Isaiah 41

NEW JERUSALEM	EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL
1 Coasts and islands, fal silent before me, and let the peoples renew their strength, let them comeforward and speak; let us assemble for judgement.	1 Ihr Inseln, hört schweigend auf mich, ihr Völker, wartet auf mich! Sie sollen kommen und ihre Sache vortragen, wir wollen vor Gericht gehen, alle zusammen.
2 'Who has raised from the east him whom saving justice summons in its train, him to whom Yahwehdelivers up the nations and subjects kings, him who reduces them to dust with his sword, and to driven stubblewith his bow,	2 Wer hat im Osten den geweckt, dem Gerechtigkeit folgt auf Schritt und Tritt? Wer gibt ihm die Völker preis und unterwirft ihm die Könige? Sein Schwert macht sie zu Staub, sein Bogen macht sie zu Spreu, die verweht.
3 him who pursues them and advances unhindered, his feet scarcely touching the road?	3 Er verfolgt sie, rückt unversehrt vor, berührt kaum mit den Füßen den Weg.
4 Who has acted thus, who has done this? He who cal s each generation from the beginning: I, Yahweh,who am the first and til the last I shal still be there.'	4 Wer hat das bewirkt und vollbracht? Er, der von Anfang an die Generationen (ins Dasein) rief. Ich, der Herr, bin der Erste und noch bei den Letzten bin ich derselbe.
5 The coasts and islands have seen and taken fright, the remotest parts of earth are trembling: they areapproaching, they are here!	5 Die Inseln sehen es und geraten in Furcht, die Enden der Erde erzittern; sie nähern sich und kommen herbei.
6 People help one another, they say to each other, 'Take heart!'	6 []
7 The woodworker encourages the smelter, the polisher encourages the hammerer, saying of thesoldering, 'It is sound'; and he fastens it with nails to keep it steady.	7 []
8 But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, descendant of Abraham my friend,	8 Du, mein Knecht Israel, du, Jakob, den ich erwählte, Nachkomme meines Freundes Abra-ham:
9 whom I have taken to myself, from the remotest parts of the earth and summoned from countries faraway, to whom I have said, 'You are my servant, I have chosen you, I have not rejected you,'	9 Ich habe dich von den Enden der Erde geholt, aus ihrem äußersten Winkel habe ich dich gerufen. Ich habe zu dir gesagt: Du bist mein Knecht, ich habe dich erwählt und dich nicht verschmäht.
10 do not be afraid, for I am with you; do not be alarmed, for I am your God. I give you strength, truly Ihelp you, truly I hold you firm with my saving right hand.	10 Fürchte dich nicht, denn ich bin mit dir; hab keine Angst, denn ich bin dein Gott. Ich helfe dir, ja, ich mache dich stark, ja, ich halte dich mit meiner hilfreichen Rechten.
11 Look, al those who rage against you wil be put to shame and humiliated; those who picked quarrelswith you will be reduced to nothing and wil perish.	11 Schmach und Schande kommt über alle, die sich über dich erhitzen. Die Männer, die mit dir streiten, werden zunichte und gehen zugrunde.
12 You wil look for them but wil not find them, those who used to fight you; they wil be destroyed andbrought to nothing, those who made war on you.	12 Du wirst sie suchen, aber nicht mehr finden, die Männer, die mit dir zanken. Sie werden zunichte und finden ihr Ende, die Männer, die dich bekriegen.
13 For I, Yahweh, your God, I grasp you by your right hand; I tel you, 'Do not be afraid, I shal help you.'	13 Denn ich bin der Herr, dein Gott, der deine rechte Hand ergreift und der zu dir sagt: Fürchte dich nicht, ich werde dir helfen.
14 Do not be afraid, Jacob, you worm! You little handful of Israel! I shall help you, declares Yahweh; yourredeemer is the Holy One of Israel.	14 Fürchte dich nicht, du armer Wurm Jakob, du Würmlein Israel! Ich selber werde dir helfen - Spruch des Herrn. Der Heilige Israels löst dich aus.
15 Look, I am making you into a threshing-sledge, new, with double teeth; you wil thresh and beat themountains to dust and reduce the hills to straw.	15 Zu einem Dreschschlitten mache ich dich, zu einem neuen Schlitten mit vielen Schneiden. Berge wirst du dreschen und sie zermalmen und Hügel machst du zu Spreu.
16 You wil winnow them and the wind wil carry them off, the gale will scatter them; whereas you wilrejoice in Yahweh, will glory in the Holy One of Israel.	16 Du worfelst sie und es verweht sie der Wind, es zerstreut sie der Sturm. Du aber jubelst über den Herrn, du rühmst dich des Heiligen Israels.
17 The oppressed and needy search for water, and there is none, their tongue is parched with thirst. I,Yahweh, shal answer them, I, the God of Israel, shal not abandon them.	17 Die Elenden und Armen suchen Wasser, doch es ist keines da; ihre Zunge vertrocknet vor Durst. Ich, der Herr, will sie erhören, ich, der Gott Israels, verlasse sie nicht.
18 I shal open up rivers on barren heights and water-holes down in the ravines; I shall turn the desertinto a lake and dry ground into springs of water.	18 Auf den kahlen Hügeln lasse ich Ströme hervorbrechen und Quellen inmitten der Täler.Ich mache die Wüste zum Teich und das ausgetrocknete Land zur Oase.
19 I shal plant the desert with cedar trees, acacias, myrtles and olives; in the wastelands I shal putcypress trees, plane trees and box trees side by side;	19 In der Wüste pflanze ich Zedern, Akazien, Ölbäume und Myrten. In der Steppe setze ich Zypressen, Platanen und auch Eschen.
20 so that people may see and know, so that they may all observe and understand that the hand ofYahweh has done this, that the Holy One of Israel has created it.	20 Dann werden alle sehen und erkennen, begreifen und verstehen, dass die Hand des Herrn das alles gemacht hat, dass der Heilige Israels es erschaffen hat.
21 'Present your case,' says Yahweh, 'Produce your arguments,' says Jacob's king.	21 Bringt eure Sache vor, spricht der Herr, schafft eure Beweise herbei, spricht Jakobs König.
22 'Let them produce and reveal to us what is going to happen. What happened in the past? Reveal it sothat we can consider it and know what the outcome wil be. Or tel us about the future,	22 Sie sollen vorbringen und uns kundtun, was sich ereignen wird. Was bedeutet das Vergangene? Teilt es uns mit, damit auch wir unseren Sinn darauf richten.Oder lasst uns das Zukünftige hören, damit wir das Ende erfahren.
23 reveal what is to happen next, and then we shal know that you are gods. At least, do something, be itgood or bad, so that we may feel alarm and fear.	23 Tut kund, was später noch kommt, damit wir erkennen: Ja, ihr seid Götter. Ja, tut Gutes oder Böses, damit wir alle zusammen es sehen und staunen.
24 Look, you are less than nothingness, and what you do is less than nothing; to choose you is anoutrage.'	24 Seht, ihr seid nichts, euer Tun ist ein Nichts; einen Gräuel wählt, wer immer euch wählt.
25 I have raised him from the north and he has come, from the east he has been summoned by name.He tramples on rulers like mud, like a potter treading clay.	25 Ich habe ihn im Norden geweckt und er kam; im Osten habe ich ihn beim Namen gerufen. Er hat die Fürsten wie Lehm zertreten, wie ein Töpfer den Ton stampft.
26 Who revealed this from the beginning for us to know, and in the past for us to say, 'That is right'? Noone in fact revealed it, no one proclaimed it, no one has heard you speak.	26 Wer hat es kundgetan von Anfang an, sodass wir es wussten? Wer hat es im Voraus kundgetan, sodass wir sagen konnten: Es ist richtig? Niemand hat es kundgetan, niemand hat es gemeldet, keiner hörte von euch ein einziges Wort.
27 First-fruits of Zion, look, here they come! I send a messenger to Jerusalem,	27 Ich habe Zion als Erster (gesagt): Sieh her, da ist es!, und habe Jerusalem einen Freudenboten geschickt.
28 and I look -- no one, not a single counsel or among them who, if I asked, could give an answer.	28 Ich blickte umher, doch niemand war da, keiner von diesen hier konnte mir raten und Antwort geben auf meine Fragen.
29 Taken altogether they are nothingness, what they do is nothing, their statues, wind and emptiness.	29 Seht her: Sie alle sind nichts, ihr Tun ist ein Nichts; windig und wesenlos sind die Bilder der Götter.
