Isaiah 11

NEW JERUSALEM	LXX
1 A shoot wil spring from the stock of Jesse, a new shoot will grow from his roots.	1 και εξελευσεται ραβδος εκ της ριζης ιεσσαι και ανθος εκ της ριζης αναβησεται
2 On him wil rest the spirit of Yahweh, the spirit of wisdom and insight, the spirit of counsel and power,the spirit of knowledge and fear of Yahweh:	2 και αναπαυσεται επ' αυτον πνευμα του θεου πνευμα σοφιας και συνεσεως πνευμα βουλης και ισχυος πνευμα γνωσεως και ευσεβειας
3 his inspiration wil lie in fearing Yahweh. His judgement wil not be by appearances. his verdict notgiven on hearsay.	3 εμπλησει αυτον πνευμα φοβου θεου ου κατα την δοξαν κρινει ουδε κατα την λαλιαν ελεγξει
4 He will judge the weak with integrity and give fair sentence for the humblest in the land. He will strikethe country with the rod of his mouth and with the breath of his lips bring death to the wicked.	4 αλλα κρινει ταπεινω κρισιν και ελεγξει τους ταπεινους της γης και παταξει γην τω λογω του στοματος αυτου και εν πνευματι δια χειλεων ανελει ασεβη
5 Uprightness wil be the belt around his waist, and constancy the belt about his hips.	5 και εσται δικαιοσυνη εζωσμενος την οσφυν αυτου και αληθεια ειλημενος τας πλευρας
6 The wolf will live with the lamb, the panther lie down with the kid, calf, lion and fat-stock beast together,with a little boy to lead them.	6 και συμβοσκηθησεται λυκος μετα αρνος και παρδαλις συναναπαυσεται εριφω και μοσχαριον και ταυρος και λεων αμα βοσκηθησονται και παιδιον μικρον αξει αυτους
7 The cow and the bear will graze, their young wil lie down together. The lion wil eat hay like the ox.	7 και βους και αρκος αμα βοσκηθησονται και αμα τα παιδια αυτων εσονται και λεων και βους αμα φαγονται αχυρα
8 The infant wil play over the den of the adder; the baby wil put his hand into the viper's lair.	8 και παιδιον νηπιον επι τρωγλην ασπιδων και επι κοιτην εκγονων ασπιδων την χειρα επιβαλει
9 No hurt, no harm wil be done on all my holy mountain, for the country wil be full of knowledge ofYahweh as the waters cover the sea.	9 και ου μη κακοποιησωσιν ουδε μη δυνωνται απολεσαι ουδενα επι το ορος το αγιον μου οτι ενεπλησθη η συμπασα του γνωναι τον κυριον ως υδωρ πολυ κατακαλυψαι θαλασσας
10 That day, the root of Jesse, standing as a signal for the peoples, will be sought out by the nations andits home will be glorious.	10 και εσται εν τη ημερα εκεινη η ριζα του ιεσσαι και ο ανισταμενος αρχειν εθνων επ' αυτω εθνη ελπιουσιν και εσται η αναπαυσις αυτου τιμη
11 When that day comes, the Lord wil raise his hand a second time to ransom the remnant of his people,those stil left, from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, Cush and Elam, from Shinar, Hamath and the islands ofthe Sea.	11 και εσται τη ημερα εκεινη προσθησει κυριος του δειξαι την χειρα αυτου του ζηλωσαι το καταλειφθεν υπολοιπον του λαου ο αν καταλειφθη απο των ασσυριων και απο αιγυπτου και βαβυλωνιας και αιθιοπιας και απο αιλαμιτων και απο ηλιου ανατολων και εξ αραβιας
12 He wil hoist a signal for the nations and assemble the outcasts of Israel; he wil gather the scatteredpeople of Judah from the four corners of the earth.	12 και αρει σημειον εις τα εθνη και συναξει τους απολομενους ισραηλ και τους διεσπαρμενους του ιουδα συναξει εκ των τεσσαρων πτερυγων της γης
13 Then Ephraim's jealousy wil cease and Judah's enemies be suppressed; Ephraim wil no longer bejealous of Judah nor Judah any longer hostile to Ephraim,	13 και αφαιρεθησεται ο ζηλος εφραιμ και οι εχθροι ιουδα απολουνται εφραιμ ου ζηλωσει ιουδαν και ιουδας ου θλιψει εφραιμ
14 but together they will swoop on the Philistines' back, to the west, and together pil age the people ofthe east. Edom and Moab wil be subject to their sway and the Ammonites wil obey them.	14 και πετασθησονται εν πλοιοις αλλοφυλων θαλασσαν αμα προνομευσουσιν και τους αφ' ηλιου ανατολων και ιδουμαιαν και επι μωαβ πρωτον τας χειρας επιβαλουσιν οι δε υιοι αμμων πρωτοι υπακουσονται
15 Then Yahweh wil dry up the gulf of the Sea of Egypt, he will raise his hand against the River with theheat of his breath. He wil divide it into seven streams for them to cross dry-shod.	15 και ερημωσει κυριος την θαλασσαν αιγυπτου και επιβαλει την χειρα αυτου επι τον ποταμον πνευματι βιαιω και παταξει επτα φαραγγας ωστε διαπορευεσθαι αυτον εν υποδημασιν
16 And there wil be a highway for the remnant of his people for those stil left, from Assyria, as there wasfor Israel when he came out of Egypt.	16 και εσται διοδος τω καταλειφθεντι μου λαω εν αιγυπτω και εσται τω ισραηλ ως η ημερα οτε εξηλθεν εκ γης αιγυπτου
