed together, the lion wil eat hay like the ox, and dust be theserpent's food. No hurt, no harm wil be done on al my holy mountain, Yahweh says.	25 Il lupo e l’agnello pastureranno insieme; e il leone mangerà lo strame come il bue; e il cibo della serpe sarà la polvere; queste bestie, in tutto il monte della mia santità, non faranno danno, nè guasto; ha detto il Signore
