Isaiah 11

1 A shoot wil spring from the stock of Jesse, a new shoot will grow from his roots.	1 E spunterà un pollone dalla radice di Jesse, e un fiore dalla radice di lui si alzerà;
2 On him wil rest the spirit of Yahweh, the spirit of wisdom and insight, the spirit of counsel and power,the spirit of knowledge and fear of Yahweh:	2 E sopra di lui riposerà lo spirito del Signore, spirito di sapienza, e d'intelligenza, spirito di consiglio, e di fortezza, spirito di scienza, e di pietà,
3 his inspiration wil lie in fearing Yahweh. His judgement wil not be by appearances. his verdict notgiven on hearsay.	3 E riempierallo lo spirito del timor del Signore. Ei non giudicherà secondo quello, che cogli occhi si vede, né secondo quello, che cogli orecchi si ode condannerà;
4 He will judge the weak with integrity and give fair sentence for the humblest in the land. He will strikethe country with the rod of his mouth and with the breath of his lips bring death to the wicked.	4 Ma giudicherà con giustizia i poveri e prenderà giustamente la difesa degli umili della terra: e colla verga della sua bocca percuoterà la terra; e col fiato delle sue labbra darà morte all'empio.
5 Uprightness wil be the belt around his waist, and constancy the belt about his hips.	5 E il cingolo de' suoi lombi sarà la giustizia; e la fede cintura de' suoi fianchi.
6 The wolf will live with the lamb, the panther lie down with the kid, calf, lion and fat-stock beast together,with a little boy to lead them.	6 Abiterà il lupo insieme coll'agnello; e il pardo giacerà insieme col capretto: il vitello, il lione, e la pecorella staranno uniti, e un piccol fanciullo sarà loro pastore.
7 The cow and the bear will graze, their young wil lie down together. The lion wil eat hay like the ox.	7 Il vitello, e l'orso anderanno a' medesimi pascoli: i loro parti staranno insieme a giacere; e come il bue mangerà paglia il lione,
8 The infant wil play over the den of the adder; the baby wil put his hand into the viper's lair.	8 E scherzerà fanciullo di latte alla buca di un aspide: e appena divezzato metterà la mano nella tana del basilisco.
9 No hurt, no harm wil be done on all my holy mountain, for the country wil be full of knowledge ofYahweh as the waters cover the sea.	9 Eglino non faran male, né uccideranno in tutto il mio monte santo; perchè la scienza del Signore riempie la terra, come le acque riempiono il mare.
10 That day, the root of Jesse, standing as a signal for the peoples, will be sought out by the nations andits home will be glorious.	10 In quel giorno il germe della radice di Jesse, il quale è posto qual segno alle nazioni, lui le nazioni invocheranno, e il sepolcro di lui sarà glorioso.
11 When that day comes, the Lord wil raise his hand a second time to ransom the remnant of his people,those stil left, from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, Cush and Elam, from Shinar, Hamath and the islands ofthe Sea.	11 E in quel giorno il Signore stenderà di nuovo la mano sua a fare acquisto degli avanzi del popolo suo, rimasi tra gli Assirj, e nell'Egitto, e a Phetros, e nell'Etiopia, e ad Elam, e a Sennaar, e nelle isole del mare.
12 He wil hoist a signal for the nations and assemble the outcasts of Israel; he wil gather the scatteredpeople of Judah from the four corners of the earth.	12 E alzerà uno stendardo alle nazioni, e raunerà i fuggitivi d'Israele; e i dispersi di Giuda raccoglierà dai quattro punti della terra.
13 Then Ephraim's jealousy wil cease and Judah's enemies be suppressed; Ephraim wil no longer bejealous of Judah nor Judah any longer hostile to Ephraim,	13 E sarà tolto lo scisma di Efraim, e Giuda non avrà più nemici. Efraim non avrà invidia a Giuda, e Giuda non farà guerra ad Efraim.
14 but together they will swoop on the Philistines' back, to the west, and together pil age the people ofthe east. Edom and Moab wil be subject to their sway and the Ammonites wil obey them.	14 E voleranno addosso ai Filistei dalla parte del mare, e faranno anche preda de' figliuoli dell'Oriente. L'Idumea, e i Moabiti saran presi di buon'ora dalle loro mani, e i figliuoli di Ammon presteran loro ubbidienza.
15 Then Yahweh wil dry up the gulf of the Sea of Egypt, he will raise his hand against the River with theheat of his breath. He wil divide it into seven streams for them to cross dry-shod.	15 E il Signore asciugherà la lingua del mare d'Egitto, e stenderà la mano sua sopra il fiume col suo soffio possente: e lo percuoterà ne' suoi sette rivi, talmente che si passi senza scalzarsi.
16 And there wil be a highway for the remnant of his people for those stil left, from Assyria, as there wasfor Israel when he came out of Egypt.	16 Ed avranno passaggio gli avanzi del mio popolo, che sarà lasciato (vivo) dagli Assirj: come lo ebbe Israele in quel giorno, in cui uscì della terra d'Egitto.
